    High elo champions have one specific condition that isn't met in lower tiers: your teams awareness to play to the win con of the high elo champ...for example, when you have Nidalee on your team, it's to be expected that you can play lanes hyper aggressive so that she can bully the enemy jng

      my guess is low elo players are bad at stabilizing lost earlygame.
      i play syndra mid in gold and my losses are usually caused by a sidelane losing so hard that the game ends before i can scale.
      at least as syndra i have pick potential to try to claw back into the midgame, but kass needs his team to stop the bleeding and lose gracefully while he scales. if they don't the enemy team wins the game before he can impact it.

      It's not a black/white categorization. If you know how to play out kassadin's bad matchups then he's super op in low elo for the reason you gave. The problem is that it requires a lot of game knowledge and restraint. Also, lower elo players are more likely to one-trick or just pick themselves into bad matchups whereas in high elo you're basically never going to see someone blind pick Kassadin.

      @crazygamer1030 Před 8 měsíci +9

      Well, I believe even if its 30mins and and kass 3 items it wont matter to the 5-6 items talon. They will win the lane. Also low elo people cant farm well in negative matchups or most matchups. The amount of times i see kass players stay near middle of the wave against lvl 2 talon, or qiyannah. Yes they are hard to play but you cant really stand against yas yone or anything of skirmishers in lvl 1-10.(I believe kass is even a threat after lvl 11). High elo kass can sacrifce the gold for the xp and just then try to catchup due to his monsterous scaling.

    There are two main factors for why champs fail in low ELO but succeed in high elo:
    The first is margin for error: How badly are you punished for making mistakes / how easy is it to make a mistake with the character. If your champion's primary form of DPS is autoattacking/point and click abilities and they're also naturally durable, that's probably a very forgiving champion compared to one that relies on skillshots, cooldowns or active defenses.
    The second is reliance on specific/niche tech: Does the player know how to take advantage of bushes mid-fight as Rengar, or to use low-health enemy minions to extend Irelia's threat range, or have a degree in 4 dimensional geometry to effectively use Vel'Koz. Techs that require significant practice to identify when to use them. Camille and Nocturne can both jump on someone from half a map away, but all Nocturne has to do is click on them.

      @ngngye Před 8 měsíci +13

      High elo has more understanding of mechanics and gamestate
      Harassing in lane -> Gank while ally is harassed -> Countergank by rotating ally support -> Counterjungling the respawning enemy jungler
      Like, a bronze jungler might be fine with double killing the enemy top or mid, an emerald-plat jungler will snowball that double by taking jg camps into forcing a bot gank then drag. The laners in high elo are also more likely to accept putting themselves behind to get the team ahead - I can go 0/4 in lane as ahri if that means my shyv gets the first 2 drags.

    • @m.rak804
      @m.rak804 Před 8 měsíci +3

      Every player is capable of punishing an overextending enemy, but most of them lack the experience and mechanical confidence to do so which is why they tend to wait for their opponents to make mistakes.
      High elo players are not only forcing their opponents into bad positions, but also punishing them to the fullest as they know the capabilities of their champs. Idk what is the majority's take on this, but imo the ability to spot and respond to a mistake is like a built-in sense, hence can be counted as a beginner-level fundamental and should be prioritized if someone really wants to get better at the game.

    • @ngngye
      @ngngye Před 8 měsíci

      @@sekira4516 Okay, I’m assuming you’re playing a solo lane, cuz bot lane goes slightly differently than a solo lane due to how varied comps can be down there.
      Generally speaking, if you’re at a range disadvantage you will want to wait for your jungler to path into your lane - raptors kruggs clear from bot to top if you’re top, kruggs raptors scuttle if you’re mid. There are two ways of playing - you can be proactive, and walk into the river to get vision for your jungler early; or reactive, trying to keep your laner focused on bullying/killing you in lane instead of rotating to a jungler duel.
      It comes down to knowing your opponent’s champion and gameplan. For example, in a quinn vs chogath top matchup, the quinn will want to kill cho ideally as soon as she hits lvl 2 with an e auto q auto (ignite auto) OR (flash auto) combo. Knowing this, as cho your plan will be to let the frontline minions all get 2-3 caster minion shots away from death, then Q them to last hit, and ignore the casters to build the lane into a slowpush towards your tower. If you stand right on top of your melee minions, quinn has to be scared of your Q leading into a gank (and her death, if you have baited her flash beforehand).
      This is all the first 10 minutes. After quinn hits 6, her goal is to snowball the rest of the map by ganking/ambushing because of superior vision control. Cho’s goal is to nom minions with his ult and take platings (if not the first tower gold) to rush RoA or Frostqueen for carry lockdown in mid-lategame.
      This is just one matchup, but the pattern it lays out is pretty clear - level up before your enemy, build a gold advantage from your exp advantage, snowball that into map impact and harass the other opponents (which may or may not become a mental advantage, as the enemy starts flaming each other) and take objectives.

    My problem with high elo champs is just how there is nothing you can really do in low elo to counter them.
    I play casually so I can play unpopular champs which means there is nothing I can do to counter the mastery level 7 irelia.

    • @pwpqwq7648
      @pwpqwq7648 Před 8 měsíci +1

      You can counter them yourself. Irelia for example, forces you to play accordingly IF the Irelia knows how to position the wave. However ,the issue comes with your teammates. Even if you know how to deal with Irelia, there is still a very high chance that your low elo teammates don't. Irelia doesn't scale that well, but someone like Fiora definitely requires your team to know what to do against her once she is done scaling to late game, one wrong step and you lose

    • @MylesTheDoctorMahajan
      @MylesTheDoctorMahajan Před 8 měsíci +8

      It means you do not understand what irelia does, what her win con is, and what she wants to do.
      for this specific case of irelia, her win con in lane is stacking her passive and then fighting you. she has many ways of doing so. she can prepare minions with her w, then use her q to execute minions to stack passive. she can use the dash to hide her e's animation to blindside you with a surprise stun then jump onto you with the resets from q. knowing this, you know what she is looking to do based on your own minion HP. if you see low hp minions, you know not to stand too close to it (thus giving irelia access to you) and you know she wants it allowing you to time your punish against her by being watchful, and prepping an ability to hit her for the minion.
      irelia is heavily reliant on her q resets to thrive as well. if you notice she failed to kill a minion or she ever hops onto you without a stacked passive or q reset, she has a difficult time navigating the fight and you can basically pound her into the ground with most champions.
      keeping your HP high while she is pushing is another way to prevent her from diving you. if wave is coming into you and you lose 40% of your HP, thats on you for misplaying. you gave her that angle to dive you. but if you literally just be patient while she pushes, keep hp high and collect your farm, youll find shes hard pressed to snowball on you, and often times, get bored and do stupid shit BECAUSE you refuse to interact with her.
      low elo players suffer from easily getting bored and randomly doing stupid shit like random roams before they fully crashed a wave or trying to fight you randomly in your wave simply because you dont interact with them. you can easily prey on this mental weakness and destroy them. your laner half assed his push and decided to roam randomly to mid lane at level 4? spam ping the shit out of the river with danger pings and sit back and enjoy that juicy juicy freeze. then when the laner returns, theyll be down XP and most likely a level, and you just wait while they get bored and frustrated by teh freeze, as they will attempt to break it then you proceed to smash them in the face with your lead, recall after killing, and continue to hold that freeze and watch as their mental further collapses. its even more hilarious when you're level 6 and they are level 4/5 because of this, and try to fight you and you just cream on them with your ulti advantage

      @@MylesTheDoctorMahajan The "low elo players get bored" part of your comment is literally the most accurate explanation I have ever seen. It's ridiculous how many people below gold don't understand that rushing things against Irelia (especially if she is good) will only get them killed.
      People don't realise how important it is sometimes to sacrifice a few minions, just to avoid a bad trade against her. Low elo players don't realise this, no matter how many times they play against her, or any other champ that they claim to be op. It's always the same thing, they die, they get mad, and then they blame the game's balance even though they made a huge mistake

    Also high elo champions reward more difficult playstyles that are fundamental to the game but tricky to pull off. Kindred - counter jungling and jungle tracking, Rengar - map presence and kill thresholds, Fiora - positioning and cooldown management, Draven - kiting and "safety". Their kits actively punish you for not doing these things. High elo champions are good in high elo because they are designed around the expectations that you have the skills to perform more complicated gameplay.

    Honestly, never underestimate the value of patience and practice. Some champions just need a lot of both. There's a lot of high elo champs that their winrate severely correlates with number of games played, and those high elo players have that practice, patience, and experience lower elo players often lack. It's part of why a lot of those high elo champs are frequently played by one-tricks: people who dedicate a ton of time to truly maximizing that potential on a pick that many others just don't find worth the time or get frustrated they can't make em do the things they want.
    Which...ironically and somewhat paradoxically I believe stagnates the pro player scene a bit, because a champ has to be either simple at executing a plan, highly consistent, or overpowered to wind up seen there. It's part of why Renekton, a good champ at pretty much every rating, refuses to leave from pro; he's really easy for anyone to pick back up (given the frequent need in pro to shift around your picks every few patches and when you get targeted more with bans) after practicing someone else for awhile and he has enough agency in his kit to always be able to do something. Compare that to Riven who is a high elo champ that is one of the most beloved 1-trick champs but isn't often seen in pro anymore because the amount of games you gotta play on her to get back up to speed on her is a lot and she can easily bottom out (and pro is hostile to one tricks).

      I suppose you might have played that wrong cuz no way… you must have healing reduction, your E could use to dodge Gwen’s Q or R, and you should easily win with 2 items advantage. Anyways, my suggestion would be trying to out-macro her. Your ult makes rotation very easily in late game, so you can split 1-4 and have 4 other teammates create pressure on the other side of the map (which is hard if you soloQ and team has no coordination). Or the moment you catch Gwen on the other lane, play aggressively with your ult to force fights, and then either clean that up before she got there, or fall back then split 1-4 (since now you have teleport, she lost teleport to rotate).

      biggest part of gwen is her ult, you need to try to doge her 3 activation with your e. He’s got the ranged autos that allow you to kite enemies and melee autos that refund mana and he can empower both of them. He’s got utility with his E, high dmg and wave clear with both Qs, his hammer E has knockback and can execute, he has a good leap that allows gives him amazing engage and combos. He’s just too good.

      Honestly Jayce after smurfing low elo with jayce. I came to the realization, Jayce is a hard core low elo stomper, if you get the luxury of playing against his winning match ups. (and tbh he as a lot) you can easily get a couple solo kills in lane, and if you go assassin jayce, you just snowball the rest of the game One shotting people with Empowered Q. Sieges become easier for you provide amazing poke, ADCs and mages are no longer threats for you chunk them to hard. The only thing you really have to fear is a random Malphite ultimate or something simmiliar since you are naturally squishy, but just playing around your vision solves that problem instantly.
      I'd say the main reason Jayce is "high elo" is largely because the average silver lacks the hands to play him.
      Funny enough everything I just mentioned is also normally things we see happen with Jayce in the LCS when he's pro play viable lol.
      It's kinda the reason he's perma nerfd, for he just provides way to much for his team when ahead. Even tanks find him annoying, for he can just build anti Tank items instead, still hurt squishies, and now does fair damage to tanks.
      So not only is he versatile in what he provides, but he also offers a couple of build variations to solve problems he encounters, without overly sacrificing his damage, which is nuts lol.

    haven't watched the video yet, but I wanna propose Irelia. She's weird because she's strong in both Low and High Elo, but she's apparently quite questionable in mid elo. To my understanding, this is because her primary weakness as a champion is that wave control and contesting CS is harder for her than other kits, but she does have the tools to get around this with skilled play. This weakness does not matter in low elo because wave control is a rare skill at the best of times. While it's a bit of a nonissue in high elo because of the "can get around these issues with skilled play" thing and the fact that the champion can just get up to so many shenanigans. I think her strength in low elo also comes from the fact that she's a champion that can kinda just walk up to you and beat you to death with a stick, which means she's basically unstoppable low elo, where kiting is a myth spoken by many but practiced by few.

      For example Irelia isn’t hard to play when your opponents let you do exactly as you want like letting you get all the minions low and then walking into your face. However it’s also possible to counter Irelia by playing smart and to get around counters as Irelia takes skill and experience.
      With Riven, for her to even be a champ you need to be able to weave in your autos well to actually do damage.
      Champs like Irelia are easy but punishable however they still have the tools to get around the counters. Riven isn’t weak because of how you counter her, she’s weak because of the own players capabilities.

    Do you think you might be able to make a video on towers and their current state in the game?
    If feel like effectively noone is talking about the absolute decline of towers and their position of an actual threat.
    Towers today are just a way to get unholy amounts of gold, never got adjusted to new durability updates, lvl 3 dives are more common than not by now because even a lvl 3 Akali with no items can tank 2 to 3 tower shots, to this day there is no solution to dashes under tower while every champ and their mother got them by now an I just feel like they are generally...terrible?
    Splitpushers as a champion direction is only dependant on wave clear as towers drop like wet paper once anyone gets close, even bruisers can dive 25% tower minionless to destroy them because the damage reduction has problems with sheen and I don't even want to start talking about the situation with spawner champs like Malzahar and Zyra that are allowed to push a tower with two minions waves yet 0 wava management simply because voidlings/plants can occupie a tower long enough to just stand under tower and wait for more minions.
    I feel like the state of towers is a heavily underexplored thematic in respect to the state of the game.
    In my opinion, towers should have way more interaction with the general game.
    More ramp damage, a different way to interact with tanks to not have them destroy a towers use by just standing there forever(quite literally some tanks can do that by now).
    Less damage from single target damage, more items that are DESTINED for split pushers instead of characters just being perfect split pushers by default(Fiora, Camille).
    Also generally- I just find the evolution of towers and the items for/against towers like Zizzirod, Ohmwrecker, Hullbreaker and the likes super interesting.
    Would make for a fun video I think and give a very interesting inight into how completely static objectives can influence the game.

      No we really don't need tower to be stronger against dive or weakening splitpush again
