- There is no place that has the same energy and vibe you feel in #London. I spent two years immersing myself across all the inner boroughs of London through its famous streets to the well kept secret locations with the only intent to grab a tiny part of the soul of this city and pack it in a video for you.

Not an easy task as its soul is being constantly reshaped as new cultures, arts and trends are emerging everyday.
This is one of the most demanding and challenging projects of my career as I put together more than 6000 video clips captured with several type of cameras and devices in over 2 years. I have squeezed them all into this short film that shows more than 70 London locations.

This should legitimately be used by the UK Tourist board.
It's too good for that.
Absolutely James 👍🇬🇧🏴
Is this London or Africa?
London tourism only. Not UK.
As a Londoner I can safely say this is one of the most amazing representations I have ever seen of the city I call home. It shows the amazing breadth of different people, cultures and stories that this place holds, it's almost overwhelming to watch but that's exactly how London feels at times.
I can also appreciate the amount of time this has been shot over, looking at how the London landscape has changed over the years, this work has taken you a very long time, your patience to create a story is insane. It has shown me different sides of London and I have dreamed to work on a video piece for this city, this has just boosted that dream up a few notches.
Really incredible work, Oliver and I'm sure it will get the recognition it and yourself deserve.
Appreciating your thoughts, many thanks for watching and commenting it!
Hah I thought very much the same, but for all its beauties also captures why I left: it's soooo hectic
Couldn’t of said it better. Proud to be a Londoner and this just encapsulates everything about it. 👌🏾
This is an incredible video, but I feel it should be titled 'London' rather than 'Londoner'. For 90% of the people born and raised in London this video isn't really relatable, too much central London. Coming from a guy who grew up in Kilburn. Amazing photography and editing though, I do appreciate artistic value of the video.
That only proves how the amazingness of this city is indefinite. Also Hampstead is missing, the ponds etc, Camden town and so on
This was crazy good my friend, summed up my excitement with living here in 6 minutes
HEY ZAC AND JAY
ZAC AND JAY! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
Omg I just watched your video a second ago!
Few times in CZcams history has there ever been anything more deserving of a like
Is this London or Africa?
Blink and you miss an hour of production time! Amazing man, so smooth 🙌🏻
Disclaimer. The commute to work as a londoner is not this epic.
😂😂 Love it!
I wish you could see how is commuting to work looks like in other countries 😅
😂😂😂😂
It is sometimes
Have you taken the Northern line at 8am or even 7? Didn't think so.
5 years later, still a classic. refreshing.
central london is my home 4 life. my heart is left here.
Love the mood, especially the last few minutes. Glad you finally got this one done! So many different locations and scenes woven together
Thanks man! It was great to have captured some scenes together ;)
Brandon !!!!!
@@OliverAstrologo Will you ever do one video in Andalusia (south of Spain, the land of flamenco). I think it could be beautiful 😊
Lisandro Rodriguez ¿y por donde andas usted?
I know right!
Everything was good until the last moment, us Londoners are not that friendly on the Tube. 😂
I think there's a law.....if you talk to a stranger on the tube , you get arrested for being weird!!!
@@jonlong42 ):
jonlong42 They didn’t speak, so all is well.
Maybe not on on the Tube, but definitely on the CZcams.... hehehe!
Northern/Jubilee line are too symbolised. Perhaps more focus on central and Victoria lines - they have heavy usage as well
This was a really well made video, but it makes me feel a little uncomfortable.
I don't want to give unnecessary criticism because it is a great piece of editing, however as someone who grew up in London, a lot seems to be missed when people think of what this city is like.
There is an absence of any council estate, of any school - no Chicken shop, greasy spoon, bus stop or Kebab shop. I think for me, this video fails to show that London is somewhere that people grow up in - many of whom are working class. I also think that it is interesting that this video shows why London is such an amazing city - but for a lot of people that grew up in London, much of what is highlighted here is just not a part of their experience. This is I think most obvious when the video contains mostly young professional 20-30 somethings in the city being filmed as the ones experiencing - where those that are not in that category are something to be 'experienced' - an aspect of the eccentric or different that entertains those that come to visit, stay, work - and eventually leave.
I didn't want to be so negative - sorry :) I think it just kind of hit a note with me and made me reflect that a lot of what I think makes London so interesting is the mix of cultures, but diversity is lost when age and class factor in to what is visible. It was a really well made video and I look forward to checking out your other content.

Wait for part two maybe?
I guess the first video needs to catch the right attention, and as you see it is already at 200K, which compared to his average videos have quite well delivered. Perhaps and probably, since he wrote himself he lives in London, a part 2 will come?
Revolutionary Squared completely agree man, growing up in Enfield my whole life this videodidnt really hit me, I couldn’t relate to it because it wasn’t MY London experience, same as many hundreds of thousands of other Londoners .
I agree - this is an outsiders view of London, based on tourist hotspots. Yet, I guess it may capture why so many young people from around the world come here. Good points.
Couldn't have said it any better. The video lacks the true meaning of London, not the typical City of London tourist experience.
@@hectorsturgis2409 I live in enfield too, This video is just central london
When your're tired of London, your're tired of life. A very nice work of art btw. Well done.
When you're tired of London you get out and realise how much of life you've been missing living in such a shithole.
Hashterix London is one of the greatest cities in the world. There are so many places to eat that you could eat out every night for your entire life and there would still be plenty of places left over. It is a hub of research, multiculturalism, tradition, entertainment, and talent. I’m so lucky to live here.
@@harrietjones1409 yes and you have to pay through your nose if you actually want to enjoy any of it. If you aren't a trust fund baby then you'll never be able to afford to buy a place to live unless you live for years like a pauper, the other option is rent and never save enough to be self sufficient when you've decided it's time to stop working full time.
Hashterix it is bloody expensive I’ll admit! I live in ‘greater’ London so I get the best of both worlds I guess!
@@harrietjones1409 even greater London is 5x more expensive than most of the UK
This is what London looks like, if you’re a tourist
Or middle class with wealthy parents and an art degree..........
Its all very zone 1 and cliched, showing some of regeneration areas would have been nice. Mind you, you can’t really make a video showing off the crap like Harlesden, South Tottenham, Clapton or south of the river in Walworth or Rye Lane..wouldn’t be much to see.
That is what London looks if you don't take it for granted.
@@thewomble1509 really? that is partially what I see every single day when i go to work. He captured the spirit of london very well and this portrait is very accurate. I don't have wealthy parents nor an art degree :) and...what did you expect to be portraited? the shopping center of elephant and castle or the charming whitechapel?
@Joe Castiglione yes that true
This is a beautiful, breathtaking piece of work. It really encapsulates, as you set out to, the soul of the city, and any Londoner will watch with a swelling of pride. Well done.
In all my time on the internet I have NEVER found something as thoughtful, as heartfelt, and as moving as what you created here. Wow. Just... Wow. Thank you!
This video deserves sooo much more attention... hope somehow the CZcams algorithm shows this video to more people... fascinating editing, showing the beauty of London... and the reason why I chose to stay in this city..based on a decision I made when I came here on a school trip..and now 5 years later.. living in this stressful yet so beautiful city
I just watched it for the 5th time. Oliver there are simply no words to describe the way you create a masterpiece every time you grab your camera and then edit it. Amazing video!!
Best mix of Modern and Classic LONDON
Tears drop when I watch this, I miss london soooo much
The countdown made me teary-eyed. Such nostalgia.
Born and raised in London. My favourite place to be.
I've been a Londoner 30 years and this film made me a bit emotional about my city and the challenges it faces in the coming years.
Fantastic work.
This absolutely incredible and impossible to hope to remake without at least a hundreds of hours in front of us,thank you and well done, I can feel the emotions several times viewing in loop
Ppl deliberately try and put London down and show bad things but u have shown what London rly is and I love it
I recently relocated to London and I have been exploring and getting to know more about the city. This was everything for me!!!! I didn't blink or get distracted by anything. This was phenomenal to watch. wow!!!!! ❤️❤️Thank you for making this.
I nearly cried while watching , the city of great contrast, anxious and beauty. Thank you for your work, love and respect from Russia
This was amazing. As a Londoner it highlights exactly why I think London is one of the greatest cities in the world. You left pretty much no stone unturned with regards to things to see and do. "When a man is bored of London, he is bored of life."
Man, I first watched this video last year, right after spending three months in London. Then I came to watch it again today, and guess what: eyes fixed for 6 min. Mindblowing. Thank you for sharing this!
oh wow. Got goosebumps!... and miss London EVEN MORE than before... such beautiful work. Congratulations!!!
Hi
Hallo
Only Londoners Will understand how powerful this video is. Heartbreaking for some.
😉😓
Why would it be heartbreaking?
I am a Londoner and feel bored by this not heartbroken.
@Niels Daell how???
Niels Daell lol I know but where is cool and exciting these days?
The greatest city on Earth. There is NO other city on our planet which can capture ALL the elements this video displays.
your video is the most amazing video I've ever seen of London and your editing, images, everything! I am from Brazil but I love London with all my heart! You are incredible!!! Thanks for sharing this art of yours with us, Oliver!
This literally put tears in my eyes. Well done this is just one of the best videos which I saw.❤️ This make me think how much I still need to see of this city.
I can't have enough of watching this video! Could you make a video about your editing and filming techniques? Your video transitions are incredible! Cheers!
Vida de ImigranTche He has a team and a professional company
Go and watch Casey Neistat 😉
Daniel don’t get me wrong, Casey is amazing but he doesn’t really do transitions, cinematinc videos etc. you could better watch Peter Mc Kinnon
Guus Verschuuren Casey Neistat is amazing but his style is very much fitting off the content he makes - vlogs. His filming techniques are raw and rough and that makes for beauty in his work. But this video is a great example of what can be achieved with a camera. Breathtaking images and great editing skills to piece this all together so cleanly
London and it's people are truly spectacular.
the rides and happy new year part touched me because ive expirenced both
First I had a negative outlook but at the end of the video it exhilarated me to go to London and experience the hectic lifestyle but also the opportunity it brings. One word... amazing!

This video is a work of art. I’ve shared it on my Facebook. I am a Londoner, born and bred and I am proud to come from this unique, wonderful city. Thank you for making this video, Oliver.
lived here all my life. Millions of people try to capture the excitement yet raw nature of living with in a place like London. It hadn’t been done, until now.
As a semi-photographer and amateur videographer, I want to comment about the thumbs up / thumbs down folks. This is a true piece of art. The amount of time, energy, and talent that must have gone into it is astronomical. Yet someone seeing this has the audacity to give it a thumbs down?!? How about not click anything! Social media is sooooo weird at times.
vancouver57 why is it? I thumbed down. I live in London and that’s my everyday life. This is boring as hell and clearly no edit made it better or more interesting. I am a photographer not all of my work is enjoyed by everyone and I get it.
It’s a good piece of work but big point for me is lack of representation of let’s say ppl that can’t afford to live everything that is shown in this vid. I think „London“ as a title is simply misleading
There is literally no words for this, left me speechless.
The essence of Londoners. What a stunning work of art. Thank you on behalf of Londoners and London. #Londinium
Love this city. Love everything and everyone in it. You get food from all around the world, cultures, people and many more. Greatest city on earth.
You have not even been there Dear.
This is stunning! Love the colour, the transitions, the sound design. Amazing!
What a video. Iv been living in London and this defo captures its best side. Would've loved to see more of the inner south and east London areas like Brick Lane Sunday Market, Stratford Westfield, Green Street Upton Park Lane, Streatham, Islington, some of the football stadiums etc. Keep up the good work. Would love to see another one please. U deserve some sort of an award for this.
London, the best place in the world, I am so lucky to live here, and to be a proud Londoner, fantastic video, love it xxx
London is a drug, the need to feel its energy is overwhelming- it takes you on an emotional roller-coaster and never lets you forget that feeling when you thought "I feel free here"
Stunning. Absolutely beautiful. What a great city, and you captured it so well. I'm in awe.
Wow! Sickest cinematic I have seen in a while, serous congrats. You killed it :)
George Dance Casey Neistat does it better 😏
Daniel no he doesn’t
As a jaded Londoner of 20 years, I approached this video with skepticism. However, it is really good - and I'm surprised it hasn't got more views yet! Well done Oliver!
The speed of life cant be imagined unless you move to London. I love my beautiful city. #Proudlondoner
Wow, that just gave me a goosebumps. This kind of art is stimulate for traveling.🙌
The sound work on this is incredible mate, seriously one of the best videos Ive seen in a long time!
The essence of London captured beautifully
Well put together bird’s eye view of London which is not old & ugly.
If you don’t know, know you know.
When one is tired of London, it’s time to move on. But if you truly know how to explore, you can’t get tired of it.
Like all big major cities, it has its ups & downs.
London, there for the taking.
Looking forward to more great portrayals.
I’ve never made a video this dope. Pretty intricate with all your movements...I feel like I traveled the world in this single video in London. You captured so many cultural flavors from the city.
As a Londoner, I think this might be the best video I've ever watched on CZcams. Great work
Totally agree
I love London more and more every minute.

Magnificent! Thank you for the film, there's so much love there!
This video tingled every one of my senses I’ve experienced there
One of the most effective and beautiful videos on London 🙏☺️😁♥️
Watched this during the Big Lock-Down. It made me cry. I miss living London almost as much as my family. Almost. Thank you.
Absolutely breathtaking. We visit London in a few months and cannot wait! Thanks for getting us super hyped!
Rhett and Claire watch out for the wannabe teenage ' gangsters ' , you impersonate the ' gangster ' language with embarrassing neglect lol .
hehe
its the worlds best city
I can't even imagine amount of footage and effort used to make this amazing piece of cinematic art! Well well done mate!
I hardly comment on videos or even like but this needs to be said. Your videos are truly exceptional. I feel like I've travelled the world ☺️. Thankyou so much for your great work! 👏🏼✌🏽
This is just brilliant! You truly have captured the spirit of London and its people. 😊
Bro this is insane!!! Thanks for making my city so beautiful!
Jay Palfrey proud of Londoners
Brilliant cinematography.
I don't think this was London in its entirety, this is Central London. If anything, Londoners - other than the wealthy or those who work in central - probably wouldn't choose to indulge in the Central London atmosphere. London city is vast, vibrant, diverse and eclectic. From Chelsea to Upton park, from Brixton to Islington. That's all London - it's unfortunate this wasn't captured but once again, it looks brilliant visually.
Chelsea to eastham. Eastham is part of london borough of newham

P.S to remain into the UK if Brexit happens you just have to pay 50£ for a temporary residency and another 50 quid after 5 years for a permanent one.
So you want him to show the deprived parts of London, even though this a promotional stock video that he is trying to sell commercially.
Why don’t you take yourself of social media and focus religiously on your goals so that you may view a city in the perspective of the minority. As a opposed to wasting useful energy on something that doesn’t concern you in the slightest.
Trust it’s just showing central London the nicer and richer side of London lol 😂 I’m from East London bruh I think I’m living in the slum area same goes for South east London 😂
It's hard for me to describe the feeling I have, living in this amazing city. No pictures, no videos could ever tell the story accurately, but you definitely did it. The best 6 minutes I've ever spent on CZcams. Thanks for the amazing cinematography and story telling.

Was waiting for the rave culture/festivals and thought it wasn’t coming. I see you sis
Seriously impressive. Must’ve taken you ages to shoot and edit. Proud to be a Londoner. 👍👍
The video is shot beautifully, the sceneries you were able to capture were breathtaking and the time you must have spent on this must have been the greatest, there’s no doubt in that and I truly appreciate this! As a northwest Londoner, I would have appreciated to see an image of younger generations. As a university student now, there were moments and memories as a high schooler that no one will take away from me! I wish I could’ve given you those moments so you could have recreate them because I am sure a lot of us can certainly recall and relate to these. Schools in London may seem messy to others but the variety of students they hold is a huge part of my London high school experience. Otherwise, amazing work, I honestly could have never lmao!
