I was addicted to this show from the start but abruptly stopped watching a year ago when more and more came out about how fake this really was. I, like so many others, felt duped. Not that I didn't think all along that SOME stuff was staged or made up for ratings; all "reality" shows do that. But, anyway, Nicki forgot to mention Matt's DUI bust and his trip to rehab, and some other "scandals" that plagued the Brown family. It's a bummer there was SO much fakery, I really loved that show for years.
Discovery bought them 400 acres in loomis wa about 5 miles from my house. They are currently living in a lake house on palmer lake the film crew is staying in the resort on palmer.
The real issue isn't so much the show being fake, but more so the criminal activity they engaged in for years prior to the show, and some of which they engage in to his very day. The show preys on the elderly, mostly elderly ladies. They get them to feel sorry for them thinking they're living poor, and these ladies send them cash and gift cards. I am sorry that there is soo much that is not true. I use to watch this show but lost touch with it. I often wondered about the living conditions of the crew. I was also disturbed when they chose a place soo full of bears to live. It is sort of a dissappointment to know that this place is really a tourist attraction but I won't worry about bears anymore.
Browntown really existed. I went to Juneau and Hoonah last year and stayed at The Icy Strait Lodge in Hoonah. I talked with the owners and many other people there and they all told me that the Brown's used to stay there while filming, But as of Nov 2016 they had a lodge out there in Browntown where they were staying. Rarely ever came into Hoonah anymore. I saw the production manager a couple of times when she came into town picking up "to go" food for the filming crew from The Icy Strait Lodge. Yes, there are many things that are not so true. But there are a few things that are.
Nah thats a load, it was and always has been Hillmans Ranch. The cabin built by a construction crew was just a set, they never stayed there. Not much was honestly true about the show and even less about the Browns. Theyre traveling scam artists. The cancer is real though, but considering their steady diet of Dr Pepper and cigarettes with all the other unhealthy living it really isnt shocking. They werent going into Huna more because they werent in Alaska as much as they were when the show first started.
I know someone that is friends with the Brown man/boys and she has tons of pictures of them leaving the lodge to catch the boat out to the island to film..Lol! they would party at the bar in the lodge on Friday and Saturday nights with Bam,Gabe,and Matt of course..The boys did not ever try to lie when not filming they were always yeah were here filming a tv reality show..The cabin was built by locals it was leased by the production company for I think 7 yrs and that ids when they packed it up at left Brown town Also..It was all FAKE and if Matt's CZcams channel hadn't been scrubbed clean they would have never gotten away with the lies that was told..I was one of his 7 viewers and he filmed them driving from where they were living in Nashville to Washington state where they were supposed to meet a man that was going to fund the money for a documentary based on that book that Billy "Supposedly" wrote..But when they got there they found out that the man had died so from there on it went dark still have no clue how they ended up with the DC channel but the road trip was crazy they were filmed eating at all kinds of fast food places like Pizza Hut but on the show they lied about never having pizza Lol..Also Matt filmed himself going to the dentist and he paid with money and not fish imagine that..I stopped watching their bs when Billy started having his seizures..There was something off about that which did not ring true.I had a friend that had really bad seizures and Billy did not fit that profile so I stopped watching..I read about Ami and it is sad I lost my mother to cancer at 16 so I know what it is like to watch your mom die from that awful disease..I also worry about Rain she will end up in a mess if someone doesn't step in asap.I also hope that they watch over Bear because he will need some help in my opinion and if Ami does Billy will loose it and sadly the family will implode with the Brown siblings spending like there is no tomorrow until it is gone and then what go home to Billy? I dunno if he will be much help to them not that he was ever a role model but still he was all they knew and had as a father figure..

I'm not sure what to think any more about this show. I do know I am getting sick of tuning in to the show, with the description pointing out that it is a new episode and then to find it is simply a new show filled with nothing but re-runs from other shows. This is happening way more than not. And I will say that if it is true that the mother has cancer and they moved to California to be near medical help that was best for them, it was completely ignorant to "close down Brown Town". I totally get the idea of being near family at a time of need. But why, if the town is real, waste all that time, work, money, etc? I mean they could easily have alternated a few people at a time tokeep the place up. safe from bears, and not let it go to ruins which happens quickly in those areas. My mother or father would not have allowed me to shut my life down to be somewhere just to be clsoe. They would want me to keep living my life. If they can travel as freely as it seems they can, like I said, they easily could have kept the place alive while alternating being with their mother. It is selfish on the parents part. But the kids are brain washed to not see it any other way.

Who cares like they're never allowed to leave Alaska I still enjoy the show. If I suddenly came into some money for doing a reality show like they did I take a vacation to New York and Hawaii too.

I am sorry that there is soo much that is not true. I use to watch this show but lost touch with it. I often wondered about the living conditions of the crew. I was also disturbed when they chose a place soo full of bears to live. It is sort of a dissappointment to know that this place is really a tourist attraction but I won't worry about bears anymore.
Browntown really existed. I went to Juneau and Hoonah last year and stayed at The Icy Strait Lodge in Hoonah. I talked with the owners and many other people there and they all told me that the Brown's used to stay there while filming, But as of Nov 2016 they had a lodge out there in Browntown where they were staying. Rarely ever came into Hoonah anymore. I saw the production manager a couple of times when she came into town picking up "to go" food for the filming crew from The Icy Strait Lodge. Yes, there are many things that are not so true. But there are a few things that are.
Nah thats a load, it was and always has been Hillmans Ranch. The cabin built by a construction crew was just a set, they never stayed there. Not much was honestly true about the show and even less about the Browns. Theyre traveling scam artists. The cancer is real though, but considering their steady diet of Dr Pepper and cigarettes with all the other unhealthy living it really isnt shocking. They werent going into Huna more because they werent in Alaska as much as they were when the show first started.
I know someone that is friends with the Brown man/boys and she has tons of pictures of them leaving the lodge to catch the boat out to the island to film..Lol! they would party at the bar in the lodge on Friday and Saturday nights with Bam,Gabe,and Matt of course..The boys did not ever try to lie when not filming they were always yeah were here filming a tv reality show..The cabin was built by locals it was leased by the production company for I think 7 yrs and that ids when they packed it up at left Brown town Also..It was all FAKE and if Matt's CZcams channel hadn't been scrubbed clean they would have never gotten away with the lies that was told..I was one of his 7 viewers and he filmed them driving from where they were living in Nashville to Washington state where they were supposed to meet a man that was going to fund the money for a documentary based on that book that Billy "Supposedly" wrote..But when they got there they found out that the man had died so from there on it went dark still have no clue how they ended up with the DC channel but the road trip was crazy they were filmed eating at all kinds of fast food places like Pizza Hut but on the show they lied about never having pizza Lol..Also Matt filmed himself going to the dentist and he paid with money and not fish imagine that..I stopped watching their bs when Billy started having his seizures..There was something off about that which did not ring true.I had a friend that had really bad seizures and Billy did not fit that profile so I stopped watching..I read about Ami and it is sad I lost my mother to cancer at 16 so I know what it is like to watch your mom die from that awful disease..I also worry about Rain she will end up in a mess if someone doesn't step in asap.I also hope that they watch over Bear because he will need some help in my opinion and if Ami does Billy will loose it and sadly the family will implode with the Brown siblings spending like there is no tomorrow until it is gone and then what go home to Billy? I dunno if he will be much help to them not that he was ever a role model but still he was all they knew and had as a father figure..

I never liked it especially Billy he control freak makes evryones decision for them . One episode when went to that bar to find out were to get lumber from who hell build cabin with winter around the corner. Winter comes fast in Alaska. Billy judgmental veiew of local at that bar. Like they any better those people are resident tax payers . The browns are lowest pices of trash . Which explained why people looked at them with unwelcome stare. It obvious people can tell they were frauds . Then didn't have $$ suposedley . No body in right is goin provide the with lumber especially if they got no $$ . People out Ben fucked over by trash like browns. All Billy had offer was his two strong /dim witted boys sorry those wouldn't cover cost of lumber n materials not mention tools . Then Billy insults bartender who made call for them bout the lumber with his we Browns don't drink people who have no or poor judgement . If I was bar tender I would well why get fuck out my bar n go cut some trees down you no money having fraud s . U see reaction in those people when Billy said that shit like they better than everyone else. No wonder his son Gabe or whoever started drinking.

I love this show. LOL. But disappointed in this video. The only happy thing is that Bam Bam got married. I do find it odd that the kids are so old and not with someone or married or have kids. I thought that was strange. Both sides of my family are huge and no one stuck around until they were 40....

I'm not sure what to think any more about this show. I do know I am getting sick of tuning in to the show, with the description pointing out that it is a new episode and then to find it is simply a new show filled with nothing but re-runs from other shows. This is happening way more than not. And I will say that if it is true that the mother has cancer and they moved to California to be near medical help that was best for them, it was completely ignorant to "close down Brown Town". I totally get the idea of being near family at a time of need. But why, if the town is real, waste all that time, work, money, etc? I mean they could easily have alternated a few people at a time tokeep the place up. safe from bears, and not let it go to ruins which happens quickly in those areas. My mother or father would not have allowed me to shut my life down to be somewhere just to be clsoe. They would want me to keep living my life. If they can travel as freely as it seems they can, like I said, they easily could have kept the place alive while alternating being with their mother. It is selfish on the parents part. But the kids are brain washed to not see it any other way.

FYI Billy Brown has another wife & more kids.When his parents died in plain crash they left him a lot lot of money.Millions & Millions They where loaded had Fortune 500 company & biggest land owners in Texas.. He's never had to work & he never will have to work.
I first became aware that the Browns were not fully in tune with mother nature. When I started seeing the females using wearing makeup that is made to the lowest standards of quality with poison's toxic chemicals that never changed their killing composition.
