The beauty of Bach's Music! Anybody who's listening to this while driving a four wheeler can tell you!!! THIS IS GOOD RIDING MUSIC!!! I've done it! I've literally played Bach's music while driving a four wheeler, all the while connected to my ventilator!! The memories of two years ago are brought back to me by listening to this music! The morning where I road with my friend Bostyn, while playing Bach Minuets. And also playing BWV Anh 183. And then a little while later, I drove a four wheeler for the first time in my life. I'm legally blind, but I'll tell you. With the help of soothing music by Bach, and a friend's direction, you can get ANYWHEREon a four wheeler, blind or sighted. I did it in 2021.

I have been studying piano for a good part of a year now. My most recent assignment is the little note book. Not especially difficult pieces for a student ...but the refinement of the pieces is something, I think, could go on forever. Genius in their simplicity and understated elegance.

I learned how to play piano playing these perfect gems. This is so lovely. I dreamed of this being done someday. Thank you Ana! These pieces are terribly underrated. I used to play them at my gigs and people would tip me in thanks and then one complaint from a classical snob made it so I was NOT ALLOWED to play the "student etudes" in public anymore. I stopped playing them after awhile. I love them.
I once played my whole Anna Magdelena Bach set at the home of a woman who lived with a professional studio pianist who knew how to play some of the most advanced keyboard music of all and she was completely won over by the sheer clear balance of each "easy" piece until she wanted her husband to hear me play so that I would influence his playing from then on. She knew I would add a tenderness to his playing that it lacked at the time. He hated hearing me play my easy Bach trivia, but he noticed his wife's attentiveness and I'm sure those tender little Bach notes caressed his soul forever after that. She had given me a massage and a colonic. And my healing crystal. This was a spiritual, healing session. I was a customer. But, she had a piano in her "office"(her home business), so after my session I played my "baby Bach pieces" and she was, spoiled as she was, completely mesmerized by the music. How could such simple music be so affecting? It is the simplicity - Bach being kind to his students - that makes these pieces so great.

Rin Eric these arnt even student etudes there just transcriptions of popular pieces from the time, people need to lay of and let the player play

I am quite disappointed with the recitative and aria "Schlummert ein" as presented here. All I hear is sort of a realization of a figured bass. Bach's exquisitely beautiful aria melody is entirely missing.

Does anyone have the recording of part 122 to 125 (Marche, Polonaise, Marche, Polonaise) for viola da gamba, triple harp and lute? I have it on CD, given to me by a kind and lovely student of mine from Japan, but since it has been over 10 years, I have forgotten her name and lost any contact.
All the pieces are great and unique.
