I was at this show to check out the new drummer Gary McCracken who had recentlyreplaced my drum hero Paul Kersey. I went in skeptical that it would work and to my surprise Gary was a Webster 100% and also an awesome drummer. Johnny LovesIn played stratocaster solo and put on a great opener. No band just him shredding when that wasn't a term yet lol. Excellent night. Thanks for the memories.
Great sync work - and wow, what a treat to see! The footage looks AMAZING, and it is great to see an unreleased song being performed. Even better, seeing the fun on stage between Kim & Tilka is pretty fantastic! Thanks so much!
Jim filmed Max five times - more than 45 minutes of footage in total. But he brought just two reels to this show - one for the opening act Johnnie Lovesin and one for Max. I'll post the rest soon enough. The other film from 1977 is eight reels pasted together - about 25 minutes of footage. It's pretty unreal.
