  • This video briefly covers how to connect Spreadsheet Sync with a QBOA firm as well a some of the drawbacks of the sync tool as it is currently configured. I hope that you will join me in submitting feedback to Intuit encouraging them to open up the capability of accountant users to use this tool with ALL company files within their firm - regardless of subscription level!

Does it only work with Excel - MS365?

I really don’t know the answer to this question, sorry. I believe that it may now work with Google Sheets now, but I’m not 100% certain if that’s true or not.

I tried this out a couple months ago when I noticed it just popped up and thought it could be pretty cool. It was a bit buggier than I would have liked, but I could see the potential. Especially with LiveFlow being out and being so cool, I thought this could be an interesting addition to QBO and change the game.
I then learned it was for Advanced users only AND it was somehow buggier than ever when I tried it again recently. I was more than a little disappointed. Hopefully, they figure out a good system because it would be quite amazing!

This is great feedback, Mark! Hopefully you will share these same exact recommendations with Intuit, as they need to know. Thanks for sharing!

I have QBO Advanced but am not able to connect in excel. I get the message "add-in error. this add-in is no longer supported on this application." Then I found my way into MS Office Add-ins and it doesn't show as an option. Any ideas?

Hi Kari. My guess is that this feature is no longer available. If that's the case, then this is the first I've heard about it. Not unlike Intuit to introduce something and discontinue it, so not surprising.

@@KathyGrosskurth do you think I need to have MS Office 365?

Is it available in Canada, Québec?

I really don’t know, sorry. You’ll have to check with your customer support in Canada to find out if it’s an option or if it will be rolled out there.
