    Well, you hooked me Kevin. Minuscule CPU drainage, plug 'n play. Are flutes and clarinets in the near to be future? Of course we are all waiting for your strings!

    Speaking of V Winds, the Clarinets are finally released that you can try it out later.

    I don't know if you already take care of this now, but it would be nice if you don't include the mic audio while playing examples of the plugin, because I first thought the noise was coming from the instrument, which could've been a problem 😅

      Sorry my bad, will improve it going on from here.

    So which library was the A !?

  • @eriong.7446
    @eriong.7446 Před 3 měsíci

    The only problem is that while I don’t have a very good ear and I can easily be fooled by a sample library based mockup, I could instantly pick out the synthy quality of the modeled one snd I didn’t like it at all. They don’t have body, just like the modeled string libraries. My most regretted purchase of libraries ever is swam strings….

    • @remylauren7604
      @remylauren7604 Před 3 měsíci

      you have to understand the signal flow in which those librarys were recorded so you can mimick those settings with swam. for starters the reverb should be 100% wet with no dry signal at all. that way you can get the tone of the room. and from there you can mimic the chain.

      @@remylauren7604 what helped a lot was using IRs captured from real instruments. I’ve found some quality ones for violins and some acceptable for celli, but nothing really for violas and basses. So, swam -> violin IR -> early reflections -> late reflections. This for solo instruments. I never got the sections since I was never really happy with the solos and they are quite expensive. For solos this works quite well, but still I find it’s easier and faster to get realistic results from a good sample based library. I wish they included some good IRs with their instruments, it really makes a difference and if someone doesn’t like it, they don’t have to use it, but it’s not easy to find them.

    UVI workstation is a LOT more resource friendly than kontakt. Pretty much every other platform is.

    So, which one was the modeled one, A or B?

  • @cachelesssociety5187
    @cachelesssociety5187 Před 7 měsíci

    Not perfect sounding - in comparison to real instruments I found them a bit brighter and more lively. Also, I wonder how it compares to Infinite Woodwinds.

    • @MFJMD564
      @MFJMD564 Před 7 měsíci

      if you find them a little too bright, just slighly EQ them, done.

    • @cachelesssociety5187
      @cachelesssociety5187 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@MFJMD564 Other way around actually, the harmonics don't sound as though they're quite as lively & varying in the Vwinds - Not that they don't sound very good as a new attempt at these technologies, but maybe it's CZcams compressing or altering the sound.

    • @MFJMD564
      @MFJMD564 Před 7 měsíci

      @@cachelesssociety5187 That must have been one of the challenges of modelled instruments, and why AS partially used samples in their products. Yes CZcams may well compress the audio. You can visit AS website, they have audio clips where they compare the real instrument and their product out of the box (bone dry). You can judge there if the harmonics are better. Honestly, my ear isn't sharp enough to hear very detailed frequencies, and aging won't help! 😄

      Sounds very good to me. I am also impressed with the other VWinds and VHorns libraries - enough for me to buy them all, though they are a bit pricey, and I already have too many orchestral libraries.

    • @elbuhdai605
      @elbuhdai605 Před měsícem +1

      I recently bought all of these libraries to replace Infinite Woodwinds. VWinds requires a bit of tweaking out of the box to get the same liveliness, but once you finish with your settings it sounds more natural than Infinite Woodwinds.
