- The Sepdiurnal Virus is rapidly changing and the Red Moon Phenomenon now occurs every single night... In this playthrough I'll be spinning a wheel to determine the difficulty each day (aka viral mutation/evolution). Some days will be easy, others will be very hard! And each day there will be a horde night. How long can we last before we're overrun by the undead?!

With the catwalk it might be better to flip the electric fences too and you can repair them along with the blade traps. Just a thought.
It's satisfying to watch how focused and goal orientated you are in this playthrough, the small incremental improvements and adaptations with calm and level headed commentary is calming.
I haven't been this excited for a CZcams upload in a while.
Drive ins used to get subsidized to add generators and other stuff so they could be used for disasters and events

I kinda like it when the zombies are weak. You spearing them and like 5 zombies go flying is pretty impressive! Plus the stacks of bodies at the traps, and the amount that go splodey in pipe bombs, is very entertaining.
I like it too! I get so used to fighting tanky zombies that I forget how fun it can be to mow them down with ease once in a while

You could add some kind of positive effect to the random day stuff which might dictate your daily activity. IE: +100% loot level, Double loot quantity, 300% player block damage and double ore from mining, +50% run speed and 50% stamina usage from melee weapons, etc...
That would have been cool to do that from the start!

I didn't pay enough attention to my game stage, and I got demolition zombies before upgrading to concrete 🤦♂️
You should put zombie speed during blood moon from sprint to nightmare, so if you have to run out, its extra challenging with all your settings for the day
You said something about repurposing the ammo you don't need into something you do need. The fun pimps or better yet somebody should mod the workbench capabilities and make that an option. I mean it's perfect. I mean if I had a work bench and I had a bunch of ammo for a gun I don't have I would repurpose it at the workbench into ammo for a gun I do have.

Arlene doing pirouettes on the motorcycle was pretty silly, but not quite as funny as you hitting the horde zombies hard enough that they flew back out the door and down the stairs. Now _THAT_ was hilarious!
Had to double-check that last one to make sure i saw that, and then i remembered that with steel clubs, you can hit zombies so hard they can land on the roof of the build across the street from the one you are on.

I enjoy the Feral Sense modifier on the lower difficulty days. More zombies but easier to kill is the way I like it :p
If you head west from that drive-in you'll find a large, flat open field - looks like they might be planning on putting another little town there perhaps? Be a good place to build a base on if it wasn't along the edge of the map.

What did you use for it when it gonna have horde the camera was very cool from outside of the base.
I believe he runs a multiplayer game and uses a second player as the camera. Then plays the horde night twice for maximum footage.

Protip of dubious protippy.
Light armor for every day stuff. Heavy armor for horde night. You are standing in one place, so the run speed malus is basically nil, and the importance of reducing damage is so much more important anyway.
I usually just leave the heavy armor (and important supplies) in a dedicated chest near my horde holdout point. The chest serves two points. It's a checklist of important supplies to guarantee I never "Oh crap, I forgot the X back in base" and a good place to hold the heavy armor.

Re: crafting military clothing (and clothing in general). I sew a lot of my own clothes IRL and they're generally always better than ones I buy - it should be the same for clothes you craft yourself in 7d2d - the simplest way that the needle and thread books would have worth beyond being able to craft double pocket mods would be to have clothes have some stat when you craft them yourself.

I have a theory on why the world is so full of useless .44 ammo (tons of ammo but few weapons to use it). the the early part of the apocalypse, everyone smart defaulted to their automatics and high volume pistols, trading/selling their .44's and ammo to buy 7.62/9mm/shells. The traders re-sold those weapons to collectors and survivors who 'thought magnums where cool'. When those people died (lead in zeds saves lives after all), the .44 weapons just rusted away in the dirt. Thus you have a surplus of .44 ammo and little to use it in.

Okay, so me and a buddy bought and downloaded this game 2 days ago.. already spent 10 hours into the game. The game is pretty interesting and fun, even though i have no clue what i'm doing. Our first horde night.. was... well lightly put a disaster. Watched a few videos on your channel and it's helping me out quite a bit, thanks for that!

So just for future reference when it comes to seeing the gyro on the magazine list just use the scroll wheel on the mouse. Other overhaul mods that use the magazines have it so u have to scroll to see the other cool things they offer. R u really super high level on helldivers 2. I’m only 68. Good luck sir

@@jaydunbar7538 yea, tracking. I just think at this point in the playthrough he should eliminate the nomad difficulty in the randomizer. Maybe even the warrior. Preference only, though.
Are you sure about that fuel efficiency. When it checked how many planks you get from scrapping a log on your server you seem to get more from using logs then the planks you got from them.

idea, why not put mini horde bases in citys, so on days of feral sense you can stir up the city and clean up, the roaming hordes, and other mega amount of zombie days
When I first started playing (many years ago) I would always put a mini horde base on the outskirts of every city. All had some food, drink, health, ammo and a forge and workbench. Not really designed for a horde but as a safe sleeping place if night fell and I didn't want to go all the way home.
I have no idea how you can get anything done while doing a horde every night
Efficient horse base, I personally like horse every night it certainly shows you what actually matters to survival in the game lol

at 02:00 you see the atrocious pathing that 7d has in its vanilla form. I still recommend Redbeardt’s Path Smoothing.
I get the feeling the eye candy doesn't do anything... makes me wonder if the loot you get is set the moment you break open it open but not actually open the loot box. Maybe try taking the eye candy before you break open a working stiff tools crate or a pass and gas or breaking open a gun safe.
I say this because it seems all the times you've used eye candy the loot never looked any better. I could be wrong but I'm just speculating.
The loot candy doesn’t really do much most of the time if you understand the loot table. If you’re close to moving into a higher loot table it can take you over the edge, but the odds of getting anything good from the new table is very low being at the bottom of it. Being higher in the lower tiers can improve odds of better items from those, but no matter what it’s a small difference that you will never be able to actually say “I wouldn’t have got this without the candy” unless you do a huge sample to get a statistically relevant data set.
