- It's that time of year again. Off with the mower deck and On with the chains.
I figured I'd to a video on getting these things on right as it can be tricky, especially the first time or two that you have to do it.

Nice. My 75 year old brother and I jack up my John Deere 445 so we can rotate the tire which eases all that catching up on the tire lugs. I also let almost all the air out to cinch them up and reininflate. We find its quicker too
That is one way of doing it- letting the air out is a smart idea

I had to add spacers in order for them not to hit frame on my JD2305
I can see that- some of the brands the tires are pretty close to the frame

I think NOT fixing them in the snow, is an advantage, dry, sunny, and warm....

last year I had to fix them in a blizzard at 0 degrees- not fun at all

I've never had any issues running them either way. I have a set on the Kubota BX that are installed that way and have 4 years on them.
