- "Please Don't Go" is my 5th single. I wrote the lyrics on my notes and had a melody; then I worked on the arrangements in my Songwriting & Music production class at Let It Beat Music Academy with Grammy award winner Gene Paul Gayol. I learned so much from him and I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity of learning from him.
For the music production, I worked with Guillermo Vadalá, who is an inspiration as a bass player and musician. I couldn't be happier with the results of the song: it sounds exactly as I dreamed. Guille is also a Grammy Award winner and the sweetest human being.
To give it fully life, we created this music video. My mom and tow of her childhood friends (Murmu y Rapa) grabbed a camera and followed me running all over Wynwood, Florida. We were inspired by films we loved like "Run Lola Run" and "Licorice Pizza" and obviously, all the retro vibe. We were lucky to find these amazing locations like Gramps & Mr. Kream Ice Cream in Wynwood and Cinema Paradiso, Old Ghosts of Hollywood and Vinyl Asylum Records and Memorabilia in Hollywood, FL.
The song is about having feelings for someone but not knowing where this emotion will take you: kind of the surprises you go through when you first explore relationships.
