  • The new BMW M4 GT3 is priced at $530,000. An additional Competition Package adds another $55,000. Needless to say, the BMW M4 GT3 is one of the most advanced racing cars ever engineered and built by BMW Motorsport. The car can be raced in the GT Daytona and GT Daytona Pro classes of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
    The P58 M TwinPower Turbo engine in the M4 GT3 is based on the S58 found in the new M4 Competition Coupe. 590 hp and 516 lb-ft - this is the most powerful straight-six engine BMW has installed in a racing car since the days of the BMW M1 Group 5.
    But the M4 GT3 is more than just its engine. The technology inside the cockpit is spectacular and it deserves a video of its own. To learn more about the racing car, we got a private tour behind the scenes with Tom Plucinsky, Head of Department BMW USA Product Communications.

      Whenever someone says they are ugly i wanna slap them! They are gorgeous! Way way better than the normal M4 and makes the car look angry and badass just like good old BMWs. Haven't been the biggest fan of BMW designs in the past years but M4 Competition is such a beauty!

    • @victorreitstatter1705
      @victorreitstatter1705 Před 2 lety +1

      somehow this wouldnt make a lot of sense i believe since the supports that run in front of the wing would be something that disrupt the airflow underneath the wing, in front of the wing and a bit above the wing

    • @michael5455
      @michael5455 Před rokem

      @@victorreitstatter1705 clear bottom means the low pressure being created under the wing is cleaner and less disrupted which makes room for more down force, better to have slight ly disturbed high pressure on top and full clean low pressure below than the other way around for downforce

    1:48 The air coming from the intercooler does not then enter any turbo .... where did this guy escape from ... ?

    • @Ivanoskyao
      @Ivanoskyao Před rokem +2

      You mixing all up. The turbos suck air from outside thru air filters, that air is then directed thru the intercooler which then goes into intake and the engine. That air is compressed when it’s sucked by the turbos, so it gets hot, hot air is less dense so it’s no good for horsepower. So the intercooler are cooling that air with cold air coming thru the grill, that air, which becomes hot from heat exchange, is vented out above the hood because it’s not good to stay in the engine bay.
