We continued our friendship and there have been multiple times when, due to injuries from an accident many years ago, his legs would go numb and I was there to help. Personally, I never quite saw me helping out as such a big deal. I alway did it thinking that anyone able to should help. Apparently, this was a huge deal to him and he thinks of me as one of his closest friends. Finding out about this made me feel very emotional

After playing League of Legends for 9 and 5 years respectively, we both stopped. I did a while ago and he just recently.
We recently started playing coop on random steam games. Idk how we started the conversation but we suddenly realised that we actually had fun and werent stressed out while playing games.
He’s 9 and he’s gotten so tall. I always thought it was a little annoying when adults said that to me but now I’m exclaiming over his height.
We have so much fun together. Lots of laughing, silliness, imagination games, playing outside, maybe eating a few illicit snacks here and there (can neither confirm nor deny).
Before my husband and I arrived, he asked his dad to ask me what my favorite color is. When we got here, he presented me with a purple rubber band bracelet, which I’m proudly wearing. He knows I don’t drink alcohol, so he got his mom to buy me a case of the brand of sparkling water I usually buy. He remembered it from when they visited me in Colorado 3 years ago. That really meant a lot to me.

I grew up a type A, overachieving kid who picked up most things I tried pretty easily. I also unfortunately live for praise and only got it from my parents when I was succeeding at something at a high level. Fast forward to adulthood and this has all turned into the unfortunate habit of giving up immediately on things that I'm not good at right off the bat, which has kept me from advancing in my career, taking up new hobbies, and expanding my comfort zone in general.
I recently got into linocut printmaking because I had done it in elementary school and remembered liking it a lot. I bought some cheap supplies online and started going at it at the beginning of the year. Here's the thing, I am terrible at it. I found a subreddit for printmaking and saw post after post of these incredibly well done, intricate pieces and became discouraged because my first few prints were very basic and messy
have a music festival coming up and one of my friends dropped out (not their fault). I've never been to a musical event on my own before, let alone for a whole weekend, and am feeling pretty nervous. I have a lot of social anxiety when I'm on my own, especially in crowds. and me and Leonardo Dicaprio don't want to throw away the experience though and I want to take advantage of the situation. Any advice on how to best enjoy myself on my own
To wear headphones is protective, to have a dog along also, to imagine people will be smiling and that they like you even though they don't know you or even see you, that your presence is ok there and that God loves you and will be with you in a way, form or another. Do a little singing maybe before you go, to get your throat open and clear and warm your spirit and have a tune in your head that cheers you up, to silently chant when you feel insecure. In the cab the other day there was Light It Up that put me in an active lifewilling state :) good luck !!! ight now I'm watching a stand up on my laptop and, randomly' I just took a glance at my camera. There was asmall red point there which usually appears when I use it for videocalls, etc. I found it sketchy, closed all my other tabs and apps I don't use right now. Still there. I went to take a sticker, when i returned it was gone.
t’s nothing major, and there have definitely been more objectively exciting days, but I am so happy to get to spend time with him and his partner tomorrow. They have a wonderfully cozy apartment, and after witnessing him suffer at the hands of some (now ex-communicated) family members, it’s beautiful seeing him so happy! Does anyone else have stories about mundane activities that they hold close?
For me, I think I'd like to see Reese's and the Hershey's flavor whipped cream. They appeared in around 2018, and I got one but kinda forgot about it before it had long gone bad, so never actually got to try it. Would probably be great for peanut butter hot chocolate.

have a dog that I've never trained to do anything, she's just a dog I love and cuddle sometimes, I try taking very good care of her. She's not trained for these situations at all, I got her from the street years ago. I suffer from anxiety and depression and today this happened and it had never happened before. I was panicking very hard and I was alone, and my dog ran away and brought back the pills I take for chronic back pain. Obviously these pills will not do anything against a panic attack, nor any pills I have, but just the dog doing this made me cry, it got me so emotional and it made me feel looked after and special, I just held her until it was over, and I'm now just wondering why she did it.
It helps if you change the location. For me it did when i had this a couple times, but somehow i almost always forgot about doing that, while feeling bad. That it can be easier, that there is a solution. For a friend, he said watching a movie helped, cause suddenly he was not thinking about himself anymore. And on fb someone said she paints and it relaxes her when panic comes.

don’t know if they’re even being genuine. I used to say very supportive things to everyone I knew while thinking the exact opposite, so I project my old behaviour onto people who are nice to me for no reason. But when people I relate to and can understand more are nice to me, I rarely doubt their intentions because I can imagine myself doing the same to me in their position.

I can’t stand it when I’m playing a game and the controller vibrates. Sure I can disable it, but there’s really no need for such a mechanic. Keep in mind, I’m more a niche gamer so I don’t play any big titles (outside of Pokémon, Zelda, Sonic, Mario, etc) & im primarily a retro gamer.
I showered at almost 8 pm, it's now quarter to 10 and am stinking to high heaven already and i just sat down to use my computer...I put off wearing deodorant at night so as not to use it up and cuz i'm not going anywhere but am now smelling a lot and i'll wake up pooped tomorrow...
