All of the Goodwill thrift stores in my city look like there was an explosion in them. I’m always amazed to see stores this organized by color and neat and tidy. Instead of stuff just thrown here and there and everywhere. And I’m with you the music is horrible.
I know it might be difficult, but in some of your videos could you basically just say what your mind is saying? Sometimes you just glance in boxes and put them away, I wonder what you see that quickly that makes you know that the box isn’t good.
Thanks for slowing down. Like all of us, I think you get excited about good finds (i.e. the eyeglasses towards the end of the video) and forget to tell us the brand. 😊 It really helps to hear brands. It’s often too tiny to read in the videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I love videos like this you can learn to find so many different items and brands. I will watch every video you put out that mentions what to look for in these stores, so thank you I hope you keep making them. I will watch pokemon card bag openings if you would have picked them up.
Not sure if you could do video on how to test all the electronics you sell? I know you’re busy and have the surgery coming up. And you’ve mentioned a pouch you carry in store with batteries to test on the fly. Prob more a “jride flips” vid just throwing it out there I need to start writing these things down when you cover them in videos thanks for the knowledge.
The stores here in Pittsburgh will pull any electronic worth money and sell it at Goodwill online. Our shelves are minimal compared to what you are showing in your video. A wallet can be as much as $7 - $9. There might be 3 or 4 pairs of sun glasses. Most shoes and sneakers have damage because those that are in good shape are also sold online. Even St. Vincent DePaul has started listing their items worth money on Ebay.
Great video! When you turn more than 30 degrees if you wiggle your fingers in front of the camera it will focus on that and not give those of us who have vertigo a trip we’d rather not take. 😉 Yvon Channel does this. It appeared it’s easier for you to go slower the 2nd time through. You are a very good teacher these are just food for thought! ❤
New to seeing your videos and contemplating getting into reselling myself, how do you feel towards dvd/blue rays? I imagine it differs by title but curious if buying bulk lots is even a good idea or if they would even sell
Jride you are the man! I watched this video last night and today I found 3 salad masters at my local GW! All pots (3 qt, 7 qt, & 12qt) +/-$1000 resell estimate combined. Thank you for introducing me to this BOLO. I admire your work ethic and discipline which has really helped me as a new reseller to maintain a solid sell-through rate. Thank you for making your content!
I sell on EBay. I’m no expert. I personally sell 98% of my items but it now. Auctions can be okay, but the item needs to be in high demand and not have a ton listed already or it’s easy to make no money on an auction item. They can be fun to watch though!
The breg knee ice machine sells really well. You can’t do eBay of course, but I sell them frequently on Facebook marketplace and offer up for 50-75 dependent on model. Just an FYI. It’s around the 3 minute mark, near the curling irons etc. Thanks for everything, stay safe. Dallas Deals
Hi! Thank you so much for the great content on this channel! I am new here and just starting out my reselling journey. I don't understand or know where to start for shipping. I was wondering if you can please answer some questions on shipping? How do you know what to charge for shipping? Do you use any websites/tools to help guide you on what to charge for shipping? Thank you for any help you can offer!
Vogue, Ralph Lauren, Shady Rays, Oakley, Ray-Ban, Coco Chanel, Prada, BVLGARI, Celine, Christian Dior, Gucci, Versace these are some brands I look out for.
Man i wish you would travel to arlington Virginia. I need help so bad i finding things at thrift stores. Every now again i get a wifi router that sells that day and i buy it for 2 and sell it for 20 before shipping, just wish i could get more items like that more often
Your videos are so helpful! I don't have a vlog, and don't feel I am an authority of any kind on video editing, so take this thought with that in mind. Many of my favorite streams start as I click on the video, and some don't have much of a lead in so by the time the video opens for me (I'm watching on my phone) I have missed up to five or ten words of the speaker UNLESS the video edit includes some kind of lead in before content begins. Bearded Thrift Machine has a little intro, but I like how you say, ok guys we are going to talk about today.... still I always rewind because I have usually missed the first 5 to 10 words. This could be my slow connection. It could be that I have you tube preferences set wrong, but thought I would mention it anyway.
I know you mentioned selling lamps. It’s funny I never sold any lamps but my fiancé found this beautiful, vintage goddess rain oil lamp. They sell for over $300. We have been lucky enough to find 2 in the past!
Love the content. Definitely would not leave your cart like that. I have had several hundred dollar point and shoot cameras stolen from my cart multiple times with my cart RIGHT next to me.
On the back wall near the end of the video, a woman was looking at something with a lid, and I saw a scentsy burner box. Some of them could go for good money. Do you pick them up?
Do you have any advice for people who do not have such loaded thrift stores nearby? Ive tried sourcing on Facebook marketplace which has been doing okay.
@JridePicks you said you don't do board games because of checking pieces. I think you're missing out on a category. I've sold at least a dozen games in the $100-$200 price range. $100+ for a board game is worth the time.
Always check plastic bags of toys really closely it's always with the extra minute. There's a reason I use the phrase that I never met a baggie of toy I don't like 😂
Going slower helps a little but it appears the main issue is your rendering of the videos. It COULD be an auto-focus issue but I do think the rendering could be a problem. If you are rendering your videos to a lower quality than you record to save time, that could be the reason for that subtle blur and pixelated feeling of objects as you move the camera. I personally don't think you move too fast. Other resellers I watch move just as fast without the motion sickness. Definitely look into the rendering aspect of your videos. Also, don't use anything that remotely sounds like "motion smoothing". That feature makes videos have a weird texture too. And if that's not the issue, it could simply be the camera or the sd card (be sure to use a high speed sd card or media card). Regardless, love the content! I'm definitely looking for some saladmasters now.
Vintage speakers that go for $80 to $150 PLUS SHIPPING each, priced at $5, and you said you “just decided to leave them behind”. I’m calling BS…. No way you would leave those behind, so why not just be honest?
Im finding it takes forever to be in a thrift store looking everything up... does there come a day when we just know by sight.... time is money and Im wondering how all you other resellers handle that part of things!
@JridePicks No I don't think so. I teach Commerce for a living. And this was one of the worst videos i've ever seen on recently. The internet is not for everybody.
Thats ok I appreciate all of the good content in Jride’s videos. I watch for the money making tips and I continue to make more money because of them!! I know he will keep on improving his audio and video performance. For myself and others who enjoy making money it’s worth watching.
@@kimlynne84 I'm glad you enjoy them. Plenty of good content out there for people that want to learn. As a Commerce and finance and economics professor this is definitely a channel I would avoid.
Did you guys like the live recording or the voice over portions better?
Doesn't matter to me.
The music was too loud!! Wow! Either is fine as far as you speaking but I'd say voice over in that store.
Same for me doesn’t matter either way
VO. The music was too loud.
Either way
A double voice over with original voice. Now that was trippy!
Yeah I though I'd accidentally clicked a second video.😅
That first thrift store is about the most well organized I’ve seen.
your Thrift store is so beautifully organized! The ones in our area look like hand grenades have been set off on the shelves.
This video was much easier to watch , thanks for slowing things down !
I appreciate it thank you!
Not sure if you know, several audio issues in this one. Great stuff as always though!
Please show how you test the guitars without an Xbox!!
Thank you for slowing down for us. You did a great job. Great info too.
You're very trusting leaving your cart out of arms reach 😳
Was thinking the same thing. Almost everyone at the thrift stores during opening hours where I live are doing the exact same thing
Awesome video. Please do more of these.
All of the Goodwill thrift stores in my city look like there was an explosion in them. I’m always amazed to see stores this organized by color and neat and tidy. Instead of stuff just thrown here and there and everywhere. And I’m with you the music is horrible.
1:50 the jack lalanne sells fast, easy 20-30 profit depending where you ship. Parted out 40-50 profit.
I know it might be difficult, but in some of your videos could you basically just say what your mind is saying? Sometimes you just glance in boxes and put them away, I wonder what you see that quickly that makes you know that the box isn’t good.

Love your videos!! ty so much for the tips and information! I am just now learning and I appreciate all the advice 😊
Really like the picking video’s, thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. Greatly appreciated

Haha yeah I can make a video on that
Great video! Thanks for slowing down. Thanks for all the info.
Great pick ups!! Im going to take a thrifting vacation to north utah this year.

Love learning this
How do you test the guitar hero’s without the console I have 4 I need to test???
I know he said he was going to show "how to" yet never did

Loving the double voice over! 😅 sounds like you had some duct tape moments. Thanks for all you do!
My father sold SaladMaster cookware back in the 1950's. Great stainless steel waterless cookware!

Love your content and the knowledge you share. Do you think it’s best to sell via the auction or just set buy it now prices on eBay?
Yes also wondering if you list auction or set price which I guess would be buy it now

What was the brand of the glasses you picked up? Thanks for all your information. I’m learning.
Pretty sure it was Salvatore Ferragamo
how do you package and ship glasses without a case?
11:25 bottom right corner. Some of those can be excellent. Some of those can be good if its a revere ware. Sold one for 65+sh. Noodle cooker/steamer

I have several videos on that on my @jrideflips account
Hi what are the first two matching items/pots? I didn't catch that.
Hey man, just a heads up, you had audio overlapping each other for a while there 7:07
How do you tell which system the guitar hero guitars belong to? I have two of them and I can't tell.
Hi Jride. What brand of sunglasses should we be on the lookout for, please? And cases, too? Thank you in advance for your time and patience!
Vogue, Ralph Lauren, Shady Rays, Oakley, Ray-Ban, Coco Chanel, Prada, BVLGARI, Celine, Christian Dior, Gucci, Versace these are some brands I look out for.

I have never seen just a well organized thrift store!! Where are you?
How much were the Madeline dolls at the 13:00 mark? Those can go for decent money, especially new in the box!

What was the brand of the glasses you picked up? You said you sold them on Poshmark. Couldn’t read it - too small. Thanks!!
Will you time stamp that please
If you go too fast I'll switch the video speed to .75. Time is money 😂
This🙌
I did not know you could change video play speed!

metallica cassettes are gold !
Thanks for Gr8 content

Do you pick them up?
I didn’t notice and I’m always looking for scentsy. Thanks for pointing that out!
Thanks for this adding to my list
Thank you
Do you have any advice for people who do not have such loaded thrift stores nearby? Ive tried sourcing on Facebook marketplace which has been doing okay.
This is also my question
On my other channel @jrideflips I have several videos on sourcing outside of thrift stores
Thanks just made my first 2k on ebay. Keep it up@@JridePicks
Yahtzee deluxe at 9 minutes is worth picking up $30+ used $75 new
I know close to nothing about Board games so thank you!
Love these comments learning more and more

U da man!
2 PAC cds and cassettes are good.
There's a Nightmare VHS board game at 9:08 that goes for some good coin
What app does he use too find the prices??
Ebay...he checks eBay for everything
Is the salad thing $300 brand new? Or used?
Used!
You should do a video about all the things you missed based on what others commented on
Does it mean you do not recommend selling golf clubs?
sooo you didn't get any dale earnhardt gear? Do you not like money?
It was all lower end over produced stuff
At the toys there was a Nerf Dog tennis ball launcher. Dose about $20 and great if you have a dog
is this desert industries?
Look for NCAA football 14 , valued $300+ and NCAA football 12,13 are $30+
I found ncaa 13 today😜
Definitely prefer the voice overs. The music and the background chatter are annoying. Thanks for the vids.

you were going to show how to test the guitars without the console...
On toys you have to read the tags
I have never found a guitar hero or rock band guitar that wasn’t defective.
I would go for the Pokemon cards.
Got some double audio around 7 minutes

coffee maker
Thanks for going slower. Never heard of salad master 😮
You forgot to mute original audio at 7:00
Didn’t show how to test the guitars
Why shower heads?? Thanks in advance!
7:10 the audio is so bad lol
Thanks for pointing that out. There was a copy right issue and it got all cut up really weird
voiceover
This by far is one of the most painful videos to watch. Really easy to turn this bad boy off...

What was?
for like 2 minutes you are voiceing over your own voice and can barely understand what either is saying
