Just reverse the installation, remove wire, unbolt and there's probably a little button somewhere to free the part that clicks in

Dif codes. Replace both parts and the engine air filter for the MAF code.

I have a 21 Chevy Malibu that has the exact symptoms with the gas but no code and no engine light to confirm! Please advise

Its really hard to say because for the mechanic to fix the problem, the check engine light have to be on to know the exact problem to diagnose it. It could be other problems not just the gas pedal, could be bad engine mechanical issues, it could be electrical issues.
