Genuinely great drummer. Inspired me to start playing the drums! I’m 15 and while I won’t likely get lessons until the summer of ‘24, it was Dom who fuelled that passion. I’m really beginning to appreciate music on a deeper level than I was younger, and drums really speak to me. I’ll be 16 when I start drumming properly but still… Dom is an incredible and inspiring musician!

Il n'a que deux pads électro (cela fait longtemps qu'il a ce type de kit d'ailleurs). Et le Tom 16 est inutile si tu écoutes un peu les sons du derniers albums et des deux précédents
@@robertfanclubrobertinho2117 3 pas 2 mais passons... c'est surtout le tom18 qu'il avait sur son côté droit. On sent la différence de son notamment sur MOTP ou KOC. Celà dit, Dom reste un des meilleurs batteurs de la génération actuelle.
His pads mainly allow him to have less overall “stuff” in his setup, the ribbon crasher he used to have between his Tom & ride is now a pad, his mounted tambourine is now a pad, & his 16 floor Tom is now a pad. So instead of having both of those auxiliary pieces, & 2 extra floor Toms, aaaaand pads, Now he just uses 3 Roland pads. It might not look as cool but it makes sense from an efficiency / minimalism standpoint. Which I imagine is preferable as he gets older.

Speaking as someone who doesn't use double kick very often, if you don't have a lot of experience with it, it takes a lot of concentration.
Matt does the same thing easier to hear things when you’re not seeing flashing crazy shit
I noticed he was closing his eyes during the strobes. Idk if it's related to either or but you can tell he is very detailed with his art.
