The dying phase for the Martians was so well done. That slow, unsteady, almost depressed walk actually made me feel bad for them.

The martins were so insanely well animated, i cant wait to see what's in store for part 6....im also kinda disappointed that the tempest wasn't featured ;-;
Maybe in future! Like you I also want the Tempest, so we'll probably get it made at some point. Main reason we haven't included it yet is to keep the Fighting Machines more relevant, since the Tempest is literally just a beefed up Fighting Machine pretty much.

Ive said it before, but I really believe that y'all could make an insane game in URE5 with the talent used to make all these models, maps, rigging and animations all within the limits of gmod. Also with the chemistry of this group, it'll just be a fun time making the game. Best part is, you don't even have to publicly release the game for money, you can do what you do now just in a better and more optimized engine.

I forsee every adaptation of H.G. Wells' aliens being captured in their full glory with their completely unique apocalyptic vibes, custom sound designs, and visual effects respectively.
And like I said, the best part is being able to see the talent and hard work of such a game being showcased through this group's chemistry and humor even if you never release the game to the public, that would be a gift enough for me as a viewer.
I hope you see this and consider undergoing such a project, again, not to be released, but for the purpose of more freedom with the obviously passionate, creative minds behind these series.
Also If you learn how to make multilayer work, then while you're making the game from the ground up, we can get random shorts of the underfooked team BSing with the unfinished game while is under development.

Most of the crew are currently working on the GelatoDev WotW survival game so our efforts are focused more or less there lol.
I have to say them models for the Jeff Wayne's Martian fighting machines are very well made and animated 😎👍

This series has gone so far and I honestly just can't believe how good this is at this point. The grinder was terrifying and the way that the tripods have different models for different health was very well done. I am just waiting for that 2005 tripod as it will probably be terrifying. Thing is I'm wondering how close to completion it even is. If they have another teaser it BETTER be use the probe. Amazing job on this one. Keep it up and you are probably going to get copyrighted or something for the models being literally too well made because literally every detail is perfect!

It’s hilarious how this goes from like legitimate fear of the martians in your reenactment of some of the scenes from the book. To your more regular good multiplayer shenanigans in the spans of a few minutes

Just how much Martian hardware do you guys have at your disposal? I've seen (in earlier videos) the 1953 "manta ray" machine (with the magnetic legs Dr. Forrester described (and ever so briefly glimpsed in the movie), the 2005 flexing leg version, the "Classics Illustrated" "swim mask" style, of course the Jeff Wayne "plump aphid" walker (along with the handling machines and flyers). About the only styles I didn't catch were the Warwick Goble "water tower" tripods, Frank R. Paul's update to that version or the 1906 "googly eyed" walker with the "rice hat". And I would not be surprised if you had them "in file" as well. I have a passion for fictional Martian tech, so tehse clips are a dream come true!
Thank you! It's been a blast exploring the history of Wells novel and its depictions in the last century while interpreting them in 3d.
We have quite a veriety in our arsenal. Some are still being worked on.
The "TinTin" machine by Edgar P Jacobs was finished some months ago now. The Goble, Frank R Paul, and 1906 Alvim Correa machines are on the list, and yet to make their apperance.
Along with many more designs, some more well known and others very obscure from films, comics and books!

@@reddalek555 Thank you for the reply and a hint of "things to come". (Oops! Wrong novel!) There used to be a web site devoted to "War of the Worlds" book covers. It was insanely comprehensive, presenting photos and/or scans of publications from the very first bound novelization up to the "present" (whatever the "present" was at the time of viewing). It included hardbacks, paperbacks, even comic publications (be they a dedicated volume like "Classics Illustrated" or say a "Superman" issue if he fought Martians or tripods). it also broke down the list in categories, like text with no graphics, color themes, and, of course, depictions of fighting machines. That was the sub-page over which I nearly drooled!
Alas, it seems the owner let the domain fee lapse several years ago so the site eventually vanished. 'Tis a shame as it was a fantastic resource...other than the small resolution of images geared for browsers of the mid 2000s.
Don't worry, I'm not about to beg for the model assets. I've read some scattered post where you've stated they are private. I don't "game", but I do putter with some simple modeling and I render still images using assets I've either made, or downloaded and modified to function in my preferred render suites. So, IF they WERE available, I'd grab them like a starving person at an "all you can eat" buffet. As it is, I'll just fawn over the sequences you and your team have posted.

Yes I know of that website well! Che Zeuz! It's a wonderful repository of WotW history for sure. I was also very dissapointed when the domain was lost, but it still exists. Think he brought it back a year or so ago now, bless him! But still rarely updated. There's still so much to be added!
I wish I thought to save artwork and images that was shared on the original Eve of the War website from 2005 in anticipation of the Spielberg film. There was a plethora of custom creations by fans on there that are now lost to time. Such a waste. Only fragments can be accessed via waybackmachine.
All good. We've had a few close calls of theft that left us fairly protective of our creations. Would hate for things to get leaked before they're used for their intended projects. But I appreciate that you think of the models with such high regard!
It's a mission of mine to model as many as possible for a large showcase. Will probably share some fancy renders of each on Artstation or deviantart etc. when finished.
