Me and my brother were home alone and my mom said she wasint gonna bring us food cause we didn’t clean the house but when she came home she was mad jealous😭😂 and im only 13 and it was easy for me yet delicious. Thnxs for the recipe😆
@@obliteratordeathcon4456 if you put a lot of anything in something, the flavour of it, increases. I'm just trying to say that paprika is one of the most mild spices, and certainly - in my experience anyway - wouldn't be one that people consider spicy, in that it doesn't have any heat, nor does it have an abundance of flavour. But I suppose it comes down to individual taste buds as well. And yes, paprika is one of those spices that works very well in huge quantities. I too put it in my fish mixture
Unboxin!!! U r right !! Philly Boy Jay! Is a beast in that kitchen I love him I told him that several times before he's got that NewOrleans effervescence
Man!!! When you put that hot sauce that did it for me! Going to buy fish right now! I truly admire the extra attention you put to making your food look good. Loved the plate spin!. Also liked the lasagna and Shepard's pie videos. Keep cooking Philly Boy Jay!
I truly love this man, thanks to him I am a cook honey, I tell you the best. You are very gifted in your talent, you definitely paid attention in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us, you are very well appreciated
Recipe looks great. Thanks for sharing the tip about not needing any egg wash if the fish is damp. I'm definitely going to use this recipe on my next fish fry.
He does! but dude isn't using Old Bay seasoning. It would replace the paprika and salt. At least that's how some do it in Calvert County. I'm offended that this recipe is amazing without Old Bay. 😂
Thank you! So easy to make. I love when he said everybody always asking him why he doesn’t use egg wash.. you seem so frustrated when u said that 😂 as you should! Because people are free to use different methods in their cooking. So I hear you Chef!
LOVED and appreciated your comment about the egg wash. I always thought that was a wasted step ! I will pull my fish out of the freezer and put them in salted water as you suggested. I’m also going to make a blooming onion to go with it and veggies. I have a deep fat fryer so I’m going to use that. Thanks SO much ! I subscribed to your channel based on this video alone ! Thanks again !
I have my seasoned fish sit in a beer and egg mixture overnight before the frying process. This helps to make the crunch, crunchier and it just makes them taste better.
This guy taught me how to make the best oxtail and whrn i make it i dont get to have anymore than a couple pieces cause everyone loves it so much i just let them enjoy it. This fish is excellent too.
I went on a fishing trip on Saturday with my brother and two of our friends on Saturday!! Awesome trip!!! In total, we caught 120 white bass, and we were able to keep 54 of them!!! Seeing them get cleaned was so satisfying!!!! I can already smell my fish cooking!!!!
This is my go to fried fish in American way but I still do the egg wash! Lol & the brother is from Philly! That's a plus for me!! Thank you so much PhillyBoyJay! Greatly appreciate you 🥰
I use the same ingredients, but I crack a few eggs to dip the fish in first. I will try it this way next time, never fried fish with out dipping it in eggs first. They look really good.
PBJay: THANK YOU SO MUCH for the beautiful fried fish WITHOUT THE EGG BATTER! Your method with just the seasoned flour left my fish fillets with the perfect crunch. NICE JOB! This is how I'm gonna do it from now on! PBJ - You da man!! ~♡~
I put anything i flour to fry in the fridge for 15 to 20 min or 5 to 10 min in the freezer. I find that the breading sticks better before you fry things.
I am diabetic but...... after watching the way u just cooked (fried) this fish, I will make it a habit to make this at least 2x a year for myself only. Havent eaten fried fish since I was married in the 80's. Great video PhillyBoyJayCookingShow
Wow!! You can tell it's crispy and tender, and very much appreciate you sharing this with us. Especially how gentle and respectful towards the food and us lot listening intently to every word. Yummy!
Man that is some yummy looking fish! Evenly golden brown and not overcooked. You took your time and let the heat do the work. I like that you didn't turn it but one time. To me, that is the mark of a good cook. Thanks for the video sir.
I've never head of creating an egg wash to fry fish....whether the fish is wet or not. I heard it for chicken to create extra batter/crispiness. You learn something new everyday.
I have to thank you so much because you are the one that thought me about cleaning my chicken meat properly and now I do that with all of my meat.I fellow you because you are the MAN. Thank you.
Great vid, brah! I pretty much do the exact same thing with just one slight difference with the foil...I crinkle it up so it creates a "rack" type effect and allows the pieces to continue to drain and not steam each other up... well it works for me anyways. But great video, great method! I just ate before I watched it and I got hungry all over again!!
I want a fish spatula. I'm glad I'm not the only one who runs out of paper towels at the most opportune time or they're down the hall in the linen closet
Great video fun to watch too , I used your tips to fry some fresh haddock fillets the only problem I had is when I went to turn it over in the sizzling pan i used cooking tongs, just one of them and the fish all pretty much fell apart , lol, it was still good tho, Thank You, Sir !
I haven't always been the best cook but I can throw down on a few dishes. After watching your videos I have stepped my game up in the kitchen. Your videos are helping me surprise my family with different tasty meals during this quarantine. Thank you, Thank you. Thank you!! ❤❤❤❤
I never tried pollock filets before. I like frying flounder filets. Then making a fish sandwich with a garlic spread toasted bun in the toaster oven. And some provolone cheese slices. I use McCormicks fish fry breading. If I have lettuce I put that on the sandwich too.
Looks amazing! Can't wait to try it❤ What kind of fish was it & how long on each side, as well as the amount of your spices/flour and corn meal would be nice, too!
I love how you make everything so simple and not overly complicated.
Joy Hill luvu
Lovely Joy mannnn Lol. These other videos you be needing all these different utensils that’s unnecessary lol.
I wish woman were the same lmao
"I don't even have any paper towels." This guy is so real and down to earth. To this day, he's still my go-to.
Me and my brother were home alone and my mom said she wasint gonna bring us food cause we didn’t clean the house but when she came home she was mad jealous😭😂 and im only 13 and it was easy for me yet delicious. Thnxs for the recipe😆
Greencream _yt Lol...unprovoked war
Awwwww good boy! Wish my son would cook lol
i would add paprika to the flour for spiciness
@@obliteratordeathcon4456 I don't find that paprika has much of a spicy flavour

I can’t get enough of this guy! I’ve Been watching his videos for years. He taught me a lot
Add a 1/3 tsp of baking powder to the dry mix and really amp up the crispiness.
I'll try that!
Is that per cup of flour mix?
What's the ratio?
It's bursting
Alberto Torres 😂 Fr though
ADDING CORNSTARCH ALSO MAKES A CRISPY CRUST.
YASSSSSS!!! All I need is two pcs of fish, a jalapeño pepper, one slice of wheat bread, and a ginger ale.....looks delish!!!
I used this method and my husband LOVED it. I used smoked paprika. I also sprinkled a little seasoning salt on it after it came out of the oil.
I LOVE THIS YOUNG MAN, HE IS REALLY GIFTED. I MUST TRY THIS FISH.

Hey Jay, the old folks used to drain their fried food on a piece of paper bag. It actually works.
Thanks for the tip 😊
Also slices of bread 😊
