Death Valley is a place of wonder and mystery! Watch how the Rare Lake that formed in Badwater Basin reflects the moon turning the Night into Day in Death Valley National Park!

So Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Very nice, Jim
Thanks Doug! I am glad you liked it!
Just a fantastic job both technically and artistically. Watchable from beginning to end, all that is missing is some popcorn :)
Oh man... I must have eaten all the popcorn! :)
Thanks!
Just found your channel and subbed. Fantastic work! Please share your camera and lenses used for your Milky Way time lapses. If I had to guess, I’d say your camera is likely the Sony A7Siii.
Thanks so much for Subscribing! I really appreciate it.
Sony makes some great camera's, My 2 main cameras are the D850 with a Sigma 14mm f1.8 lens, and the one used on this timelapse a D810 with a Samyang 14mm f2.8.
To give Sony a little love, I do also use at times the Sony A6400 with a Samyang 12mm f2.0. that combo is a little Milky Way capturing machine.
So kind of you to reply. Your comment about Sony’s crop sensor A6400 made my day.😀 Your Nikon cameras have great reputations among astrophotographers but you certainly prove it’s not the camera but the person behind it. I’ve been a visual only astronomer (no astrophotgraphy) for over a decade. I hope I eventually get skilled enough at nightscapes to justify buying a full frame camera. I just started Milky Way photography two months ago with an A6400 and Sony 11mm f1.8. Your work is inspirational.
I like how the shadow of the mountains to the east disappear right at the end with the reflection shadow and the mountain slope shadow meeting on the distant shore.
Thank you! I enjoyed also watching the various reflections come and go through the night.
