I to have thought of ending my life several times or wishing I no longer was alive, but my fear of pain puts a halt to that idea fast lol, and not everyday is a bad day. its just when the hard/dark days do come, some are harder to deal with then others.

He also doesn’t mention that the “chemical model” has been disproven, or that SSRIs don’t perform that much better than placebo.

The problem with this model is that it treats depression like a hiccup in the nervous system, and not stemming from something deeper in the individual’s life. But mental illness, depression, is much more complicated than a faulty writing issue, or a chemical imbalance.
