    ► THIS VIDEO will review the four medication categories used to treat bronchoconstriction and four medications categories used to treat inflammation in patients with asthma. After watching you will be able to identify the medication category administered to a patient experiencing an extreme asthma attack crisis. Additionally the video will list two examples of short acting beta 2 agonists, four examples of long acting beta 2 agonists, and one example of cholinergic antagonists. Finally, the video will name six examples of inhaled glucocorticoids, three examples of antileukotriene modifiers (oral), and one example of mast cell stabilizers.
    ► THE PROF: Dr. Rhonda Lawes is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), and an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing in Oklahoma, USA. She obtained her PhD in Educational Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2016. Due to her achievements, she has earned numerous teaching awards. She teaches nursing students how to use the science of cognitive learning to maximize their study effectiveness.
