Betty seemed like such a nice person - never heard anyone in the industry say an unkind word about her. Ryan Reynolds thought so much of her that he named his daughter after her ❤ Betty and Allan’s love story was the real deal. She really had two great loves of her life: her husband, and animals. She devoted her life to raising a great deal of money for animal welfare. I just loved that about her! I cried when I heard she died. What a wonderful lady - she’s definitely missed!

I believe it was said that Betty wished to be cremated, and I believe she was. JMO and not based on fact, I have such a strong feeling that her ashes are there with Allen at the gravesite. Betty's final resting place was never announced because that was who she was - no ego. I adored her. May she and Allen rest in peace 💕
She was cremated, according to her personal assistant. And I agree with you, I wholeheartedly believe that’s where her ashes are.

I live close to Mineral Point and I know his grave was disturbed with a spot just big enough to place an urn of ashes, so I am thinking she is buried there. That is a guess and nothing else.
I'm so glad you commented this bc I truly felt like she would be buried there, but wouldn't want it to become a tourist attraction. Maybe so that his kids (her stepkids) and grands and so forth could visit without really being bothered.

@chips1a… I bet you are exactly correct. It does not seem even remotely possible that she would not have her cremains be entombed right there in the same ground where he is. Especially hearing that she requested such secrecy about her earthly remains and her direction that the house they had together be torn down. A love affair like no other. 💝
I loved this story. When you mentioned that Betty and Allen starred in a play at the Lakewood Theater in Madison, Maine, it brought back a childhood memory of mine. In July of 1968, I saw them together in “Once More With Feeling”
at the same theater. My family was in Maine visiting my aunt and she had tickets for us for my birthday. They were wonderful together and so funny.
I remember them from their Password days. It was sad when he died. Even his TV personality was super nice. He just seemed genuine.
According to her friend Vicki Lawrence, Betty’s last word before she passed was “Allen”
That’s right! My husband moved to Heaven July 17, 2021 … I’ll never marry again or even date! When you have had perfect …. there’s no option! Your grandfather is very wise and so was Betty!

It really doesn't surprise me when some who had very public lives, chose to have private graves, maybe they &/or their family decided that 'they've given enough of themselves to the public, it's time to have privacy for themselves'. I'm sure there's a list somewhere on the internet of famous people who have private graves that aren't open to the public & I don't blame them for wanting the peace & privacy.
Another vlogger went there a while back and noticed a spot in the grass in front of Allen's marker that looked like it was possibly where they may have buried Betty's ashes. I hope she's there with him.
Doris Day had the same request. No funeral, memorial, headstone/marker.. She is in the Carmel Valley, where she called home. But wanted to be remembered still as "here".
I loved Password, and Betty White was awesome. Betty White and Allen Ludden were a great couple. I used to love it when Carol Burnett and Alan King would play against each other, as both were such great players. I miss Betty White a lot. She always made me laugh. I loved her on the Match Game too.

I was sick a lot when I was a kid I used to watch the reruns of Mr. Ludden's versions of Password, he was so cool he made everything fun and interesting to watch

This was such a beautiful story about true love. So interesting and funny to hear about his kids and her boyfriend all knowing they were meant to be together. They both were loved by their peers and the public which made them very special in the industry. Seeing them together on Password was so much fun because they both had the same sense of humor and quick whit. It is sad that she wanted their home torn down and also being in the public's eye her entire life not wanting her fans that loved her to ever know where she is buried. You did such a beautiful job on this and your attention to details that most people have never heard before makes this vlog and honestly all the vlogs you do extra special!! Great job! I often wondered that myself, about why celebrities want a private burial, but you have to consider they led their lives in the public eye and had their every move monitored. The way I see it, they want at least their family to grieve without everyone noticing. It is a small thing, but it means a lot to them.
Another winner from Jordan the Lion---a celebrant of American popular culture. This was so interesting---two very good likeable people who fell in love and that love endured beyond death. I hope Betty rests there. I think she probably does. It's a beautiful, serene place.

Allen Ludden was my favorite game show host besides Alex Trebec. I remember watching as a child. Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Montgomery were great. I just happened to watch an old password with Patty Duke and John Astin. It was from 1980 so I googled when Allen left it was October of 1980. They were really excellent players.

If Betty White is secretly buried with Allen Ludden, then no doubt she didn't wish to upstage him in death.
I was four when Allen Ludden died, so I only know him through reruns. A few years ago on Betty's birthday, I wanted to make a FB post with something other than the Golden Girls or MTM. I figured an old Password episode with both of them would be good. Of course, with CZcams, that's easy to find. As I watched this old black and white episode with newlyweds Allen and Betty, I saw that one of the contestants was the husband of a former co-worker.

Allen used to gift Betty jewelry engraved Y.V.O.H = Your Very Own Husband. They both left notes and cards for each other signed Y.V.O.H. and Y.V.O.W. (Your Very Own Wife)….their humor and love for each other. Notice the etched side of Allen’s stone, in the bottom right corner, rather fading….MVOH = My Very Own Husband ❤

I'm guessing people started going to see his grave more after Betty died, to see if she'd be buried by him or not. Not remarrying after a spouse dies really isn't uncommon, neither of my grandmas remarried after their spouses died, I probably wouldn't either.
We tilted back Nan's headstone, the urn of her great grandson was buried and the headstone put back in place. There was nothing to see afterwards, no sign of the stone being moved, nothing. I wonder.........

That story of Allen Ludden placing an engagement ring on a neck chain reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City.
When I was a kid, everyday I would watch a game show Allen hosted called The Liar's Club. Betty was often on that show as part of the celebrity panel. Back then I didn't know they were married. I always liked Allen more than the hosts of other game shows. He & Gene Rayburn (The Match Game) were my two top favorites.
Unlike Jordan, I completely agree with Betty's wishes about not telling the public where her final resting place is. I understand that fans would want to visit & pay their respects, but I see it as Betty & countless other celebrities spent their lives being public figures & entertaining us for years. They've earned & deserve their privacy in death. I hate seeing celebrity gravesites "vandalize" by their so called fans with graffiti messages on their headstones, leaving behind all sorts of mementos that honestly doesn't mean crap to the deceased. Sure certain items hold a specific meaning (rocks/stones for Jewish faith, crosses for Christianity, or coins for military members) but people leave beer cans, bottles of booze, cigarettes, plastic junk items, etc. After awhile, these sacred resting places end up looking like a pile of garbage. In my opinion, that is very disrespectful. Express your grief & show your fandom in a more constructive way - a donation to their favorite charity or another contribution in their name like planting a tree, feed the homeless, etc.

Thank you doing this one Jordan, I wondered too where Betty was buried. I'm glad no one knows where she is buried. Seering as she was a public figure she may not have been respected. I always think of Jim Morrison of the Doors. What the public did to his grave. Thanks to this video we know now why they tore down her house. I thought because the house was old. I'm glad they did it then. I hope too that she is buried there somewhere quiet and away from people. Thanks for doing this one. Stay safe and take care.
