Great information. Love the ring you are wearing. Before 2020, it was so much easier than nowadays. I also didnât spend a lot for my two quota bag. But I know if I want to get one more this year, I may need to spend at least 1:1 . Thank you so much for sharing darling đ

Beautiful bags. I do think the country that you shop in is a big issue as to what âoffersâ are made in the Hermès Gamble, as I like to call it đ and feel that not much stock goes to large countries that arenât densely populated. There are only about 6 stores to serve all Australia and similar in Canada, pretty wealthy nations, so you gotta have deep pockets to get a bag there for Hermès to make as much money as they can in those countries. NYC seems to be one of the best to get lucky in. Cassie Thorpe, the fashion CZcamsr who moved there from the UK mere weeks ago, was offered a mini Kelly with minimal spend. I love hearing peopleâs tales of how they scored their B/K/C, yours was also interesting. Thank you for the transparency.
Yes absolutely, being in NYC offers more opportunities than smaller cities or countries with less stores. Thatâs why I felt it important to mention this point in my video as well. Oh, and I saw Cassieâs mini Kelly too! She seems very happy. đ§Ą
I went to the flagship store in Paris and it was such a horrible experience due to my race I was followed around and when I went to purchase a bracelet I was told they had to call the credit card company to verify the purchase. It was horrible.

Thank you! I never in a million years thought I would own a Birkin and a Kelly.
I don't have the new grey but I have a Birkin in etain (epsom sellier), I'd say etain is closer to etoupe with a hint of grey. In my case, I spent about 1300 EUR (a ring and a scarf) before getting an offer and got the offer after 10 months I expressed my wish (Birkin 30 in etoupe or similar with palladium hardware). The people at the store were lovely!

@@hellocatwalkcity I am currently selling most of my Louisâs and Chanel bags as I am really turned off to what is happening with both these brands. They are both leaving a bad taste. Keeping my classics and will buy more lesser known well made bags. I personally think we are going to see a decline in the âbag collectorâ mentality in the future because of the over saturation. âIâm getting out nowâ! After a while itâs just not as much fun anymore. I want to encourage you to continue to look for those new brands that have a fresh approach to the current market as they provide quality, value and classic style. 'To everything there is a season.' p.s. I had your two bags, gold birkin and gray Kelly, both bought in Europe. I walked into Hermes on the Isle of Capri 7 years ago and bought my first birkin with no history with the brand....so much for jumping thru the hoops! My 25 Kelly was bought in the flagship store in Paris as a walk-in with no appt. Sad to say I sold them both because I wasn't using them so I could buy my husband a watch, which he never wears! So sorry I sold them both!!! Oh well....live and learn. My point is this, buy what you love and enjoy it, either as eye candy or utilitarian. My approach today is this...High Luxury...been there, loved it all at the time of purchase and enjoyed the experience. My feelings now is this: Love luxury that leaves a 'good taste in my mouth, not only for it's history, quality and store experience, but a sense of knowing I will love it long after the new collection releases ( witch will be 2 weeks from my latest purchase)! Classics all the way....but now that I know what good design looks like, great leather feels like, and quality craftsmanship looks like, I am better able to assess a new designer that has those qualities. So....TOP BRANDS BEWARE.... your customers are getting more and more educated each day because of great YOU-TUBERS like this channel. Education is power! Keep up the good work CATWALK....people are watching, learning and hopefully making better choices because of your input!

If Iâm not wrong, I think you were offered the Birkin bag when you went shopping with Charis (LVLOVERCC)đ¤ during her visit to New York City. Do you think she might be part of the reason why you were offered the bag? So many CZcamsrs spent so much money at Hermes but were never offered these bags I really feel bad for them đĽ itâs sad that anyone will want to subject themselves to such âtacticsâ or âgamesâ to get something they really want.
Oh wow, thatâs incorrect. Charis was not even in NYC when I got my Birkin. Iâve had my relationship with my SA well before Charis and I became friends. Thatâs so interesting that you thought this - it couldnât be farther from the truth.

Thank you for sharing your journey. Itâs hard for me to start one as I donât like much of their things. I can agree with you, you just need the right SA. I tend to vibe better with male SAs. And the time I tried at Hermes it was a very bad discriminatory experience, she was horrible. Versus the other SA that was around we were vibing great. If only it would of been him.

Iâm so glad you found the video to be helpful! Indeed, I did share with my SA that my birthday was coming up. I believe many SAs will try to their best to come through especially for a special occasion. Iâm sure it doesnât work every time, but I think Hermès SAs generally try hard to help you celebrate. How functional are these bags?
Theyâre as functional as any other bag but you have to like the designs, right? The Birkin is best left open for easy access, so that may bother some people. If you enjoy carrying bags in the crook-of-your-arm, youâll probably enjoy the Birkin. The Kelly is easier to close up and I do like the strap option to wear it on the shoulder or even crossbody if needed but it wonât be as easy to get in and out of it as the Birkin when left open. Hope that helps!

Last two times I went to Hermes they didnât have any mini Evelyne bags in stock and I was shocked. (My friend was looking to buy one.). My SA said it has been very hard to get any of the smaller/mini bags these days. Hopefully that changes soon!

Thank you for this video. I always thought Hermes was out of reach due to the quota and price, however, with Chanelâs escalating prices, I am contemplating Hermes as my next wish list bag. I purchased the Evelyn PM over the phone with a store in PA back in 2017, because I was literally looking all over for it (I am local to NJ/NYC). Would that âcountâ since I do not have a dedicated SA? I have also made a few online purchases totaling $1300 in 2021. Any advice? Wear your bags in good health! Thank you. â¤ď¸
Iâm no expert but I do think those purchases you mention will be part of your total purchase history. The catch is, when trying to get a quota bag (if you are), youâd have to go through an SA directly. It will be helpful when they pull up your account info that they see a previous purchase history, but there may be an expectation that you make a few purchases with them directly before thereâs any consideration for a quota bag. I think it really depends on the SA though. Iâve heard of people scoring a quota bag the first time they visited a store (in fact, I know two people personally who have had this happen). In the end, I think itâs mostly based on luck! With that being said, good luck! đ

Hi, I mentioned in a followup video that my mom saw the bags and asked to have them. đ One for her, one for my aunt (her sister). So I gifted them. I know my aunt took the backpack with her on a trip to visit her grandkids and she seemed to like it.
Sooo I decided to buy the Parisa Wang backpack since they had a 20% off sale recent. I took it as a sign đ¤ Received the backpack a few days ago and Iâm impressed of the feel and quality. For some reason I imagined it to be a little bigger, but still a good size to take to travel. I tried adjusting the straps to make it longer and it was a bit difficult. Maybe it will get easier as the leather softens over time? My initial thoughts đ

Great question! It all sounds very odd, doesnât it? Technically, there is no official amount you have to spend, but yes, with these limited/quota bags from Hermes, your sales associate needs to offer you one. Some people believe you need to spend a certain amount to get the SAâs attention. You canât just buy one at the store. The ones on display are not for sale. You usually have to make a request and then wait to see if theyâll offer. Hope that makes sense!

Gal, you just got lucky for not spending so much and in the US i believed it is 100% easier since the stocks level are so so much more than any other countries to begin with. I watch many CZcamsrs from the States, their pre-spend are usually not as much too. No way in many countries that do not have so many stores as compared to US. Perhaps it is easier too for you to say you don't like to play the game. No offence. here That is only the truth in US. Thanks for sharing on the cost of the handbag.
No offense taken! I totally agree. As I mentioned in the video, this is my experience shopping in NYC. I have no doubt itâs a lot harder in other cities and also in countries with fewer stores. I can understand why some people choose to fly to Paris specifically for these reasons. As for playing the games, I wouldnât play them no matter where I lived. I just canât stomach spending money on things I donât sincerely want or like, thatâs just me.

You know when i went in to just get a scaft and put in my Wish List just trying my luck, the SA already kind of giving me a hint that i need to buy more in order to be offered saying there are customers putting in their Wish List and after 10 years still waiting.
