Fuck YES!!!
Came here for this
KEWLLLLLLL
IIIIIIIITTTSSSSS STTTTIIIIIIIINNNGGGG
James, 1983: "All right."
James, 1999: "OOOWWWIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHHTT-AGH!!!!"
yeah
The 1999 one sounds way better
@@islanders1329fan eh
@@KyleDesharnais Oh yeah you really feel the adrenaline go through the roof
Gave me chills
Fuck yeah! Jason on lead vocals! He KILLED IT.
Easily the most underrated member of Metallica’s existence.
@@mikeroy5277 Totally
He’s hardcore
nah.. he just ruins the song
@@lanhouse6300 you can spell lan without L
Jason was and still being the best Metallica member. Even out of the band since 2001.

FACTS
💯
Think Kirk has held himself pretty well unless im unaware of lost in showbiz diva shit?
Damn Jason is badass
You're goddamn right
He is a badass and a GOODBASS
H. E. M. Fuck yeah
James kinda yodeled his way through the first verse and then Jason steps up and is ALL fucking business. I love it.
I was wondering if anyone else heard James v1 vocals this way.
James is the man!
Your definition of yodeling is obviously vastly different to mine! Perhaps you could describe James' singing on the KEA album version of Seek as yodeling... but screeching is probably a better descriptor. But that certainly doesn't apply to this Woodstock performance.
*Woodstock 1969:* "Turn on your love light let it shine on me. Let it shine, let it shine, let it" - Grateful Dead
*Woodstock 1999:* "SEEEEEEK AND DESTROY!!!!" - a band that's still not dead
Can’t kill legendary greatness
That actually describes the difference between the two shows… to a T. One was the biggest orgy in the history of mankind, and one ended in fire and mayhem lol
the fact that STING uses this SPECIFIC version though.... phew!
Underrated song sounds way better even with Woodstock quality. Sounds amazing
Yes!!!
60 хич кч
I think your the only one that ever mentioned Sting and Metallica in the same sentence lol
Heard this as a kid and because of Sting this is my absolute favorite version of this song.
THIS IIIIS STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!
🦂
This performance is nearly 20 years old and is still one of the best I've ever heard in my life.
Man Jason was such a great singer for them..
WWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWW! Its the man called Sting!
Dickens Tham ayeee
His best theme
@@C0wboyzfan4life I agree, but it just didn't fit him
@@hammerheadracingmedia3823 love metallica and sting, i think this did suit sting to an extent for the short time he was a heel. i was one of the few that like him heel and while he was most definitely a different/cool kinda heel i personally loved it.
Sting on steroids !!
I love Metallica but I can't help but hear Tony Schiavone and Mike Tenay's commentary in my head while listening to this lol
“ITS STIIIIIIIIIING!!!” 🦂🤘🏼
Why? Are you saying James sounds like tony?
@@FilmThePoliceFTP you didn't get my comment lol

@@ermonski I should. I grew up on wcw and WWF. Can you explain it to me?
Wait a minute! Here comes Sting!!!
Man in the Flannel haha I was waiting to see a comment about sting. Nicely done
Now riddle me this, riddle me that, who's afraid of the big, black bat?
WCW mayhem soundtrack
This is by far my favorite rendition of this song.
Agree 100%
Is that a Les paul Kirk is playing?
@@MrWolfheart111 Yes why?
@@KOBRA96-45 They are unmistakable. Didn't realize that until now.
@@MrWolfheart111 Oh gotcha
I was about 150 yards deep offstage during this song, 10 years old and nothing could have been better, and nothing ever will be -_-
10 months old at the time lol
I was 5 -_-
I was -4 years 9 months 19 days
Never seen a kid in the Woodstock 99 crowd with all the videos I've watched... Especially a little 10 year old. I call bullshit.
I was there too... the best time for me...
0:42 when you’re trying to sneeze but it won’t come out
This was the perfect song for Sting.
All kinds of bass action.
All kinds. Yeaaahh
Jason have a brutal voice!
For real

Man , that Jason was a powerhouse
best seek and destroy performance ever !
RichKruspe JamRoot Live in the metro 1983 is better
1985 was better at the metal hammer festival which wanted me to go back to the 80s so badly
WCW Sting theme song broght me here
I honestly think Metallica was at their best live here. Every single member is on their shit! Jason coming through with some badass singing
1:45 LMFAO ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have had this on gym mix for years. Never knew Jason sang that 2nd part. bad ass
really? you couldn't understand it was not james?
Jason and James sound nothing alike. You're dumb.
Jason brought an entirely other worldly energy to Metallica
4:25 Kirk, catch!
To some Metallica will be with cliff, some Jason and some Robert. I got into Metallica when Jason was in the band. His playing, singing and head banging was outstanding!
To others, Metallica is all three! Actually make that four (Bob Rock was their bassist for a couple of years during the St Anger era).
“From Venice Beach, California, weighing 252 pounds… Sting!”
This is still the best version by far. Love this song.
Two front men... Metallica was pretty good
nah 5 frontmen
Arturo Rocha ok when you can
@@cooperbruhn930 GOT EM!
Joshua Schalesky lmao
I love Jason just as much as anyone, but he was never Metallica's front man. Singing lead vocals for a couple of minutes doesn't make someone the front man. That is and always will be James and James only. Jason was an awesome bassist and provided great backing vocals - indeed great lead vocals too.
This is the very performance that introduced me to Metallica. Seek And Destroy at Woodstock 1999
SAME HERE
@@KOBRA96-45 Sting in WCW?
@@Stormblade02 Yes
@@KOBRA96-45 awesome. Same
Has to be via Sting! This made such an awesome entrance theme. Sting actually picked it himself - Steve has good taste in music!
I reckon this is their best live guitar tone period 🤘
wcw mayhem: the music brought me here.
Yup, Sting's theme throughout the year 2000.
Same here
@@Mattnova_116 also 99 and 2001 (last Monday Nitro)
If Sting ever came out to this song again the roof would come off....
I thought i saw Sting headbanging in the raffters
I just love how fucking metal the cut sequence from 3:50-4:02. Lars drumming so hard he looks like he gonna pass out, Jason headbanging like a crazy lunatic, James standing in front of the amps downpicking like a fucking maniac, and can’t forget my nigga Kirk standing majestically after shredding the fuck outta that guitar.
It's STIIIIIIIIIIIING
i have looked at 20 different live seek and destroys and finally found which one stings was
James and Jason both yell out "Woodstock" a couple of times.
Jason is the definition of badass.
IT'S STIIIIIIINNGGG!!!
3:10 the most metal voice crack of all time. 😂
JASON- "MOTHERFUCKER IS RUNNING"
JAMES-"on a waaaay" (he is laughing)! at 5:14
*"Motherfuckin' runnin'"
*"On Our way"
YU DUMBASS!!!!
Sing it correctically!!!!!

3:09 My favorite part
Jason looks like he's about to fart shrapnel
I wish James would grow his hair out again. 🤘
Matthew Mwangi this was undoubtedly James best year hair wise
Brandon Garvick he looked buff as fuck too.

Sunday will be the last time Sting steps foot in a wrestling ring.
And he ended it with this song! What a farewell!
Sting bought me here again….

I love the James Voice in 1999 kick ass!!!

james has a broken string at 5:57
jaymz the fact he kept playing is amazing
@@PChamileon97 because its highest string and in this song he doesnt need e and b strings xD
Dimebag Darrell broke the headstock off of his guitar and it still played
The speed of guitar change is impressive!
Given the way he kinda beat the shit out of his guitars at that time, it doesn't really shock me. And the fact he just kept going is awesome.
Woodstock 50 would've been 20th anniversary since Metallica this in 99
1999,Cuando todavia eran jóvenes tenian 36 o 37 años , desde que se fue Jason metallica perdió la magia , nada fue igual aunque los sigo escuchando
4:43 i hope lars use that tempo today
1:09 Kirk looks so fucking happy
Love that mega-bass of Jason.
I fucking loved when Jason sang
I wish I could be at least half as manly as Hetfield.
STIIIIIING!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeh
Jason was Metallica, the best bass player and best backing vocals in metal, ever.

@@zondobleYeah but it sucks that cd players and Walkmans are now obsolete lol that’s the problem
Jason ❤
Good concert
Jason did a better james than james lol
Jon Robbin only because the crowd pissed him off from their week "seek and destroy". looks like he signalled to Jason to take over. then he stood in front of the blaring amps probably thinking, "can these mother fucker hear us or what??"
Jason sang Seek and Destroy most of the time while he was with Metallica.
No he didn't!
Anthony Anselmi Jason often sang ’Seek & Destroy’ and ’Whiplash’. James was not at his best here. Only a year before he went to rehab. Metallicas future was really up in the air. Later Jason was kicked from the band.
Loki God of Fire Jason left he didn’t get kicked out and James went to rehab a couple years after this
This is my favorite version of this song
God Metallica killed it 🤘
