Note : Outside temperature is extremely cold in the second video

That blitz nur is where its at.
unfortunately it isn't, its just louder. The prodrive tone is actually better, you have the low rumble then when you are giving it the beans you get this awesome almost shouting sound out of it, the experience of driving it is way better because of the change of sound depending on your rev range, i changed my exhaust from my prodrive one, instantly regretted it as it just made it louder not better.

Laurence Scroggins i agree my mate has the prodrive one on his wagon with sports cat. you only hear a bit of rumble even with windows down cruising about. but soon as it comes on boost the noise sound wicked.. he had a hks one. and it was just to loud even at low revs. so put the prodrive back on.
@@al24121989 I got the Nur and I love it. Personal tastes and all, but I prefer the open throaty sound and volume.
@@al24121989the prodrive sounds more stock whereas the Blitz Nur sounds more like how a Subaru should sound.
Thanks for a good UK compare vid of the two exhausts. It's helped me decide to go with the Pro Drive as the Blitz is way ott. I don't think I could put up with a 250 mile drive with that sort of noise.

No difference in fuel as far as I can tell, seems to rev a lot more freely. Definitely recommend changing from the standard Prodrive exhaust for the sound alone.
@iXetsuei The Prodrive Performance Pack is a £2,000/$3,000 factory upgrade which consists of upgraded ecu, fuel pump, high flow catalyst, exhaust, bhp up from 265 to 305 and 18% more torque, Prodrive recommend upgrading to 18" with PPP fitment hence the 18" Turinis.
I have the oval tip. It has a lovely deep bass rumble and non of the raspyness of the Nur Spec.
@MrTheLightningDark Not smoke is it, its a cold day! Exhaust fumes are warmer than the outside air so rapidly condense.

impreza sti has the best sound ever for a car
Fuck yes...the best sound ever, what an engine tone and for a mid sized 4 door useable family saloon with a big boot and air con, it doesn't get any better than a Subaru Impreza WRX Sti
@rossy24m it's pretty loud! Love the noise so don't mind it, not ideal for a daily driver.

The blitz is just next level, its almost as if the prodrive is not as intense....or worse...sounds stock...
Stock sounds alot worse than that

With the PPP System and The Blitz Nur Spec R System there little different and the sound of this WRX STi is still like the Stock- BOXER Engine ;) !

@rossy24m Don't use super unleaded, I use V Power. I will get about 200 miles on average from about 52 litres.

@s1dnac1t Thanks for the reply. I had a Cobra Sport system on my Impreza when I got it, but I reverted back to a more standard system as I didn't really like the look of the Cobra. I didn't find the Cobra system a problem, but I think the Nur is a bit louder!

Had this on my 55 STI and eventually it drove me insane. Good vid tho - not sure about revving the fk out it cold lol😂

@EliteMadHornet No dyno runs unfortunately. Performance difference wasn't really noticeable.
Beautiful scooby not OTT like some of them fresh looking subaru burble is so hard to beat i love the old school soob's mid 90's cheap fun

@rossy24m I wish it was £40. It costs me about £65 to fill up and i'll get about 200 miles from that.
That car is burning oil.. Now either it is really burning oil or not , the exhaut sound will always sound great..

SO tempted to get a Nur Spec for my Subaru. My car is the same year and currently has a very similar exhaust setup to yours. Do you find the Nur Spec a lot louder on the motorway? Does it render the stereo completely useless?

I have a 03 wrx with ppp is the spec r exhaust noisy inside the car at motorway speed the current prodrive exhaust is fine
@drac0nyx Yeah i agree it sounds better, but it looks horrible, plus it aint that loud, i prefer them louder, my exhaust is loud but when you shut the windows and floor it you can hardly hear it, too much sound deadining in the car.

@rossy24m dont buy one if your concerned about fuel, you'll end up selling it within a week like most.
i have the same car in the vid exept mines is grey, the version 9 blobeye is my favourite shape, mines aint bad on the fuel and it has a 3" decat with a remap and i love flooring it reguarly, the truth is ive never really had a car that averages above 25mpg so im used to it.

Full bills play a mayjor factor. £40 for 200 miles doesnt seem to bad its not far off what im paying and getting now, but £66 like i think il look else where hehe

@jeesingh Sorry I'm from the states and we don't get the PPP version and I couldn't find it on Google, so what are the differences between it and a regular STI?

did you check all the auxillaries etc were good first? and yeah I like the look of the prodrive backbox but the sound of the Blitz system is awesome! I have one on my starlet gt turbo! awesome noise!

Hi mate. Did you need a retune? Allso have a 05 Widetrack PPP STI, with the 2,5" Prodrive exhaust and downpipe with the racecat. Looking at a nur spec exhaust, as it hooks up to the 2,5" downpipe, and i would like a bit more exhaust sound from it. Centersection goes from 2,5" to 3", and a 3" rear muffler, did you need a new ectutek tune?

+Oh Sidhu Well, i asked, that went you got from prodrive to nurspec, as prodrive is 2,5" and nurspec is 2" -> 3", if you needed a retune after the install? Larger piping usually require a new tune? :)
+Jesper M. It's always best to do a remap after any modification, I did all the mods first and then a remap at the end.
i like the dirty version of the car more ... i mean its a pure rally car it needs to be dirty all the time

You still got this car? What's a blob STI like to run as a daily? Had many maintenance/mechanical problems at all during ownership? Looking at a blob wrx or sti as a daily myself.
+James Baker I've now got a black STi widetrack and the car has been great, had some issues regarding the power steering belt but apart from that it's been sweet.
Did you need a remap after fitting the Blitz? I have an 06 STI with PPP (standard otherwise) and I'm considering this exhaust.

Which one had a better performance boost? Did you do some dyno runs to check it out?
When you had the Prodrive exhaust did you have any other mods? i want mys to sound extactly like that i love it!
