Avatar: The Last Airbender is known as one of the biggest and best shows of all time. With its amazing artistry, cleverly crafted storylines, beloved characters and passionate storytellers it is easy to understand why. But there is only so much we can learn about Avatar from what we see in an episode. What is lost is the amount of time and effort along with blood, sweat and tears that goes into making this show possible. Working on this show was a lot of hard work and long days, but the amount of love, care and dedication are what make this show so possible.
In this video we are going to take a look behind the scenes to see what exactly makes this show tick. How the martial art fights were choreographed and planned. How the animators managed to create such vivid worlds. And how two scrappy young animators went on to make one of the hottest properties around. Just like the show itself, the behind the scenes magic of Avatar is just as breathtaking, compelling and mesmerizing as things we see in the show. So come and join us as we look behind the curtain at the animation of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Tbh, all the reference footage they took for the fight scenes make me respect and love the show so much more 💕
It expresses their dedication to make a good show. Avatar is a reason why I got into martial arts.
Another reason why this is the most beloved cartoon of ALL TIME
I’m Joo Dee. Welcome to Ba Sing Se. We’re so lucky to have our walls to create order.
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.
The Earth has invited you to Lake Laogai
@@joaopedrodemacedofreitas1928 I am honored to accept his invitation
I thought you were dead
Let's make babies !
No question, Avatar The Last Airbender was the greatest show to ever air on Nickelodeon. The Legend Of Korra was also good despite its fair share of problems.
You mean Korra*
If there ever is a new Avatar series about the Avatar after Korra, part of the plot needs to be them searching both the human and spirit worlds for a way to reconnect with their past lives, and we could see some unseen adventures of each Avatar in the process.
That would be awesome
We know there will be future Avatar series, this would be an interesting one for sure!
I actually meet Kisu 2-3 years ago when he came to my fiancé art martial class. And what a great guy! Got an autograph from him on one of my Avatar book and we talk for a few minutes. He invited us to go at a restaurant with them but we couldn't since it was mother's day.
Funny, gentle and genuine man. Wish I could meet him again
And he was so hype when we showed him our ATLA cosplay 💙
Anyone else remember watching these martial arts clips when the show originally aired during the commercials?
So Lucius Melfoy voiced Commander Zhao?
Make sense.
We can also state that it was a giant hit when it first aired on TV back in '05. It just didn't have the streaming services and social media platforms that we have now to boost its popularity but a giant hit nonetheless.
1000% this deserves more views. Wtf Avatar community, I'm disappointed in you guys for not giving this mini-doc the attention it deserves
One word: Gifted!
Let's be honest. Probably the best piece of entertainment ever made. So much heart in this.
I love this show brings me back to my youth
Great look at the love put into this amazing show
literally the best American animation show ever
Oh my goodness, I just watched a Screen Rant video that wasn't pitch meetings. And it was actually good. Is this a late April fool's joke?
surprised myself that this was good unlike past vids that aren't pitch meetings
Legends
ILOVE THIS SHOW
I had noticed little Korean details in clothes, especially Sherlock Sokka. I thought the animators were simply using various asian cultures as inspiration, but now I know why.
I love how the video's been up for like 3 minutes and there are already like 20 comments. None of you have even seen the video yet! (IK my comment's a little ironic... but whatever)
Yay
Meanwhile korra go punch punch for everything
What animation was this used?? Because I’ve been trying to figure out what they used
There is no war in Ba Sing Se
Wow
wow
Who said that Screen Rant only supported by Ryan Georges? This video prove me the otherwise...keep up this kind of video and stop clickbaiting.
Hi
Didn’t like Korra in my own opinion. I would love to see more of the story of the aang gang when there older in there prime .
It would probably just look like filler episodes.

4:04 um... the giant bipedal polar bear didn't turn into Appa the sky bison, it turned into just that, a polar bear dog in TLOK
Hello
damnn
Did you... no... did you just say Dante "Brassco"?
Animation on par with Hannah and Barbera
I thought he was watching a documentary?
Sort of sad to compare this to Game of Thrones at this point.

Do yourself a favor and wath it if you haven't

Big mistake on koras part to make it modern.
It took away a little of the mystery.
Yes I get that technology advantage but if you allow technical support then an army of firebenders get shot.
Airbenders remove air from the lungs but a gun can shoot you a mile away.
There’s a reason guns ruin your world as well.
Then there’s cars.
If you have a car you have a tank.
A plane.
An aircraft carrier.
The connection to nature is lost.
Pollution,extinction and overpopulation.
Kora is not as fun as the first.
it's a damn shame the live action movie was garbage. there was so much potential that got wasted to try and just make some money
Your slow dramatic way of narrating is quickly tedious .
clone wars is better sorry just face it
