Bought my 2007 jgc laredo limited 3.7 V6 4wd brand new back in 2008. Just surpassed 234K miles all stock. She still runs amazing no funny sounds no rattling no smoking no leaking no vibrating no nothing, when she’s idling you don’t even hear or feel that she’s on. Prior to covid I was gonna trade her in for a 2019 jgc laredo limited but i backed out last minute because I just didn’t want to commit to a 4 yr plan of payments. So here we are 2023 and she still here never left me stranded anywhere ever. Of course I was always on top of the maintenances. I’ve bought and replaced maybe 4 water pumps since then and new radiator few batteries and couple of new alternators Oreiley always got whatever I needed lol but she’ll be here w me till the wheels falls off. Maybe one day I’ll grab the new jgc L versions but I’m not in a hurry especially w first models issues & the sky high prices atm 😊 Love your SUV btw and that color and interior looks amazing! 👍🏽 btw here Vegas gas atm is $4.33 from Sams club and it’s $75 full tank for me 😂
FYI, you can disable the auto braking when reversing through the radio. (It's a secret menu, you have to press specific buttons at the same time to get to it)
The tire thing sucks because if one tire goes , unless all are brand new, u may need to replace all 4, having one or two new tires will risk ruining the 4x4 system
That's why I bought the rear wheel drive only I don't off road so I'm good in that department my only issues I've had with my 2018 Grand Cherokee is the water pump issues I had to he replaced twice in 11 months apart other then it's been a good vehicle
I have a 2018 Grand Cherokee & LOVE IT, it is my 3rd Jeep I have had (Hurricane Harvey took my last one) & the first NEW Jeep I have ever owned. I'm happy to see a woman Jeep owner give a review on her vehicle.

I frequently encuonter "twins" here around Austin. In fact I had one pull up right bihind me the other day at the theater; threw my daughter for a loop. I love the color/trim combination though, in fact that's what drew me in first when I bought it! The other main reason I bought it was that the dash/ controls were almost identical to what my 2017 Durango had before. But that one got wrecked, which is why I got the Jeep. I DO miss having that 3rd row seating, which I don't believe is available on a GC.
I’ve got this model and year. I think it looks great, butI thank The Lord that I bought the extended warranty. It all started last spring. First thing was the right headlight went out. No big deal. Then the A/C started tripping. Found out it had a short in some wire that had to be replaced. While there, the engine brackets had to be replaced. So it needed over $3k in repairs, but only had a $100 deductible on the warranty. The day I picked it up, a service light was on. Had to take it back, another $100.00 for a pretty costly repair. Then had to take it back for the same radio issue. The face was delaminating and made use of the radio/phone impossible. Another $100 to replace. Now it’s back to running like a charm. But I’m thinking of trading in for a Toyota. I can’t imagine this happening down the line and having to pay out of pocket.
I have a 2016 Corolla S right now which I love & thinking of trading it in for exactly the same model/color but possibly 2019 or higher. Just watching this, you both sold me on doing the swap, thanks so much. 😊

For that screen issue, you might need to wipe your screen or they may be water either on your screen or in the electrical system that happened to mine too!!
its a shame the new grands dont have a diesel option, or full hybrid for that matter. 4xe is ok if u dont drive far, tho i would get tired of charging just for a 25 mile range.
Interesting review. My altitude I just got 6 months ago and it's got more features than this one. It's got the sub woofer and the sun roof. I wonder why the difference. Tires though are subjective. You gotta pay for good ones. Lol.
46 on gas, I live in Ohio costs 75 to fill tank from quarter full, just got 2014 limited/overland , considered altitude to get a completely black car, but didn’t have some features I wanted, so didn’t get it, also considered summit v8 but gas would be expensive, probably when I’m older, I’m only 18 and it’s my first car
I hear a lot of car play and android auto issue actually come from Apple and google. But they know that ppl will blame the car maker so it’s not a high on their priorities to fix
That whistling is the cabin filter behind the glove box I'm guessing, when they installed it it got a little smushed. Not installed properly. Had the same sound same issue with my Chevy company truck.

My mother has a 2018 limited with about 9k miles and she offered to sell it to me for a very fair price. I want it but at the same time, I would much rather have a Wrangler though. Then again, the price is very reasonable and well under KBB and probably worth purchasing. With that, I am worried about it having so little miles and never any real chance to break in or work through whatever it might have go wrong in the first 30-40k miles. I am pretty sure it is well out of warranty now.
I am unsure if you still have the jeep but if you do DEFINETLEY keep an eye out on that coolant. I have a 2018 as well and my coolant was leaking which it looked to had been for a while. I ended up need to change my water pump as thats where I seen it was leaking from I would take a peak if I were you to make sure it isnt leaking from there. If you smell a sweet smell from the engine bay definitnely have them look at the water pump. That is where I seen my coolant leaking leading to taking it to the dealer where it was covered under warranty. Also have them look into your transmission as my conked out on me while I was 2 hours away from home. Also how do you feel the gears are when driving kind of clonky and not smooth when shifting out of park?
