My favorite layouts were the Rugby Central N-gage, Dizzy layout, and the Rock Cliffe layout. The Snowy River layout had a wood burning locomotive with a coal tender I found odd. Loved the sound of the full-sized steam engine as always and I would have liked to have seen the miniature steam engine run that was in the opening shots of the Little Bosworth Miniature Railway that was a steam punk looking type locomotive. I didn't notice the coal tender of the wood burner, made me smile. the steam punk, is that the vertical boiler loco, if so a lovely loco, but I didn't catch it running on the day I was there /9it was a two day show).
It was a good exhibition, with layouts of exception quality and detail. Some interesting traders, bought bits from Mac, didn't realise Baz did N gauge, I'll be ordering streets shortly. We were visiting family and decided to take our first granddaughter to her first exhibition and heritage railway. She didn't seem that interested, then she was only 8 weeks old on the Saturday.
8 Weeks is a perfect age to be introduced to model railways and what a great exhibition as well!! Indeed very good and as you said some really lovely layouts . also a distance form my usual area so lot of new models and traders. Anyway many thanks for watching ad taking the time to message.
