- I walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan from the entrance at Cadman Plaza East at night. There was also some litter on the bridge I had to take care of!

"The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest roadway bridges in the United States. Started in 1869 and completed fourteen years later in 1883, it connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, spanning the East River. It has a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m) and was the first steel-wire suspension bridge constructed. It was originally called the New York and Brooklyn Bridge and the East River Bridge, but it was later dubbed the Brooklyn Bridge, a name coming from an earlier January 25, 1867, letter to the editor of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle and formally so named by the city government in 1915. Since opening, it has become an icon of New York City and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964 and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1972."

What I like about the Brooklyn Bridge is the walkway is in the middle, so if you were afraid of heights that wouldn't be so bad to cross.

This is my most favourite walk in the world. Brooklyn bridge to Manhattan at night. I have a playlist I usually listen to whilst doing it. So I watched this with my earbuds in just loud enough so I could still hear the traffic and I imagined it was me doing this walk. I was so waiting to see this video after the subway and it was worth the wait.💯AK. 🌉 The bridge has a different vibe to it at nights 🌙 so peaceful despite the traffic. Great spotting the drink bottles, they are like a missile if the fall on cars 🚗. Fantastic walk across the bridge Ak, I wonder if we all had to pay a small deposit on our disposable single use waste would there be less trash 🗑️ left littering the pavements.
We already have a deposit of 0,25€ on every single use plastic bottle over here in Germany but it didn't make the impact the government hoped for ... Would still make an big impact on the us since we aren't that into single use plastic to begin with
@@KonekoChan84 Hi there, I'm in London, we don't seem to have the same amount of littering here, we have no deposit scheme at all on single use packaging which is a great shame, if were ever going to tackle this problem I think that we need a higher deposits, makes these waste materials worth something might encourage people to recycle more or less packaging, who knows worth a try.

Dang. Just missed you. I walked from Dumbo to/over BB to Manhattan also. Those people at beginning part of bridge are the same ones I passed when I got closer to Manhattan side. I was watching sunset from the water area in Dumbo before heading back. Spectacular. And awesome vid.

A bottle of water at that Halal there in Brooklyn just before the bridge costs $5 :). On the other side of the bridge in Manhattan, just after you get off it, there is exactly the same Halal card and the bottle of the same water is $2 LoL.
