    Last April.
I was chilling, watching a CZcams video and some guy calls to my house by ringing the doorbell.
So being the lazy mofo I am, I ignore the repeat ringing.
A few moments pass and I hear a huge crash from a window being smashed downstairs
I quickly realise that my house is being broken into and need to get ready to deal with it.
Looking around my room to procure an item I could use to defend myself with I had to opt to picking a guitar.
The guitar I chose was the Harley Benton 8 string guitar.
(Harley Benton R-458 BK Progressiv Series)
Armed with that beast, I charge downstairs and encounter the burglar breaking and entering.
At this point there's glass all over the floor and the burglar is making his way into the house.
Holding the 8 string guitar by the headstock I approach him and tell to get the F out.
The burglar threatened cut to me with a box cutter so bashed him across the head with 8 string!
He hit the ground like a sack of shit but he quickly got to his feet before I hit him again and jumped back out through the window and took off running!
I tried to cut him off by running out the front door but it was locked.
I ran back upstairs grabbed my keys and saw from my bedroom window
    that he was getting away.
So instead of downstairs and out the front door, I jump from the second story window still with the 8 string in hand!
At that moment the burglar looked back while I was mid free fall and look of horror on his face was priceless.
At that point he knew he was F'd!
So he took off running for his life down the street while I charged after him wielding the HB 8 string body raised overhead ready to whack him with it!
I managed to close the distance and I gave him a belt of the guitar across the head and temporarily stun him.
I got infront of him and that this point he brandishes his stanley blade knife and begins slashing at me with it!
Luckily I was able to maintain distance and parry all his attacks by jabbing him in the face repeatedly with the guitar.
Two minutes of knife/guitar duelling we ourselves out in the middle of the road on a roundabout and all traffic has come to a halt as we continued fighting!
After many well placed strikes the burglar's head was beginning to look like 'Sloth' from 'The Goonies' movie.
Realising that I wasn't gonna give up the burglar then tried to make a get away by hijacking an articulated lorry which resulted in him getting punched straight in the face and falling out of the lorry cab!
He then proceeded to get into another car and threaten the driver telling them to drive.
My heart sank as I thought he was gonna get away but I just couldn't let that piece of shit get away with it, so I chased after the car in what would have looked like a low budget Terminator 2 chase scene!
Somehow I managed to keep up with the car and see where it was going!
The driver had pulled over and the scumbag got out and planned to hide in a barber shop to which he was quickly escorted off the premises because he had a head on him like a buckled mattress.
I ran into them and ask the to call the guards.
Meanwhile the moron went into a neighbouring café and sat down (I think that was the concussion beginning to set in!)
At this stage I had enough and I left the guitar outside and I went in and disarmed and pinned him in the café as staff and customers looked on in confusion but I calmly explained to everyone once I had in an anaconda choke.
The guards appeared in no time and arrested him and put into the car.
The moral of the story is:
Don't bring a knife to a guitar fight.
A Harley Benton guitar is a great guitar.
*A couple of months later the story made its way back to HB HQ
and the sent me out a free care package to help me repair my 8 string!

Don't bring a knife to a guitar fight.
Brilliant! That popped into my head when you first brought up the box cutter. I knew I wouldn't be the first person to say that.
      But what a great story.
I live in kind of a dicey neighborhood so I'm going to go out and buy me a Harley Benton... one with a head stock for a better grip.

Harley Benton FanFret-8NT QBB 2018 DLX:
For a little over $400, a seemingly fine way to check the world of eight string guitars out (especially at the time). As I was / am prepared to experiment with and mod it I'm _relatively_ happy with it, but it could also have arrived in better shape. Especially some of the frets were in frankly unacceptable condition for something that supposedly went through _some_ form of quality control... Also more electrical noise than you'd like but not unusable.
A mildly irritating situation arose where I asked if there were suitable replacement nuts to buy (broke mine through inexperience, completely my own fault, quick and effective lesson at least!) and instead of answering the question they immediately just sent a return slip which _is_ commendable in a way but not what I wanted or asked for, so I just dropped that and fixed it with Loctite myself. Surprisingly holds up to this day, knock on wood. (Worth noting that I've had great experiences with their support on other occasions, where actual dialogue took place.)
Harley Benton Fanfret 7-TPB 2018 DLX:
Glad I went ahead and gambled on this too after the above experience because it arrived in _way_ better shape - in fact I have no real issues with it at all! Brand new, good sounding, smooth playing (not only un-damaged but smooth frets), multi-scale sevenstring for less than $300 shipped? Crazy. Doesn't hurt that it looks great too (in my opinion, of course). :) Jackpot of an affordable guitar as far as I'm concerned. Shoutout to Agufish and his review of the 2017 model, watched that several times before making my decision.
Harley Benton PJ-5 HTR Deluxe Series:
Not a bass player so my thoughts and opinions on this aren't worth much but _again_, _for the price_ (less than $150) I'm impressed. Depending on how all them knobs are turned and such it can get extremely noisy which I assume it ideally shouldn't neccessarily have to be, but other than that I have no complaints, seems dependable and is a better bass guitar than I am bass player so...
All in all, I think Harley Benton is a great budget brand, bit of a gamble as I'm forced to assume some of the price is achieved by not having _the_ most thorough quality control out there but they seem to be improving on all possible fronts. They still have a model or three I'd like to add to my budget arsenal some day!

Easier to play then my real Les Paul, and both get played daily. Love these guitars and will be buying more for sure.

@@NawImNate these have actually held up really well. I did swap the pickups in one guitar just because I was looking for a different sound. The gold top came with P90s and sounds great. The set up and action on both were pretty decent right out of the box. Other than a truss rod adjustment when the seasons change I have done nothing to them. I have since ordered 2 more HB guitars, another single cut and a PRS style guitar and both have been great as well. I have heard of people having trouble with fret ends being sharp or damage during shipping, but I haven’t encountered this myself. I would recommend them still.

@@philipbarone9294 Living in central US, paid 200 euro + 30 for shipping and fees. Took about 1.5-2 weeks to get to me but that was because I ordered it the day after christmas 2019. Guitar came well packaged and no damage or flaws to the body or neck.
I'm a new guitar player and to me, it plays fine I have no complaints besides maybe needing a slightly wide neck because my finger tips like to slightly rest on other strings and deaden the sound, but that's most likely lack of experience.
It holds tune pretty well with the strings that came with the guitar. 3 things I'm going to end up upgrading, the tuners to make them locking they currently hold tune pretty well and aren't too gritty just like the thought of smoother locking tuners just seems like less work, a bone nut because turning stability, and better strings which I'll probably end up breaking a string or just wanting different gauges or something.
The only thing I also might do to my guitar is do some fret work (polish, round out and just get feeling a bit better), coat the fret board, and maybe better pickups later on.
But overall I'm very happy with my guitar and it's $230 well spent, I'll keep playing and if i decide to get another guitar I'll probably go with their higher end guitar the $350 one.

The search for another guitar, which is suitable for metal and must correspond to my sound ideas and I also like the look, designed this time very easily. Since I have ever had a Harley Benton guitar and although the RX 10, this time again fell to the selection on a Harley Benton guitar, because for a top guitar is not a major brand manufacturer. And before I search forever. As always, I will find it at Thomann, with the house brand Harley Benton. So again with the Harley Benton HWY 25 BKS Progressive series. In terms of optics, the guitar is what you would expect from a metal guitar. What I like well is the matt black finish, just not everyday. Then have a look on CZcams, the sound samples there are not always optimal, but often a clue in which direction the sound etc. is. And the sound examples; Test & Reviews for the HWY 25 BKS finally convinced me to order this Harley Benton guitar. In addition, my complete pedal equipment consists of Harley Benton pedals, as well as a 4/12 box. My AMP is a Bugera 333 XL. Everyone should be aware that you can not expect any further extras like a gigbag or suitcase for a guitar with a selling price of just 99, - Euro. As a pickup act two high gain humbuckers, which usually guarantees the best possible power and thus it should be clear for which genres this guitar is suitable. The pickups are switched via a 3-way switch bridge - neck - both. No unnecessary bells and whistles such as splitting in single coil or other unnecessary frippery that you almost never needed but of course must pay. I love guitars with such simple circuits, so I call this combination as a top and in the normal case as completely sufficient. Furthermore you can adjust the sound and the volume with a volume and tone control. This is completely sufficient. I do not like guitars where I have 4 or more podis to control the volume or the sound, after all I want to play guitar and not turn on buttons or switch at switches. Very good playability. But an excessive use of the vibrato system, is rather acknowledged with a detuning, about half tone deeper, who does not mind can live with this situation, As experience teaches us, it is the same with many guitars and diminishes or is completely gone, after several times the vibro operated and the tuned strings. With one guitar, the faster it is with the other slower, I mean, that one has to re-tune the one less with the other, until the problem is gone or bearable. If the guitar is detuned by the vibro, then when you re-tune, pull the pages slightly HIGH, so off the fingerboard and then tune. I have done this one week about 6-8 times and the problem has been resolved, I use the Floyd Rose now WITHOUT the guitar detuned. Considering that at "brand manufacturers" at least 1/3 of the price for the name is paid and you also paid the middlemen and any Endorser as an end user, you have at Harley Benton for the price guitars to a real equivalent. If one were to eliminate the costs of endorsers, the brand name and the advertising of "brand manufacturers", the "brand guitars" would not be much more expensive either .................. because as a If you need even more guitars for professional musicians, my next two guitars are again Harley Benton guitars: the Harley Benton R-456FR BK Progressive Series and the Harley Benton S-620 TR Rock Series. My main guitar is a BCRich Warlock BKII Widow which I Also bought 10 years ago at Thomann. Here is my complete review at Thomann. Tip: If you get a Harley Benton SC-550, it uses the same pickups as the models with coil split. Just install some push-pull pots and rewire, and you can add coil splitting to your 550. I did it. It was a pain because I didn't test my new pots first, and one of them was bad, so I had to replace and rewire. But if you avoid being a dumbass like me, it should be a one or two hour fix. Also, if you get good pots (not those tiny things that come with the guitar), you'll have to widen the holes. Easy peasy, just a warning for those who want to try it.

can confirm that harley benton guitars are great. Just picked up a CLA-15MCE VS and this thing is awesome for 190 bucks. sure i could have bought the all mahagony Fender CD-60SCE but that came in a bland sticky gloss finish, had a plastic nut and saddle, lower quality electronics, plain dot inlays, cost 30 bucks more and would definitely need a new set of strings, bone saddle and a setup. Th HB comes in a lovely feeling satin finish for quicker more comfortable playing/plus the colour is gorgeous, a bone nut and saddle, higher quality elecronics, snowflake inlays, expensive coated daddario strings and had been setup before shipping. low/mid height action, no fret buzz anywhere and intonation was perfect.
In short, would recommend over all other brands even recording king in this price range because HB's quality control is better. a similar price recording king i have needed fret levelling, a couple of the tuners were stiff and the fretboard on the body was slightly warped (not really a problem on a parlor guitar) .

I believes HB will make history in selling guitar in many years to come.. Good job!!
