Would you guys ever consider including some of the “non traditional” perspectives? I.e., the often unpopular scenario of a 30 something year old couple that loves and adores kids but doesn’t want their own? Or similar, that couple who doesn’t necessarily want to get married or at the very least, have a wedding? The pressures, disappointment, backlash, judgment, etc. 🤍

I absolutely love this idea! It’s true that some of the largest channels / accounts are those that post “controversial” content. My husband and I have tried really hard to build our brand authentically, but the truth is that content that gets people “fighting” in the comments gets pushed out to more people. I love that you’re trying to change this space because the change needs to be made. And at the end of the day, family is what truly matters. I do think that families are growing in popularity on TikTok, CZcams etc because that’s truly what people want in life. So so proud of you guys and so excited for what’s to come!!

First off, HUGE congratulations! I’ve been enjoying seeing where your podcast and CZcams channel has gone and grown into. You’re personalities and genuine joy radiate in your videos and interviews. It has brought laughter and joy into my day and life.
With Family Made, will you consider and explore highlighting adoption? As a 30 year old transracial adoptee, I have not seen that form of family showcased or highlighted in media. It would be a great opportunity for representation.

We grandparents are watching too EastFam! Been watching the Miller's for ages. There are so many good families on CZcams. I am loving the solid, good, family friendly content. I'm a 63 year old grammy, who has been politically separated from her grandkids since 2020. We just have different moral compasses but not everyone can just live amongst one another. LOL I'm married, 44 years, USN retired couple, special needs adult child at home. Quilter, yarn addict, gardener, homestyle cooking and canning. So many demographics ! But I'm here. I love content that makes me LOL and smile. Let us know how we can help spread the word. I'm a virtual assistant and content writer as well as a media manager. We must spread the word! I am so excited about this! I have followed you guys and loved every second of your content for a while now. As we have entered parenthood in the past year, we unexpectedly entered the world of “special needs” from birth as well. Being new parents is scary, but being a parent to a child of special needs is even scarier… that of a genetic disorder that is 1:15,000 rare with no cure. It sounds like you guys are doing big things! I’m hoping to see more connections of literally all spectrums and hope this will bring more light to the normalcy that no one’s lives, families, children, situations are perfect but that it is in fact normal! You should check out The Smiths! Super family of Granger Smith and his singing adventures and father of 4. He also hosts at night for I Heart Radio. Very Christian family. Wife is Amber Smith does a podcast of Arise. Let them tell you their story of their family tragedy. Granger is also preaching part time. They are busy but could be a fabulous guest or even a story that needs to be shared.

This is great. What do you think about the sacredness of creativity in a relationship? Like would you ever have a piece of your creative projects to involve like an ex or like can you talk about conscious creativity and business relationships within a marriage? I think you talked about boundaries before, I'd love to expand this topic.
I would really love to see people from different socioeconomic statuses represented on this show. I often think it is hard for the family who is living in poverty or even living in the middle class to relate to couples/families who are celebrities (which is the majority of your show). Yes, you say that you want to show the raw, unedited view of families, but please keep in mind that your raw, unedited lifestyle looks very different than that of the majority of people living around the world. I personally had a hard time continuing to watch your channel after I saw the "a day in the life with 2 kids under 2" video. I also have 2 children under 2 (twins) and wanted to relate to you so much with that content. However, seeing Shawn wake up at 7 AM, not start her work day until 11 AM (so she could get a workout in and get the kids ready), and be done with work (and at home) by 4 PM just oozed privilege to me. I wake up at 3 AM in order to get my kids ready and my workout in, leave for work at 5:45 AM, and don't get home until nearly 6 PM. That is a much more realistic perspective of the daily grind of fitness-focused working moms with young kids.

I 100% wholeheartedly agree with Shawn about her clickbait comment. My podcast partner and I were just discussing this the other day and feel that (almost) all of clickbait material is inauthentic, toxic and is only adding to the disgusting content that some people post.
Have y'all ever made any connections with Chip and Joanna Gaines. What you guys are doing fits well with their plans and goals.
What about helping a couple that is trying to get the husbands music out there and the trials and tribulations of the music industry and struggles behind making it without a record label. What it does on a marriage of 18 yrs and handling all the writing, recording of all instruments as a solo artist. Hiring players for touring and shows and so much more? Or will you only help a family become creators that are families only?B how do we find out about this info on how you will help others do what you do?
Are non tradition & non Christian families going to be featured? I love you two and this platform but hope that Family First recognizes the value of diversity in wholesome family content!

Hi there Shawn and Andrew,
First, I just want to say that i enjoy your content and social media accounts, but have some questions about this new venture.
It sounds like you're attempting to start a media network specifically for Family vlogging. The problem is, family vlogging can be dangerous when the children are the main content of that vlog.
Will your platform be more scripted shows, so the children featured are actors who are paid for their time and have a contract?
Family vlogging is not, which is part of the problem. Coogan law does not apply to family vlogging and the children who are forced to take part.
But the biggest concern with family vlogging is children cannot give informed consent. It just cannot happen. So when laws around them aren't there to protect them, they have no privacy, rights or a say in what is shared or eventually removed.
The demographics behind who watches family family is alarming. It's mostly men around age 30-50. The dark web is highly aware of family vlogs - this is terrifying.
The Dad Challenge Podcast has some great videos about the harm and dangers of family vlogging.
Just wanted to point this out in case you aren't aware, or perhaps it might be early into your planning process and you can make some changes to help not do the above.

Love this idea. However, I'm noticing that your hires are all young and Caucasian. In order to represent all types of families, perhaps consider all races, ethnicities, ages and sexual orientation when hiring your staff so that everyone is represented.💜
In addition, please don't be afraid to use the words GLBT+ if you're going to represent all types of families. There are single moms, singles dads, single-by-choice parents, foster parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, adoption, same-sex parents, heterosexual parents, people without any biological family but made a family with friends...we are young, middle-age and older. And we also want to see more positivity in the world, especially as it relates to family diversity.
I understand you are just starting this part of your business , and it's impressive, but I hope you consider all this in your vision as you grow and move forward.😊
