We cannot judge a relationship off of a 10 minute video. He’s literally buying the dress for goodness sakes… This is a TV show, where there is supposed to be a little entertainment and drama! Let’s all agree that her dress of choice is gorgeous, and the shoes were so pretty too! Oh and her Entourage seemed very happy to be there as well. Congratulations ❤
You are RIGHT, HOWEVER when a person sees a redflag and tries to WARN, there is always someone who voices exactly what you have to sway that warning, that's how the enemy works... I worked in Criminal Psychology, too long to NOT see the SIGNS clearly and didn't become an ordained minister specifically because of the redflags for no reason at all!!
I liked him. He genuinely cares for her.
well the fact she don´t buy anything without his approval is not really something anyone should say if it´s a good relatioship
I don't think there was an issue with him. He set a budget which is a smart choice and if u go over u could fall in love without having the money for it. Also having a nice honey moon making memories is more worth it even though the dress is also very important. He also respected the brides choice to leave for the last one too
@@AnniCarlsson In the end she asked him to leave as she wanted him to be surprised. He did leave. What is perfect for one person is not for another
Just because she values his opinion and he likes to give his opinion on fashion, doesn’t mean he’s controlling. I always ask my hubby how I look in something. He doesn’t give controlling vibes. He says he wants her to be happy and is just concerned about pricing. Guys can have opinions too. I once read an article where the theme of the couples wedding was “woodland boho” and bride bought a princess gown and showed her fiancé when she got home...while he thought she looked beautiful, she asked his honest opinion and he merely told her “the dress didn’t go with the wedding theme” and she left him!! I mean, it’s his wedding too, not just hers. He can have an opinion.
😂😅
They do be saying it’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding 😂 (in his case, blessing in disguise)
He dodged a bullet
My fiance said he'd like to see the pattern/design I'm going with, but not the finished product (I sew most of my own clothes, so I figured I'd make something custom). So I showed him a sleeveless version I made out of a sheet, as well as the colour of the fabric (like an off-white but in the blue direction). I asked his opinion on the sleeves and some more practical things as he worked in a mid-range fashion retailer for a few years and has good style. But we agreed that we don't want to see each other's final looks until the wedding day, just have an idea to coordinate colours, theme, and how fancy to go.
@@masculinereads4254There’s no way a girl that hot is a Tom boy let alone never dressed up; and did you really just say vibe?
She's the cutest and sweetest bride I've seen on these shows! His budget was $1,000 MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) which equals $233.40 USD. The dress she chose is $1,388 MYR which is $323.96 USD which is a good price for a wedding gown. She actually looked great in all of the dresses she tried on but the dress she chose was perfect for her.
Thank you for the exchange info on the price.
Wow thank u
Thank you for explaining the exchange in currency. However, she technically didn't go over his budget because he said that he would go $500 extra for the right dress, which them brought the budget to $1,500. Either way, the dress and the shoes are absolutely beautiful.
So I should go to Malaysia to get my wedding dress? The price is actually reasonable to a dress that will only be worn once.
That super beaded one was quite reasonable in my countries currency. I'm sure mind you if that same beaded dress was in the UK or America it would be insanely priced.
I actually love that the fiance is there; he can be the 'bad guy' without offending the friends because he's watching the budget. Everyone was quite sweet and adorable in this- she looked beautiful! Then they came out with the shoes; how absolutely special for her!
When it’s the dress, they did it right by having the Fiancé leave and pay without seeing the dress. And, even if she tells him about it, he’ll still be happily surprised on their wedding day.
That’s how it’s done 😁
even if he see the dress on her it´s not with her all ready like on weddingday. it´s still going to be a supprise. we really need to stop say omg the partner can´t see the weddingdress bad luck or whatever
It's also done right showing the fiancé the dress right away. It does not make a difference! My husband was _completely_ unimpressed seeing me in my wedding dress, I could have worn jeans and t-shirt and he would not have reacted differently. His emotions came when we walked into the church together - they came from the moment, not from the dress.
@@nriamond8010 and if the guy think the dress is that important that it must be perfect and so special that otherwise it destroy the hole wedding it´s not the rigth dude.the rigth partner going to be emotional even if you are in the pj´s
when he consoled the expensive dress after putting it back on the rack and gave it a high-five... omg so sweet and funny
She is so meek and shy. That dress brought out her beauty even more. She made the right pick.
I think he helps her feel confident.
I agree!!! She is beautiful!!!
These people are all adorable. I appreciate that the person paying is trying to be proactive about staying in budget, and the entourage ultimately cooperated.
Hello Leigh how are you doing,
where are you from?
The dress she chose is perfect for her! Her friends should not have pushed her to try on the first dress that was out of budget, doing that is risky because starting with unrealistic expectations can make a bride feel like she has to "settle" for whatever dress she can afford. Her fiance seems very practical but supportive, They make a cute couple!
Hello Lorie how are you doing,
where are you from?
What a great couple and entourage! Down-to-earth, fun, tender.
And she looks like a beautiful little doll. The dress she chose is perfect for her tiny frame.
I think her choice is the prettiest dress I’ve seen on this show - and I’ve seen a lot of dresses.
I'm pretty floored to see some South East Asian representation in here! Honestly lovely :)
You could totally tell her demeanor change when she tried the dress she ended up picking. Her shoulders were relaxed, she was less stiff in her movements. Beautiful bride! ❤❤❤
What a fun group! I love how the bride got more confident & she knew when to chase the groom out. He will melt on their wedding day!
Once I noticed the simple style with a ribbon in the scene intro for her gown choice, knew that this gown would be meant for her personality. Gown is simply relatable to her interests and the elegant style is perfect for her big day 😊👍🥰🤩😍
Her friends are awesome! Literally LOLed when one friend joked that the fiancé should sell a kidney for his bride to be happy 😂
I love that she was considerate. If you're getting married, you have to be pragmatic and think of the future. She was respectful of a budget and he trusted her to do so😍❣️
Her dress is gorgeous and suited her perfectly. Loved that they surprised her with the shoes 👟
This show was a delight to watch.
I’m so glad to see the consultants actually stay under budget for once instead of pulling dresses that are above
He seems like a fun and honest guy haha and she too she’s so chill and cool they make a perfect match
Oh wow, the friends are actually supportive and happy to be there! I skipped a section and initially thought the fiance was a friend who was in love with her, the look in his eyes when she came out of the first dress.
Simple, humble, true love! The dress is her sweetness personified.
The gown she chose looks exquisite on her. AWESOME SHOES!
The dress she chose is perfect for her. Best wishes.
Yvette & Nathaneal Long !! 🤩 I know these people from church. They have twin babies now !!
I cried when she cane out in the final dress and I never do that - lol. Perfect dress for her ❤
"Someone who can afford you can buy you. high five" hahaha this guy's hilarious
🤣🤣 I laughed so hard when that happened
“He looked like a Mexican gangster” 😂😂😂
This couple is really cute! (He's actually smart to keep the dress shopping in budget. Especially since she will only wearing it for a few hours. ) She's a beautiful woman! I hope they have a great life together.
She has a lovely figure, she wasn't used to having it showcased.
Her fiance and friends were all so sweet.
The bride is gorgeous, she's got great friends and the consultants were really nice too she kinda looks like heart evangelista
This is the nicest episode ever made, everyone is so supportive
Wow! Free designer sneaks👀 beautiful and comfy. I think that will be a new trend😍
So special!! She looked like a Princess Bride in that dress. It was perfect for her. Not the run of the mill dress. Tops anything I have seen on the other shows.
I love the dress she selected.
The consultants did really well. On the second to last, she told them more details on top, less on the skirt, and they brought her exactly that! A beautiful dress that was what she wanted, in budget, and perfect for her!
Such a darling couple.
He's so funny, obviously uncomfortable but came to support his shy bride...
To all western viewers :
1. Malaysia is a very conservative country.
2. It would be disrespectful to the family (who is present) for a couple to exhibit their romantic relationship in public .
3. No. 2 is the reason the couple appear to be kind of awkard in front of the cameras and giving a "friendly" vibe rather than a "couple in love" vibe.
4. In all episodes of SYTTD whoever is paying for the dress is also controlling the budget. Regardless of country and tradition ; it's solely about the money. The show is full of people expressing their opinion with a complete disregard to the bride's wish.
5. Since he is paying, he is "automatically in control". Unfortunately.
6. South Asian women are not as vocal and independent as we are in the west. They are more "submissive" (though I don't like this word), especially to a husband. It's a part of their culture.
7. SYYTD has really made my mind into thinking that, if I want to control my wedding day, I will be paying for it, so noone has any say!
@lemonssssssss4 depends on their salary.
She's South East Asian, not South Asian. And not all South East Asian are submissive, it's just that we respect our partner's opinion too. The wedding day is for the groom too, not just the bride.
She is a PRINCESS, they are young they will grow together. Congratulations ❤️❤️
I AM A STRONG BELIEVER IN GETTING ACTUALLY WHAT YOU WANT WITH A AFFORDABLE PRICE. THIS DRESS LOOKS STUNNING AND HONESTLY IS UP THERE WITH THE 10K+ DRESSES
She definitely looked stunning in the first dress. But the last dress and spcially the customised shoe brought it all together. I don't why it made me so happy 😭💙
Absolutely adorable from start to finish! The couple is amazing together the groom was hilarious! The beautiful princess bride has the perfect dress and her friends are so beyond loving! Fun consultants!
I loved this episode!💕🤗
That dress is perfect for her! It brought a tear to my eye when she came out. ❤️
People tend to forget that this is Asia n most of the time couples try on wedding dresses together
Ahhhh what a lovely couple every happiness in your future together
Hello Christine how are you doing,
where are you from?
“Someone who can afford u will buy u ok “😭 lmaooo
She is SO Lovelyy. I wish her and her fiance a long and happy marriage ❤️ ❤️
I got chills when she came out in the last dress!
The female consultant is very sweet and has a pleasant attitude ❤️
She look's smashing just beautiful!
Yvette is such a beautiful bride in that last dress. It's perfect for her. I personally love the slides, not a fan of heels anymore and I think they're super cute shoes
took my breath away. so stunning and they didn't even show the stunning back!
I really enjoyed this video. It was a new experience, fresh. Such a pretty bride. I wish the couple all the best.
Hello Margaret how are you doing,
where are you from?
Such sweet friends! And I love her choice
Hello Jennifer how are you doing,
where are you from?
I don’t like giving the fiancé too much ‘power’ over what the bride chooses. She should feel beautiful and special on her big day. It also gave me weird vibes hearing him say he picks most of her outfits. But as long as they are happy I guess. She look amazing in her dress.
But in the end she made the decision 100% on her own, without him in the room even, and got the princess dress she wanted
Yes it's so true, I feel this too
I mean i pick my husbands outfits because he picks anything even if it’s dirty and I’m like aight not on my watch 😂 maybe it’s the same for her, it’s an inside joke and an act of affection. (At least I hope so…)
@@xEPICxNESS That’s so cute but in my opinion there’s a lot of difference between picking an everyday outfit and picking a wedding dress for their special day. I know the dress isn’t the most important part of the ceremony but many have a very specific vision for their day. Thankfully she chose a dress she likes.
@@biscuits694uhmmm... stop being an armchair psychologist. when she wanted to not show him the last one he was excited. most likely cuz he realized: she found the one! i think they had a cool dynamic
Omg I loved this! 🎉 Finally Malaysia gets showcased wonderfully 🥰🇲🇾
選んだドレスは着てるの見た瞬間に涙出て来た。ほんと可愛い。
似合うドレスの力ってすごいわ。
You still have 2 kidneys right? 😂
The dress suits her so well. Beautiful. The consultants really picked well on this one 👏
My jaw dropped omg. She's gorgeous! Those are great friends.
Adorable bride and fun groom
The dress is lovely, and really suits Yvette, as do the shoes. No veil? Expect this was from months ago, so hope they had a fabulous wedding, and are enjoying wonderful wedded bliss. All best wishes!
"Why is he there? He's paying." I couldn't understand what they were saying, had to watch it 10 times. But it's so neat to see other cultures and nice that they're even doing the show in English.
Her friend suggesting to the groom that he sell a kidney 😂. She goes, “You still have 2 kidneys right?”🤣🤣🤣
She's soo pretty!!🥺 Glad she found her dress
Not him talking to a dress and high giving it 😂😂😂
She is absolutely stunning!!
She made a great choice
Her dress she picked is so her it's perfect
Even I cried 🤣😂🤣 She looks stunning x
She's stunning
Everyone is so nice, love this
He’s sweet…of course he doesn’t want to go broke over a dress…especially one that will be worn for a couple of hours in the scope of a lifetime…I wouldn’t either. In my opinion women pay way too much for their dresses. But that’s me. He did say ultimately he wants her to be happy. I love the one she picked…perfect for her…and she respected his need to keep within the budget…a sign of a good match. 🥰Respect for each others needs and wishes. 😊BTW these store consultants are over the top…I think they’d scare me out of the store. 😮
I like the fact that the groom went with her to choose the dress others would just pay for it
Perfect dress for her - I love this couple.
absolutely lovvved the second dress
I wanted to see the other dress the consultant had in her hands. She looked very pretty in her Final dress.
She is such a beautiful bride in all of those dresses, her personality is sweet snd lovely too ❤
I love her friends!
"He looked like a Mexican gangster"😂 😂😂😂
Wow this is the first time i actually love a dress that someone on say yes to the dress has on. Totally my style.
I love this couple and their friends!! ❤
This is Say Yes To The Dress In Malaysia Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾. Enjoy guys 😉
She looked amazing, somehow managing to be adorable, princessy and beautiful all at once ❤
She has great friends. Lucky girl
This consultant is so beautiful and stylish
She is so freaking cute! That dress was perfect for her. Such a beautiful girl.
She is so beautiful. She would look good in anything.
That was the best one. But still so much bling. Why not simple satin for the tomboy? Satin, no beads or lace, similar shape, 3/4 length. She's stunning and doesn't need a dress to distract.
I love the $1380 dress. It's beautiful. Perfect for her.
Seeeeee??!!! 🤣😂 You tell him, Sister!!
What a beautiful dress
Very cute couple
Oh just sooo lovely!
I don’t quite see romantic chemistry between the bride and groom, they’re more like platonic friends. The bride is beautiful and I wish them both every happiness♥️
great conclusion from a 9 minute video showcasing the limited interaction between a couple from a conservative country.
Did you not see how he looks at her? There is this heartwarming tenderness in him.
Friendship is just 1 of the basis for marriage.
I think they are both just chill personalities. We are so used to wild and outlandish people on this show when normal couples come in we are like nah no chemistry lol. My husband and I were close friends for many years before we started dating. Even today after 21 years, when we go out we are pretty chill but chemistry is still there.
Are you not friends with your partner? My man is like my best friend. Im not going to be all over him all the time when friends are around. I dont like making people feel like third wheels.
Thanks so much
I loved everyone in this video .... Adorable ppl ❤️
Such a fun group 🫶🏼
The dress she chose was perfect
