This was really good- my heart hurts so bad to see Oikawa’s and Hinata’s stupid parents be so... Inconsiderate to THEIR own sons.
Also to any of those who relate to this, make sure to remember YOUR safety (Mentally or Physically) is of most important. I’d always recommend to find some sort of safe house whenever you’re thinking of coming out or just when you’ve started to understand yourself. I wish you luck too!

Omg my mom said that when I came out as bisexual, she also said “let’s talk about this when you’re older and more mature ok?” I cried in my room later that day and I came out to my friends and told them about it, they accepted me, and I’m actually way more open about my sexuality. I actually have a crush on this one girl she is so pretty🥰

Honestly, parents can suck sometimes. I personally am not gay (I'm actually demisexual/demiromantic) but I have a lot of friends who are. My mom is kinda more like Oikawa's mom in this than Hinata's mom in this just because of the whole "phase" thing. She's not supportive per se but she's not homophobic either. She is kinda confusing to me ngl. Like at one point my friend who's a year older asked for advice on how to drops hints and stuff like that because I'm good at giving advice even though I've never been in a relationship or had a crush on anyone myself (well not real people anyway lol). So I decided to double-check with my mom to see if the advice was good or if she had anything to add to it. I told my mom about my friend being gay (I asked my friend if I could) and after that point, my mom got a bit odd. She wasn't rude to my friend's face but I found this note to our psychiatrist about things she wanted to talk about and one of them was about my friend and how my mom found her weird for many different reasons and didn't want me hanging out with her as much because she's a "bad influence" one me. I confronted my mom about this and we started yelling at each other and I asked my mom why she didn't like my friend and my mom called her a dyke. I tried to get my mom to take it back and she didn't. Other stuff happened as well post-argument but I don;\'t feel like typing everything. But whenever I talk about the LGBTQ+ community she just sort of, dismisses it...? She's always said that she's neutral about her feelings regarding the LGBTQ+ community but idk. I'm scared to tell her that any of my other friends are gay (even if they allow me to) in case this happens again. She's supportive of my sexuality but is it because I'm still straight or not? I mean she knows about my ships and doesn't care, we watched Yuri On Ice! and she didn't care, 4-5 of my cousins are gay and she doesn't care, like what the heck I'm so confused. Anyway, I just kinda felt like ranting lol but if you have any thoughts on this that'd be great!

... Do you want to be with your parents? I mean, some have a bad time and dont care if they are separated and of course it can be hard but i think you dont need hate or hiding in your life, you need people who love you. Sometimes these are not your parents.
it had nothing to do with my sexuality or homophobia, so i dont got through this, but as i turned 17 or 18 i moved out because i couldnt stay any longer with my mum, knowing or at least i was ok to never talk to my mother again. After a few month my mother changed completely, she texted a lot, met me, cried, we talked and now we are good and i got to love her again ... separation and patience helped us both growing up. I mean this was just how it turned out for me and couldve turn out completly different. but if she wouldnt care for me or accept me the way i am, i knew i wouldnt want her in my life. So maybe when you are old enough, have an alternate living space or a safe house and money and dont need your parents around, in case they are not understanding, then you could try i guess. I mean you know your parents best and have to consider all options. i hope at some point, theyll understand and love you like it should be (maybe it takes time for them to overcome this ancient 'opinion', i mean theyve been raised and grow up differently and maybe they have to do research or stuff or need help). As long as you know you are alright, deserve to live your own life by your choice and be yourself. ... And sorry about the long text.
