  • Unigear sent me a Camfy Trail -1c sleeping bag and their Camfy P3 Air Sleeping Pad to try out. Now Autumn is here I could finally get out and use them on a mountain summit camp in the Brecon Beacons - watch the video to find out how I got on.

    Finally getting to test this gifted sleeping bag and mat and they were luxurious compared to my normal ultra-budget gear! I'm impressed with the quality of this Unigear stuff, what do you think?

    Finally someone reviews a decent looking mat for side sleepers. Thanks Kev. Much appreciated. I'll definitely consider this mat when I upgrade.

      Great stuff. I will see if I can get a discount code from them, I really like the brand and want to use more of their so would be good to get a discount code.

      I was really impressed by the mat. Nice and compact for the bag and huge when inflated. Definitely my most luxurious mat.
      Moment of honesty as well... I couldn't find one of my small tripods in the morning when wanting to set up timelapses... Looked everywhere for it and eventually found it under the sleep mat where my back would have been! I hadn't felt it all night despite sleeping on it!

    Great reviews Kev ...now after 4 months I'm out of my tent and in my shepherd's hut finally can't say I'm not overjoyed it was getting ridiculous in the end !!!

    Hello there. I have two of those mats, they are very comfortable, and very robust. As for the r rating that’s why I have two. Double the r rating and they don’t slip and slide. Great review. The bag looks good, but I have a Naturehike large CW400 winging its 750 FP goose down feathers to me. Not as cheap as I would like but not a mummy shaped bag. Great that gear is being sent to you by companies. Keep up the great conTENT !!!

    • @TheWalkingKev
      @TheWalkingKev  Před rokem +1

      Cheers James. I bet the Naturehike bag is light and compact! The Unigear bag whilst being a mummy bag is huge inside, plenty of room to move about in which I like. Weather is getting colder so will be able to test it in colder weather. Those double mats must be comfy!

    I've got a Unigear hammock and tarp and they're up there as a couple of my favourites 👍

    Hi KEV. Looks a great set of kit, personally i always use a wider mat, and that looks ample. Also great to see a sleeping bag that has left and right zip. Good vid /review as usual, well done my friend. Roast Chicken next vid ? .LOL ATVB .Scott Somerset

    I have this mat. Got it this year and used it on 2 trips in warm weather so can't offer advice on its R rating but I can say that it's a step up in comfort from my self-inflating mat, especially for a very shuffly side/front sleeper like me. The shape stops you falling off the side, and it's thick enough to stop your hips touching the ground. If you're thinking about getting a thinner, narrower 3/4 mat to save weight, I would suggest that you don't (assuming you're not in some race or event). The better night's sleep is worth the small increase in weight/bulk. It's heavier than alternatives such as thermarest neo air, but it's more robust. It's good value, IMHO.

      Cheers for sharing Paul. I felt very comfy on it and it does prevent you rolling off. It feels really good quality so I hope to get a lot of trouble free use out of it.

    A pretty reasonable mat at 900 grams. Looks substantial enough to - I mean robust! Look forward to the cold review. Mark

      @@TheWalkingKev Yeah, it's been warm. But their was a flurry of snow on Pen Y Fan the other week. For sure a white out on top somewhere would be nice.

      Wow, not good. I've used mine a few times now without issue, it's probably my comfiest mat.
