- A comparison between the big boys of the rucksack world. Would you choose the Belgian Army surplus rucksack in their Jigsaw camo, or do you go for the Flecktarn Bundeswehr inspired rucksack. I try to see the differences and advantages of design and construction.

the Flecktarn backpack is a wild mixture of copies.
You can find Karrimor, Berghaus and Lowe here... I couldn't see it exactly, but the long strap at the top center is meant to compress the backpack in the upper area a little under the lid (Lowe system)
The Gurt Clips Male have only two prongs so you can roll them up onto the harness to shorten the straps.

Good review... I think I prefer the flactarn pattern, but the Belgium Rucksack. I have the British Army 120ltr but the main compartment, seems nowhere as big as the jigsaw and you can't access it from the bottom of the bag like you can here on the Belgium ruck.

Just the thought of needing a 110 puts me off a hike/camp. What size optimal for a 2 dayer? 50L?
Guage it for the tiome of year Rod, 50L i would say is cutting it fine. I think there a 65 Ltr set of sacks that you could use for summer. Its not about the weight for me, just the ability to take what I would need. My next vid is 90Lts and for the kit I was carrying it was sufficient, although minimise the Kelly kettle and I could have gotten away with a smaller sack. .... cheers Rod

Once for you and the other on for your partner who died dragging your your dead body.
They are cheap.
