I'm needing one of those on my AC 36!! Thank you sir! If you're not a member of Forestry Forum, you should check it out. You would be a good asset to us that need some help with this sort of stuff!

Great information. I did extensive research on sawmills when I bought mine about 8 years ago. I really liked the Cook's AC36 sawmill and actually put money down on an order. About a week after doing that a used Wood-mizer LT 40 superhydraulic with kubota diesel came up for sale near me, so I cancelled my Cooks order and purchased the WM. I would really love to see a video on your thoughts about the positives and negative on the different mills you have experience with. One thing I don't like about my WM is the loss of use of the hydraulic function after you loose contact with the copper strip, otherwise it's been a good mill. I do think the Cooks is a heavier built mill. Thanks, new subsciber.

I am adding this same one to my LT70, based on your recommendation. I'll be using it off the 12V battery. Did you cut off the end with the female plug and direct wire it in? I have a deutsch connector WM provides for a laser and don't think I want to add a battery-run inverter to get an ac plug-too much dust. I am planning to cut off the female end, wire it to a matching male deutsch, and hopefully be good to go...

I can see how you adjust the laser in the horizontal across the frame, but how do you adjust it to level with the length of the frame? Is this a self leveling device?

On that particular mill I mounted under the band wheel behind the blade. Mounted as level as you can behind the blade it may not be exactly level from one end to the other but it will be within a fraction of an inch over a 15ft span.

Thanks for the very informative video and I plan to order the laser. I did not see the magnet option so could you please let me know where you purchased it? Many thanks.

If you'll watch the other video it'll show you how to install the magnet. I bought the magnet at harbor freight.

That laser is 5.5V, how long did the laser last after connecting to 12V?

    • @mulemountainsawmill9001

That laser is a 9 volt to 12 volt input. it's still lasting which means I use it everyday. Hope this helps.
