We purchased the Se Rav 4 last August and first 6 months 4,400 miles on one tank!
Road trips we get 38 miles per gallon.
This is a smart automobile. 86% of our driving is in EV.
We had a level 2 charger installed in the garage.
Even with a slow 3.3 kWh charger in the SE empty to full is 4 hrs 30 min.

I'm in the process of ordering the SE model now. Thanks for this informative video! Unfortunately they aren't really getting them in the Mid-West (1 per dealership is what I was told), so I'm taking a train to New York and driving it back to Michigan. Will be a nice long test drive. Ha!

This vehicle is hard to find and even harder to find without a big dealer markup. The problem with EVs in general is that, other than Tesla, the charging infrastructure is inadequate to support them and many people don’t have a home to install a charger. The plug-in hybrid eliminates that problem by maintaining a gas option. No more range anxiety. And if the Toyota doesn’t look fancy enough for you, Lexus is putting it in a tuxedo as the new NX 450h.

Another great, and fun, review. I learned you could be cool in your 2021 Audi SQ8 review, but now with this one, I know you can be a goofball too. :-)
I haven't decided on my purchase yet. Still deciding between the Audi Q8 or SQ8 ( coupe style, mid size though still large suv), the GMC Yukon AT4 or Denali or the Cadillac Escalade (full size suv's), all top trim, fully loaded 2021's whichever I get. If I go Denali or Escalade, I'm considering their diesel versions. That said, I'm leaning towards the SQ8, in part thanks to your great review of that one. Though previously tempted with the Toyota RAV4 (non-hybrid), in part for the cost savings but also its other capabilities and solid reputation, I had decided against it, thinking I'd go ahead and spend the extra money for one of the other, much more expensive options; but seeing this review of the hybrid PRIME version, this RAV4 Prime with the faster charging option you mentioned (RAV4 Prime XSE) is now back in the running, as a lesser expensive though still very attractive and capable choice. I'll have to get out and test drive it.
Would love to see you do a review on any or all of the 2021 GM vehicles I mention above (GMC Yukon AT4 Premium Plus or Denali Ultimate, or Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum). Either way, thanks for another great review.

I had an Audi A6. Though it was beautiful, it was by far, the worse car I have ever owned. The repair bills were phenomenal. The German line of engineering was a joke. Never again. Had a 1996 Chevy Tahoe till 2019. Great truck, but fuel consumption was too much. I have a BMW Z3, which has been a great and reliable car. Come winter, god awful in the snow. The new BMW's are a money pit. Just purchased a 2021 RAV4Prime with the Premium package. I live 11 miles to a ski area and with electric drive range of 42 miles, won't be using any gasoline. And Toyota reputation for quality, is second to none.
      Good luck on search.

I forgot to ask one question about this RAV4 Prime: The plug in capability, especially with the fast charge option, is fantastic. That it can also run wholly on gas, that too is great. My question is: Do you know if the electric battery recharges while driving on gas? Or will it only recharge when plugged in? I think most of these hybrids are the later, but thought to ask. Thanks again.
