Nice find!
Our Miele W436 is 32 years old, still brilliant, ZERO service calls. Yea, it was expensive to buy, we know "Quality is remembered, long after price is forgotten".
Our Miele dishwasher is 35 years old, still perfect, oven is perfect, hotplates perfect, vacuum cleaners, all good.
Miele is always "money well spent".
Great video, thank you!
Very nice!
It is probably because you treat them well!
What a good street find, worth keeping as this moeles are reliable
Mieles
You should try service mode/ configuration mode.
If you hold start and press power and then press thr start 3 times itll go into service mode which will show its hours used and does basic tests. Config mode lets you configure loads like spin speed, water level usage, what waterplus does. Dandy things. Miss my miele
(Config mode is hold start, power on and press 5 times
I wish they had made these models for the USA
Great find. Clean it up and it would be a great washer (not sure why people throw out good machines just because some little thing go wrong with it or just change of fashion because it is old, still maybe another 10 years life in this yet - would of been expensive new).
Owen, careful now, don't let those Bosch machines see it, cheers
This Miele is the best that you have managed to find since I love Mieles! I hope you keep this one
I have a Miele novotronic w526
Can't wrap my head around what people throw out just because they're to lazy to do even the slightest "maintenance".
This washer is actually a great find, hope it keeps working flawlessly. 👍
About 10 washes so far, no issues found!
What a nice find! Love the stainless steel design. It might be 16years old, but can totally compete with new ones in terms of energy/water efficiency. PC is the location to connect the service PC (or whatever Miele technicians use for diagnosing errors or software updates).
Yes indeed, it is really nice, done about 10 washes so far! No problem, just the grotty door seal and needs a general clean!
@@bootsowen Excellent, and the owners threw it out, must have too much money to spare🤣
Best german Quality!
Great find
Brilliant machine, looks great in that colour too
I like it, I think it will go in laundry land!
@@bootsowen I'd replace the samsung addwash with it, it's a much more solid and better machine and would go well with that wfp3300
i love this miele its amazing very nice find
Nice washing machine. I had collected 2 washing machines that had no apparent fault: One was an It Wash, which I found out had become so rusty, that the body caved in, making it shake, and the other one was a Telefunken (Vestel), which seemed quite new, and worked well. After just 1 week at my house, the programme seemed to glitch and there was no way to reset it or anything, it just froze on one programme.
Thanks for sharing!
Nice find!
Yes it was!
Absolutely gorgeous looking machine. Miele should have kept with the stainless steel design.
I agree! it looks cool!
Kinda wish my Miele was like that. But at least it has a stainless steel door
Stainless is always more stylish. There has been a stainless look version of your Bosch-Siemens washers down there in your laundry room, it is the 'Siemens WM 6147 E' washer.
PC is for miele authorized tech to plug their laptop in order ro diagnose
pc means (laptop access) using a fibre optic cable , a miele engineer can conect to the machines computer with a laptop and alter and update the machines programming ,that led light your looking at marked pc allows access to the machines computer but only miele can do it they have the software
Does the machine have a socket for fibre or is it just based on led impulses?
@@bootsowen a plunger goes over that light your looking at on the panel they access the computer that way ,it’s quite cleaver , I had the w5872 ,had same access
Beast of a machine! As some people already said, you should configure it to 1600 rpm, basically free performance :)
I would be careful doing that, dunno if it's a coincidence but 2 people with this model or the 5740 who did that have had the motor or pcb fail not long after
a few days ago my grandmother's Bosch WFD 1260 broke after 21 years, the heating element was earthed....
Glad its found a new home. Also a bonus to get a crotch shot 😂
That’s a really expensive machine, I’m jealous I want a Miele soooo bad lol
I wonder what it cost back in the day!
@@bootsowen It was priced at £1,650 back in the days when it was sold
Is washing machine miele silent...
That's a nice machine! And the motor must be three phase because it's really quiet.
I'll have to take a look at that.
MRT40 brushed motor, it's quiet because Miele is using a different way of powering the motor making it quieter.
Hi
Do u know how to get a Miele W526 out of demo mode?
Thanks
Could u film some cycles on it
The PC LED is a useless gimmick that Miele marketed back in the day, it allowed a Miele tech to do diagnostics with a special cable and upgrade the firmware on the board.
I wonder how impossible it would be to get one of those laptops!
@@bootsowen Unless you're a Miele tech, forget about it lol, I heard a rumor that cable alone is €10,000.
I wouldn't recommend doing that on this model, a few people have done that and the motor or pcb have blew not long after doing it
All German appliances I had last 10 years failed miserably
10:18 : I think PC means that the machine is connected to a computer, I am not sure tho
Anyways, what a lovely find! Are you going to sell it?
A Miele is expensive! Even when it is 16 years old, but it is still working, why would you put it on the street? You have to much money when you do that.
I'd say so, sweet bearings, nothing wrong with it, a new door seal would freshen it up!
My Miele is around 17-18 years old. Still works great
There is a way to make that 1600/1700
How?
@@bootsowen Programming menu, turn off machine, hold Start, turn on machine, wait until Start starts flashing, then press it 5 times in quick sucession.
Worked for me on my W1812 I found last March.
@@bootsowen basically what you do press and hold start turn it on while holding the start button it should flash then press the start button 5 times that will take you into configuration mode turn dial until you see spin speeds then upgrade it to 1600/1700
There should be a video on yt how to exactly do it if you search up Miele washer configuration mode
