Extra benefit is that if the boy starts dating he will having problems performing in the bedroom as the bed will make a lot of squeaking noise. Good thinking of the parents.
Everyone wants a loft bed until 1) they hit their head on the ceiling, 2) They come home so tired that they consider sleeping on the floor rather than climbing that damn ladder, 3) they nearly break their leg scrambling down the ladder in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
You should have a list of what eket cabinet and drawers you bought and what size of wood.

I have one of those 4x4 Kallax shelves and it‘s so wobbly, I‘d never dare to put a bed on top of it
The better homes and garden are made better. They aren’t filled with paper they are solid.
I have looked on the ikea website and can not find eket drawers, only shelves. Did they discontinue them? Would you have any other suggestions?
