Congrats! Thanks for being so honest with your breastfeeding struggles. I exclusively pumped for my daughter and I felt so shamed by many till I realized how strong pumpers are. Most of us don't choose that journey and people aren't so kind along the way. I'm a Canadian FA, I quit pumping when I went back to work (1 year) as I commute and it was going to be too much of a gong show trying to juggle commuting and pumping without adequate refrigeration. Keep on keeping on girl. Your doing great!

Alex is such a sweetheart! Don’t worry about Luca, my last 2 were not 2 yrs apart and my daughter didn’t care one bit about the new baby until he started cooing and smiling

You look awesome momma! I really struggled breastfeeding as well with both my kids- the worst part is all the unsolicited "advice" lol I bled a lot during both my births. Thank you for sharing your experience- your husband is so sweet to keep us updated 🥰
Rebecca B I struggled with conflicting advice from different nurses first time round. I got so sick of it that I begged to be discharged so that I could figure it out on my own. Second time around, they waited for me to ask for advice rather than dishing it out willy nilly.

I’ve watched you for quite a while now (don’t always comment), but remember 1. you are beautiful regardless of how you “think” your body looks 2. if you feel like postpartum depression is coming, talk to someone 💕 (you don’t have to do it alone) 3. Use that pump to save your sanity (you know your body and your baby so you do what is best for both of you)

Don’t beat yourself up over breastfeeding. You are a pro at pumping. I found your channel because of your pumping videos. I have 5 kids the more you have most of the time it’s just easier to pump especially in the morning when you have to get the boys off to school etc...
It so funny how wonderful that first shower feels. For me I cannot stand the oily feeling all over my body that I somehow get during delivery. The nurses help clean your bottom however there’s nothing better then how you clean yourself up. My lady parts get so much live and care from me those first couple of weeks my thoughts are the more live I give them the better and quicker it heals. Keep up the new mama life you got this

Aw I loved watching this! My baby ended up in the Nicu right after I gave birth so our first 24 hours was a lot different and it was just so nice to see this!

I just gave birth exactly 2 weeks ago and this gave me all the feels 😭😭
As a first time mom I had to suffer since day 1 of my baby not latching. She ended up latching properly at 3 months, so I suffered it for the first 2 months (scanning, sore, pain) I made so much milk and managed to only engorge small times but I am glad that I stuck with it. sometimes it just takes a really long time for baby to latch. That was my experience, I hope this gives you some light. I know how hard it's been for u with your boys, but I hope baby 3 latches soon! Good luck!

I don't think that breast feeding is easy for anyone at the beginning! I really struggled too, including pain, cracked skin, bleeding etc, it was horrible. But, if possible, don't give up, it will get better and you will both be real pros in no time :-) Sending lots of love

Hi Ale, congratulations on your new baby boy! Please, let me tell you that breastfeeding does not come easy for NO mom, so don't get discourage. Its a learning process for both mom and baby. No baby is born knowing how to latch, they have to learn, which is why you have to be consistent and not give up if breastfeeding is what you want to do. I encourage you to listen to the Badass Breastfeeding Podcast and follow @LatchedLA these two mediums helped me tremendously in my breastfeeding journey as a first-time mom. I struggled breastfeeding my son the first two months and I almost gave up, but I reached out to LatchedLA for help and she helped me sooooo much and my son is now 14months and i am still nursing him. The podcast is a great resource for nursing moms, too! Also, skin-to-skin is extremely crucial in the nursing process! Do as much of it as possible! Anyway, hope you read this!

When I got home after I had my baby it looked like somebody lowered all my sinks because it had been so long I was able to stand close to them. LOL I thought that was such an odd thing. Anybody else?

Awww Ale he is gorgeous. Ive had 7 (6 boys and 1 girl) and yes the after pains are worse with each one, I was on painkillers but because I was feeding the baby I could only have a mild painkiller. I had terrible breastfeeding problems, my first born was allergic to my milk so he had to have formula, with the other babies they just wouldn't latch properly and caused me to have blood blisters, I was in so much pain so with the last baby I used to pump. xx

My hip was in pain for almost a month, I was so much in pain that I couldn't walk, after my daughter was born.

I’m due 02/29 got checked today and I’m half a fingertip dilated which is barley nothing sadly, but she is low and the nurse could feel her head! Praying next Friday I’m more dilated! So nervous and scared for the epidural and delivery!

Honey breastfeeding is hard for everyone I think... but it’s just something that’s not really discussed. I’m not downplaying your situation by any means... but it’s HARD. You are doing a wonderful job not matter how you feed your baby!! Congratulations on baby Leo! He’s Handsome!!

with my 1st (and only so far) she also would latch and then not stay which was so frustrating so i ended up pumping and then using formula, also after my doctor couldn’t stop the bleeding so they also kept the IV in for me pretty much my entire stay
Breastfeeding is a struggle for so many of us I feel you, did you get a 2nd opinion on the Tongue tie ? It sounds like that could be it. A lot of professionals don't accurately diagnose tongue ties
I had a bad post partum experience..i was in bed for like 2months i couldnt get on my feet for some reason maybe they didnt well my epidural or smthg like that..anyway its over now..congrats for baby leo 😍
Leo is a beautiful name we wanted to name our son leo but his other names did not fit so he's name will be logan
My labor and delivery was different then yours I had a planned csection. I only got to see my baby for a couple of minutes before they took me to recovery and sent her to the nursery it was 2 very long hours before I saw her. They also had to give her formula because I couldn't breastfeed due to me having heart Palpitations. Breastfeeding wasn't easy nor was I really able to care for her because I couldn't really move. I went in on monday at 6 am and didnt get out until Thursday evening. My breastfeeding journey ended quite quickly because my baby is extremely allergic to dairy so from day one until 1 month of her life she had horrible sores on her bum . It wasn't until her pediatrician said that maybe we should try soy formula to see if it would help . Because she was also extremely gassy and would scream in pain . I hate my self so much for taking so long to figure out that she was allergic to dairy plus other things I ate bothered her .
