Saw Neil yrs back and it was one of the best shows I ever saw. There was no division, no hate, no left, no right and no one uttered the word woke once. There was only unity. Everybody watching this man at the top of his game doing what he does best, sing to the people and make them happy😊
If Neil sang "Play Me" he uttered the word "woke". "I one day woke up to find her lying beside my bed..." Just messin' with ya. You are absolutely correct. Who ever could have foreseen the world we live in, today. Even today's "music" is awful.

He is my all time favorite singer. I saw a recent interview and he was struggling to speak. Just like me with Diabetes, I hate it. But I hate seeing Neil struggle to speak.

I was Migrant Farmworker, in the fields of California. He kept our hearts in tune with his songs,. Day after day of grueling manual labor, Neil Diamond was my escape. I loved his music then and I still do. My wonderful Son bought me tickets for his concert in San Antonio. I was in my late 50s. I cried and cried. He kept me going through those young years. I'm now a Doctor. My son gave me one of my best birthday gifts. There will only be ONE Neil Diamond. My God sealed away the mold.

I wasn't a farm worker, but worked in restaurants and am the daughter of an immigrant who came to the US after WWII. I started listening to Neil Diamond when I was 12. His voice, words & melodies kept me going through tough times & happy ones too. I saw him in San Francisco in 1985. The music of our lives - there are many of us who have liked Neil Duamond for a long time. I'm sorry he had to stop performing because of Parkinson's because he said he enjoyed his concerts as much as the audiences..

Do a search for Theuns Jordaan doing covers of Neil Diamond's songs. Theuns passed away in 2021, leukaemia. He was my second choice Neil Diamond.

He is soulful and you can see it in his eyes and the way he enunciates his words when he sings. If you look closely, you can see the tears in his eyes when he signs 'I am'.

I favor Neil about everyone else, but in addition to him, I do enjoy listening to Elvis and Johnny Mathis. They all have very distinct voices. What makes Neil the most talented, though, is he writes his own music.

Started listening to him when I was 11 or 12. Neil's lyrics spoke to me more than any of his contemporaries. Throughout my 20's I was a professional piano player/singer and won over many audiences with Neil's songs. Diamond is forever.

I keep looking at his facial expression at 1:58 and then the nod at 2:00 where he realizes he has to get back to the song, I would love to know what he was thinking of at that moment....I'm your typical Stones/Zeppelin/Pink Floyd person, but Neil has also been there as well (strange bedfellows I know). He's certainly a generational talent, and always sung from the heart.....today's singers can really learn something from him....

I was born 1959, my mom was a fan of Neil Diamond and we/I listened to his music, most of my early years . I didn't appreciate his music until much , much later. he has such a soothing voice. Aside from Elvis, in my opinion Neil Diamond is on par w/ any singer today past or present.

I have watched him perform live many times, I have introduced my wife and my kids to his wonderful music but I always ask myself the same question...
Why does one of the world's greatest singer/songwriters need to pretend to play guitar ?
Neil you haven't the slightest clue what to do with a guitar so put it down and do what you do brilliantly...Sing !
A True singer songwriter with pure emotion in every song he performs I'm 55 grew up listening to his music when my mother would. Either play on album or 8 track .
