This video reminded me of my mother who was only 19 when she had me. She was a natural beauty with long black hair, high cheekbones and blue eyes. As a young girl, I would get embarrassed over all the stares and head turning she would get while we were out. I remember as a teenager, one of the boys In our crowd saw her and said, ‘Wow, she looks better than the daughter, which crushed me. She wasn’t looking for attention, she came from a small town and was genuinely sweet and humble. She met my father at a dance in her hometown, while he was stationed in the Army. After they were married they moved to NYC where my father and his family were from. She drew lots of attention because she was beautiful and very sweet. When I got older I admired her for not only her beauty but her humble way. Unfortunately, she passed away early on, and I miss her terribly ..she was my best friend.

It’s part of womanhood 😊 🥰 this typically starts when we are in our late teens. The men are admiring and judging. What videos like this show is that a woman's worth is dependent on her looks and how many people stop to look at her. It's an archaic way of looking at a woman's beauty. We should be teaching women to be confident no matter what, not because of some unachievable standard of beauty that most women can't achieve. BTW there are even Hollywood starlets that are actually opening up and talking about the damage such ideology has done to them. We are currently living in a society were influencers like these and videos like these are resulting in women feeling so inadequate they are getting addicted to plastic surgery, in a society were depression and eating disorders are on the rise in children as young as 10 years old. A woman's self-worth should be dependent on her achievements, not her looks, which will start to fade as soon as she hits 40 ....then what? Research shows that social media such as this is leading to more and more women and maybe men too suffering from low self-image and worth. My young cousin, who is only 15 years old, is currently suffering from an eating disorder just because of idiotic social media videos such as this. I think people need to understand the power they wield when putting up content such as this. With great power comes great responsibility. Even if it does come from a comic book, it is true. It's up to you to acknowledge that or not. Personally, after all my cousin has been through and still going through, I would want videos like this deleted from all social media platforms and people that create such content to be banned until they develop a sense of responsibility. Notice that most of the women don't look at her in a nice way? Mostly in jealousy or disgust. I grew up in a family of males. I didn't know what female jealousy was until I got older and married someone from my neighborhood. I would be surrounded by all of the wives of my husband's friends....and these women were downright vicious! They would bad-mouth either the best-looking woman or the one getting most of the attention from the guys. I couldn't deal with these women!
Isn't it possible that the women don't mean to look in disgust but maybe that's their default face? I do get female jealousy is a thing but I would be so embarrassed if I got caught by the camera and someone thought I was looking with disgust. My lips have a natural downturn so smiling takes extra effort. I used to get called out in public a lot for looking grumpy and I would be so surprised people thought I was angry when I was just in neutral position

This is nothing out of the ordinary as an attractive woman who likes to dress up. I’m also used to being stared at anytime I walk down any street. It’s part of womanhood 😊 🥰 this typically starts when we are in our late teens. The men are admiring and judging. I personally get a kick out of asserting myself and holding space for myself with a nice outfit, and shocking judgmental-looking men 😅. The women are also judging and admiring.

What videos like this show is that a woman's worth is dependent on her looks and how many people stop to look at her. It's an archaic way of looking at a woman's beauty. We should be teaching women to be confident no matter what, not because of some unachievable standard of beauty that most women can't achieve. BTW there are even Hollywood starlets that are actually opening up and talking about the damage such ideology has done to them. We are currently living in a society were influencers like these and videos like these are resulting in women feeling so inadequate they are getting addicted to plastic surgery, in a society were depression and eating disorders are on the rise in children as young as 10 years old. A woman's self-worth should be dependent on her achievements, not her looks, which will start to fade as soon as she hits 40 ....then what?
Research shows that social media such as this is leading to more and more women and maybe men too suffering from low self-image and worth. My young cousin, who is only 15 years old, is currently suffering from an eating disorder just because of idiotic social media videos such as this. I think people need to understand the power they wield when putting up content such as this. With great power comes great responsibility. Even if it does come from a comic book, it is true. It's up to you to acknowledge that or not. Personally, after all my cousin has been through and still going through, I would want videos like this deleted from all social media platforms and people that create such content to be banned until they develop a sense of responsibility. But that's my personal opinion. Your welcome to have your own. I give you permission to. 😉

I grew up in a family of males. I didn't know what female jealousy was until I got older and married someone from my neighborhood. I would be surrounded by all of the wives of my husband's friends....and these women were downright vicious! They would bad-mouth either the best-looking woman or the one getting most of the attention from the guys. I couldn't deal with these women!
Some of the nastiest looks or name calling come from other women.
Isn't it possible that the women don't mean to look in disgust but maybe that's their default face? I do get female jealousy is a thing but I would be so embarrassed if I got caught by the camera and someone thought I was looking with disgust. My lips have a natural downturn so smiling takes extra effort. I used to get called out in public a lot for looking grumpy and I would be so surprised people thought I was angry when I was just in neutral position
