My influencer account was closed today, not affiliate. I re-applied for the influencer program today and got in- saw all my old videos and stats but am confused- the commissions history is shown as zero. what does it mean? I was banned for having the amazon logo in the cover image of a YT video so I took the cover images down and the videos themselves- not worth it to me.

@@stephaniemthoma did we recently talk about this in a Facebook group? Someone posted that they lost their account, and that Amazon vaguely mentioned it was because of something with using their marks.
1: You have been approved to get back in the program, but I’m assuming you’ve still gotta get re-approved for the onsite placement. If so, those videos aren’t being shown, so may just need to remove them and repost once you get onsite approval.
2: As I understand it, you are completely allowed to use the Amazon logo in thumbnails because it falls within fair use laws. However, they don’t want you using it for anything that may make it seem like Amazon posted it, or that it’s being endorsed by Amazon, which is why you can’t use it on ads, or even use particular Amazon phrases, buttons, etc on posts/ads.

What do you do if your 3 videos get rejected? Do you need to open a brand new amazon account and connect a new social media page?

You get 3 chances to submit your videos for approval. They should all be submitted at the same time.

Correct. Used all 3 tries and denied everytime. Read the guidelines and best practices closely and compared my videos to lots of other peoples and they weren’t different. Thinking they didn’t like my social media account or some other factor..

@@musicdoc2011 Ahh gotcha. Yea, you won’t be able to get onsite commissions with that account. Would have to start over.
I’ve seen in some groups that people say that socials could affect onsite approval, but I don’t really think that has anything to do with it. I say that because approval to get into the program at all is based on socials, so I don’t think they’d let you in because of socials, but then reject you for onsite because of socials. Unfortunately Amazon isn’t clear about any of their rules though😬

Yeah. There AI is always scanning things and your video can get rejected at any time. I just reposted it and it went through fine.

Thank you for this! Quick question, do you have any videos about partnerships and how to get those? Thank you again for the info!

If you’re making quality videos, brands will start reaching out to you about partnerships. You can also look at products you like on Amazon, find that brands contact info, and reach out to them about partnering. You’re welcome!
