  • In this video the Swellpro Splash drone 4 is preforming the boatmode function and powerflip feature. The Splash drone 4 has a higher IP rating (IP67) & has a higher wind resistance level(20m/s) then the DJI Matrice 300 (IP45 & 15m/s) and the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced(no IP rating & 10m/s), What do you think of the Splash drone 4? Would have liked to see some actual drone footage. The flip over feature it cool. Still trying to justify $3,000 + US

Aren't you supposed to use the pontoons on the drone for boat mode?

Thanks for commenting. Well yes and no.

the boat mode also requires some floaties for the landing gear, be careful without them

@@sliggy6834 The manual says the floats are required - it hasn't hurt your drone at all doing boat mode without them?

@@lhs2miler no it's has not. Just make sure all the rubber o-rings on the access ports on the bottom are lubricated with silicone grease. I have another video on it. Also if your in salt water rinse off with fresh water post flight.

While in water Does it flip on its own or do you press something to active the flip?

    • @sliggy6834

You have to press the joysticks to make it flip

Also not completely waterproof due the biometric membrane being only water resistant. It will destroy the circuits (especially salt water) if spending to much in water, especially on its back. It's been proven.

paint it black, so you don't see it
