- Hello and welcome to scale stuff, In this weeks video I am going to be building and reviewing the Italeri 1:24 scale Ford transit MK II white van.

In this video I show you how I go about building this model kit of the classic ford Transit van, and talk about how the kit goes together along with pointing out a few bits that I had problems with to watch out for if you are building this scale model at home.
I really enjoyed building this van up like a filthy old builders van covered in scratches and wear and tear. This kit is a very simple build but offers a lot of scope for customisation

That was a great build it really brought out the character of the MkII transit van, these Mk II were alwzys better to drive than the Mk I, a company I worked for bavk in New Zealand had a Mk II, one day the driver spilt a milkshake in the cab, and you could still smell it twelve months later, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video, bloody hell, bet that van was popular after that, 12 months tho.... thing is thats the nature of these vans been used for work they tend to end up been treated a bit savage. Did you know that the ford transit, was THE most used getaway car in the Uk for many years? As empty it was really light with a big engine, the only thing that could catch one, was another ford transit, so we got loads of ford transit police paddy wagons

Only thing missing is the rust on the bottom of the doors and the side panels😂😂🤣😂
True that, tbh I really need to work on rusting effects, especially if I plan on doing more older cars 😂

Still have some of this kit. It was built during a boring rainy holiday in Morecambe roughly in 84. Have the shell and floorpan but all the bits like wheels and windows have gone think I'll drop whats left of it on a 1,24 RC car chassis!
Ah tbh that would be great if you could get it running, wouldnt need the windows if it was going to be RC as they would only get broken

Hahaha ahh you know I wish I had thought of that at the time, my personal favourite rear of van dirt writing is " I wish my wife was as dirty as this van"
It would be good to scratch build a rear view mirror, just to hang some fluffy dice off of. I'm sure I saw this van, in an episode of Aufweidsein Pet.

Hahaha ah them seats where dodgey! hahaha yeah Im good mate just getting on with work really, seasons only really just started thanks to the weather but its kicked off in a big way this year, need to come up with the crawlers with you guys again, you lot still out mid week as well as the weekends?
@@scalestuff1066 I bet and all the rain and now sun everything has grown well. Yea Wednesdays and weekends, think haberly Sunday? Also if you want to do a detailed car the the tamiya Toyota supra is a great little build, full engine with opening bonnet and interior 👍🏻interior
I might be able to do a Wednesday, weekends are a bit busy until the seasons over with. Nice Ill have a look at it, was looking at the old type Hilux raised wheel beds but people on ebay wanting silly money for them

Thats fair, I was going more off the vans I had at work, older vans where abit more no frills than the new ones
