I was hoping I could buy the weapon and have it every time I start a match.
I never got into this game because of the abbreviated title.
It just looked really dumb to me forever and then I have stadia and there isn't a lot of games that I really like on it.
PUBER-G IS DOPE TO ME.

Crsed has way better graphics and seems easier to control. I love how PUBG you can choose where to drop.

Great explanation Blitz! In my humble opinion, Pubg would easily make way more money if the charged a fee to get the weapon, then use these crates to improve it. After watching people spent the equivalent of hundreds of dollars to not actually get a weapon is no way to operate. Enjoyed the explanation, but will not be swayed to spend any $$ with the current setup.
or charge a feee to get the weapon, and then set insanely hard challenges that require A LOT of time to grind, making you want to play more to level it up
Great mechanic but implemented in such a crappy way. They could've made it so that they make more money and attract more players...
@@DamirGMartinArt I try to support the game when I purchase the pass. I won't pay money for these crates as it is now. If I could spend maybe $10 on a gun, I would consider attempting to 'level' it up. I don't play many games, but I have never seen such a bad setup as the weapon upgrade system.
Just don't understand how this is legal or allowed by PUBG. The progressive skin scam is THE WORST. it is the most hated part of the game.
I hear ya - gambling mechanics in gaming and toys have existed for a long time. Kids toys do this a lot... and pokemon cards, baseball cards... but the prices in PUBG are way too high!
Yes that is true. But I say this to so many people on line when I play. Then don't buy the stuff. It's a stupid skin. It doesn't make you play better. I haven't spent a dime on this game. I play, shut it off and go about my life after. Not having stupid cosmetics on my guns and character doesn't make the game better.

Just started to get back into playing pubg for the first time in like 2-3 years with my friends. And see these new really cool skins. See that the crate system is less than or equal to CSGO crate system. It’s a sham. $18+ per crate and you get basically nothing. The menu has a % for your odds of getting a progressive weapon and it’s 0.9% with the “better/rare” skins being like 2%. It’s an absolute joke that anyone would consider gambling on those odds for a game that now includes bots because the player base has fallen off. Was willing to spend some money to get cool cosmetics but a gambling system with those rates is absolutely outlandish.
fair points - the drop rate on this is insane and the fact that you aren't guaranteed a gold when you buy a 10 pack is also crazy to me.
@@BLiTz5 yeah absolutely, if they atleast tried to disguise their approach to the crates where if you buy the bundle you’re guaranteed atleast 1 to x amount of gold crates, I could maybe sympathize a little more lol. But the fact that you can spend that amount of money to literally get dog shit skins that don’t even remotely look good is outlandish.

I got the game just the other day, and I decided to go for the bunny ones and my 1st pull I got a legendary gold Progressive skin. I told a few people and they shit their pants. They told me Progressive skins are the rarest skins you can get and I could ACTUALLY sell my account for a decent amount. I won't do that but it's cool to know I got so lucky on my 1st pull. It's like PUBG is welcoming me with a warm hand :)
I just picked up PUBG again a day ago and got the MK12-Bunny Patrol progressive skin with coupons. Thanks for the info, I was very lost. I'm not dropping any money on this haha

Just to put it into perspective, I was working out how much I would need to spend to get enough scrap to buy enough schematics to get my progressive skin up levels (Pheonix- M416).
I hope the following makes sense;
You will need to buy 60 crates to get enough "Scrap" to buy one "Schematic", that means you require 10,800 Gcoin (1,800gcoin x6) per Schematic and so you could buy the 11,200 Gcoin for $99.99 or 2x 5,500gcoin for $99.98.
To get to level 2 on your progressive skin you require 2 x "Schematics", level 3 requires another 3,lvl 4 = 4s, level 5 = 5s, level 6 = 5s, level 7 =6s, level 8 = 6s, level 9 = 7s and finally level 10 = 7s
So if you was unlucky enough to not find any "schematics" in the crates youI would need to buy enough Gcoin to purhase a total of 45(s)chematics.
so using the 5,500 gcoin purchase that's 45x $99.98 = $4,499.1 Total
Obviously you could get it slightly cheaper buy buying the $99.99 gcoin but you are still looking at $4k to fully unlock your progressive skin.
That would be the maximum cost. Along the way you would most likely receive plenty of schematics (each time you sell a progressive you don't want you get 3 schematics) and you can earn a decent amount of free contraband coupon along the way on top of the 10 you're able to buy each week. IMO, Leveling up your progressive skin is meant to be a long time journey and not an all at once thing.
It is simply asking too much to pay $5,000 for one weapon skin. I know it's meant to be over time but even over a lifetime that is way too much money

I was really lucky and actually got the M4 from a free case. That said, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the upgrading system. Imo its wasted potential, they should have made the upgrade progress with ingame challenges. Like get x amount of kills, get x amount of killstreaks etc., of course getting harder with the higher level there is. They could have still included the possiblity to upgrade it with money there, so impatient people can upgrade their gun faster and dedicated players who like a challenge can do it that way. Something similar was in the first few battle passes, where you could unlock skins for certain guns by completing challenges. This gave the player something to do, and getting the skin was really rewarding in the end.
Agreed, I just downloaded the game few dayz ago and already seeing the cost of everything.. that's insanity, Now that I've watched this video I'm gonna delete it even though it's free. I played wow and Elder scrolls online but at least you can update your weapons and such at no extra cost. when I saw 25.00 and 30.00 for an weapon skin, I too was extreamly disappointed. There are many games that are free and they don't make money off of gouging people.

How do we get scraps, still don't understand
just got my first progressive skin after like 2K hrs in the game and probably have opened like 62 crates over time. not all for the skin i got, but just guessing since i have 620 scrap rn. got the DBS skin with the mermaid on it, need more schematics now though...fak! hoping to just use the coupons and get them via the non-prog weapon skin boxes
If they made it to where you'd get schematics from salvaging the same weapon kver and over I'd be cool about spending a little money on it.
The cronus is also a problem over here on console..

I hardly ever use controband , but yesterday after completing my 6 daliys, was about to get off , had 6 so used BP for 4 more . Got the NEW Progressive, Reactive ,MK12 Bunny DMR !

So the progressive skins can be earned only from opening cases with g-coin?
you can also get crates with BP, which is earned by playing.

I got the M4A1 gold lion skin by pure luck. I dont use real money, doing challenges, and buy contraband tickets by using BP ingame currnecy.
Honestly these are just raffles that last for seasons.

@@BLiTz5 when I go to salvage some weapons it says "are you sure you want to salvage , this weapon has an upgrade"....I was assuming some of the rare weapons I had were progressives...I guess they arn't. Are the only progressives the ones currently at the store?

I’m willing to buy, and have bought, skins that I like, but I won’t gamble for them, and especially not for odds like this!!! This is probably the most predatory scheme I’ve seen in a game, and ppl who spend actual money on them should be ashamed for incentivizing companies to try this crap. Give me skins that I feel are worth the money you’re asking and I will give you my hard earned money for them. Try to rake me over the coals and I’ll hold a grudge that makes me not want to give you an extra red cent!!!
Warzone is a good example where you know what you are getting and ppl eat it the fuck up! I’m just glad COD charges way too much for these skin bundles, because I know that if they were asking half of what they are, I would have forked over $100s of dollars by now! But I can’t justify paying $20-25 for a player skin, a weapon skin, and a bunch of crap I’ll hardly use or care about.

You are actually wrong about buying the other crates at 7:50. Those crates reward the 3x schematics INSTEAD of the upgradeable skins. Since upgradeable skins reward 3 schematics when scrapped and the drop chance of upgradeable weapons is the same as the 3x schematics, it makes no difference at all to buy the crates without upgradeable skins.
It's not really wrong - but fair point, it doesn't matter which crate you buy because one progressive skin = 3 schematics once you scrap it. I like this strategy because I go for the progressive weapon crates first and then after I buy the other boxes, hoping that i'll either get the battlestat skin or the 3 schematics.

A very broken system if you ask me, you pay to unlock the skin which is already hard enough. Then you have to go and spend upwards of $1000 to even upgrade the skin to max.

It's literally the same thing if you spend your coupons on a battlestat or progressive when you are trying to grind schematics since the 3 schematic and the progressive skins are both 0.9% chance, and if you get a progressive you can scrap it for 3 schematics.

On a side note, if they really wanted to increase revenue. PubG could make skins more affordable. People are willing to spend $5-$25 on a skin depending on quality. But hundreds on a skin in a game that's losing its player base every month is not a good business model.
I partially agree with you - I think people would buy more of the other skins at a lower price but PUBG actually makes a TON of money of the progressive skins. I think they are WAY overpriced but I've seen some of the data.

im confused in the tldr section at one point you say non progressive skins give you schematics, then a min later say they only give you polymers. confused. not that it matters now ive seen how much money itll take to upgrade it anyway. what a joke. the greed from game developers since dlc started is just f-ing ridiculous.
might have misspoke in the TLDR section. Only progressive weapons give you schematics when your scrap them. You can get schematics by opening up boxes and few some promotional stuff PUBG does (like in game events occasionally)

So, basically what 've learned from all of this is that this is the dumbest and most obvious microtransaction exploit on the planet and I should just get rid of the skins I don't like for BP instead... Then i'd at least get something back for buying the crate to begin with! Yeesh.
the new system coming out (in the update tomorrow) is a little better then this one and you can use BP which is nice but overall, these systems are a little bit of a rip off.
