Good Morning RV Review Crew! What a week of highs and lows! I won a fancy GRIP6 belt which was the highpoint of the week! Then, with 2 weeks until my retirement, I had to have impromptu root canal surgery (tooth 30) on Thursday. I was eating some kettle chips Saturday and noticed a tingle in my lower right jaw. By Sunday that had turned to hot and cold sensitivity plus pressure sensitivity. By Thursday I was in full-blown pain mode and hightailed it to the endodontist for a root canal. A few lessons learned from this experience: 1. If you want to lose 10 pounds in a hurry, get strapped to an endodontist’s chair for over an hour getting a root canal on an infected tooth 2. Don’t eat kettle chips 3. DO NOT have a beer with painkillers! I was MISERABLE! But found comfort when I got home that Matt & Andrea had posted a video review of the Class-C Nexus 27V for me to enjoy. Through my pain-killer induced haze I made some notes and observations to submit for everyone’s review and approval (or disapproval)! First off, I fail to see the value proposition of this motorhome. I’ll explain this in detail at the end of my comments. So, here we go now: In this coach I like: +The woodwork (cabinets, cupboards) was nice, I like the variable colors in the cabinetry build. However, at least in the pantry, please put 1” lips on the front of the shelves to keep things which shifted during transit from falling out when the pantry door is opened (this would be great for all shelves in all cabinets) - looks like medicine cabinet shelves do have this feature +The awning is the full length of the coach - terrific (but not armless - BOO) +The paint job is top notch! +House-batteries on slide out tray, nice touch +Slides-in accessibility is terrific Now for things that I did not care for, or I have questions about: -Why do the TVs not have sound bars? Let’s make that standard going forward. If the TV sound plays through internal and external speakers, then my apologies! That is probably good enough - if good-enough is the target Nexus is shooting for -Power Cord management - that compartment was messy and cramped. -Why not go the extra step and put slam latches on the exterior doors vs. the twisties? -No frameless windows, if the VIPER is the top of the line coach from Nexus, that is just SAD. There’s no excuse for cheaping out on the windows -What is the point of theater seats when you don’t face the entertainment center? What is the point of the living-area TV if you can’t watch it from any main living-are seats? Doesn’t make sense -Accordion door? Pocket door please Now about the value proposition of this motorhome. As Matt mentioned there is no Class B+ motorhome category. This is really a [stripped-down] Class-C coach. This coach will [probably] get 8-10 MPG just like a regular Class-C. So: -Why no bunk over the cab? That’s the only viable place to sleep guests in a motorhome but the 27V has an entertainment center which doesn’t even face where coach occupants would be relaxing. Doesn’t make sense. -Who is this motorhome aimed at for marketing purposes, what is the demographic? Folks who are concerned about a full C-Class motorhome, but a B is too small, so Nexus is attempting to create a new market category? I don’t get it and if I were a betting-man, I don’t see this product as being viable over time. -It’s not even on the new chassis the F53-V8? This is a premium-priced coach, but the features just don’t add up. No sound bar, no V8, all technology from years ago -Price - and herein lies the main value-proposition question. Why would you purchase this coach when you could but a Jayhawk or Entegra 27U with all the nice drivability features for less? Why would you fork over $99,000 when you could get the Jayhawk or Entegra 27U for $79,900 or $87,900 respectively (based on a scan or RV Trader this morning)? I know Matt digs the construction on these rigs, but I still fail to see the value-prop of this coach. That said, I was totally sick last night from pain meds, but do feel better today and hope this doesn’t come across as overly harsh. Still waiting on my belt Matt!
I really like this RV! It looks like one I wouldn't be scared to drive. Love the theater seats, would prefer ones that aren't so bulky looking. Appreciate the outside storage and how they open. Next time attach to slides so you can easily get to them when slides are out. If wishes were horses ...I wish that the tv was hidden in a gas fireplace/ cabinet straight across from the Theater seats. ...king bed in back or 2 xl adjustable twins. ...drop down by steps for safety when traveling with pets. ...option above cab, small built in pet kennels with airline window option (close if necessary). ...clothing bar in shower to hang clothes. ...Shower floor to be a small tub, grandkids or pets to bathe. ...drop down extra countertop by sink. ...Litter box accessible from outside to clean and cat can get in it from the inside of RV. Matt, you did a review and showed a huge back "garage" with raised bed inside and showed this exact concept. Brilliant!!! ...I prefer the hidden hinge, pop up domed cabinets with gloss finish...the cabinets look dated. Question? Why put in windows by sink when you cant see out of them? Add more skylights with fans or small windows above entry doors, raised above toilet...

Wow. Finally theatre seating that actually reclines. I love that kitchen and having all the extra beautiful cabinets over the cab is awesome. Just needs washer dryer.
Love the bathroom sink, the abundant bedroom cabinets, the ability to make the bed and NOT have it fold Do not like gas tank fill uncovered, no locking cabinets, and biggest thing was its a Ford. We truly enjoy your videos.. And I have not figured out how you jump so high..lol And finally...HI ANDREA!!!
Me and my family have a routine where we sit and watch Matt’s new video every time he uploads, we never miss it. We just loves Matt’s enthusiasm, and Andrea too of course :) it would be insane if I could surprise my dad with a belt, especially since Father’s Day is soon!
Likes: No bunk over the cab - the entertainment centre is great, no big deal to install a swivel arm for the TV Rather short size of the unit Theater seats look very comfortable Dislikes: Interior looks very dated - they definitely need to update this No table for eating - at least they should have thought of a removable table No nightstands Overall I like the Nexus products, but they urgently need to update the interior Thank you for the good review and have a great time!!!
Theatre seating is pointless if the TV is not at a comfortable viewing angle. When potential buyers say they prefer theatre seating, RV manufacturers should understand that tv viewing angle and theatre seating go hand-in-hand. Matt has made this abundantly clear in his video reviews.
I might take out the beautiful chair behind the passenger seat for a cupboard that houses jackets, boots, flashlights, etc. Also, I'd use the wardrobe cupboard for a combo washer/dryer! Thanks for the review!

I'm still looking for the video when Matt starts with "Welcome back to another video, I'm pretty unexcited and bored today..." ;) Likes: 1. Love the easily accessible shutoff valves on your hot and cold water. 2. Love the plush furniture. 3. Love the shorter length, makes parking and moving the coach much easier. Dislikes: 1. Hate the cheap latches on the exterior storage doors. 2. Hate the TV position, even with the swivel. 3. Hate the lack of locking drawers.
I work for nexus I have some insight and behind the scenes . Things I could add . But I like working there. The units numbers are low that adds to the quality. I worked for every other shop too. 9 yrs. But this has got to be my fav

Three things I don’t like....the accordion door-could have been a pocket door, I would love a couple of holes in the floor in front of the theater seating for small tables--where would I play cards at night, and no ladder. Theee things I like are....the extra recliner, the fridge, and the theater seats. This one reminds me of the one my dad had back in the 90’s, it brings back some memories.
Love the theater seating in this. We need to switch our sofa to that. Also, I understand their are limited options but the tv placement in most RV’s are horrible. Not sure what they are thinking sometimes. Just like this coach has we love having a #convectionoven in ours. Not having a traditional oven frees up so much space for drawers. I’d rather have some two tone colors, like taupe/khaki/white. Subtle, not loud and obnoxious. Too often they make them look like we all just left our double wide home and hit the road. I do not like tacky.

I have been looking to upgrade my Lexington and haven't seen a floor plan until you showed this one. My 3 dislikes outside tv (wish it was a outside kitchen instead)theater seating and the water hookup area. 3 thing I love the slides in and you can walk to the fridge, the fridge, no bunk over the cab.

Such a cute pup! Wow, congrats on the weight loss, Matt! Godzilla!!! Very attractive appearance with Azdel, we appreciate that it has the side and back up cameras. Great awning for plenty of shade. Some small pass through storage and enclosed tank controls. I agree, just how are you going to unlock that storage door? It’s a very nice decor when you step inside, with the theater seats (wouldn’t want to get out of them as they look so comfy), with air ducting throughout. Flexible shelving in the galley is appreciated, very handy. No counter prep space. Like the power tower. Drawers in the sleeping area are good and several windows give it natural light and ventilation. Small bath, but it’s a small motor home. My feet would swing. Dislikes are lack of counter space, since there isn’t a dinette area there’s no other option for extra space, and the bathroom. Think it’s very nice for the price, but for one or two people traveling. Thank you guys, for the tour.

Because there is no dinette why there is a kitchen? I would love it more if there is a counter top from the outside, an open kitchen that connect to the outside. 2. I would like it more if it a folded bed. I forgot which RV I have seen from your video, but I like the one with the sofa underneath and kind of like a wall behind. I saw that unit at the Tampa show with you Matt 😊 we liked that coach and still do. I’d say it’s still in the running. Anyway..... I like the layout and no fold bed. I like the theater seats. I like the battery tray on a slide. No ladder No mention of solar. Toilet is a little tight also. Still a great coach and appears well built.
my first dislike is how messy the outdoor cord is and the t.v does not move, and how close the bed is to the drawer. what i love is the colors inside i love the seating i don't eat at a table anyway and i love the bathroom sink. thank you for how you do your shows my husband and i are looking at buying in a few years so we watch to learn.
You had me with the reclining theater seats because the backs are high enough to support your head-a lot of “recliners” in RV’s don’t have head support. BUT I’m still not in love with the TV placement.
Yes I agree, you two complement each other nicely! I did not like the accordion door separating the bedroom nor did I like the tightness of the bedroom itself my third. My third dislike is if you had tried to shut that bathroom door or you definitely would not found it comfortable. Matt, Aundrea, I'm suffering from covid-19 belly over belt syndrome and need #microwave convection oven or a new belt to support the rest of my America physique!
In answer to a question you had in another video, "what do you call the kitchen faucet". Here is one answer "is retractable spout, with a flexible pull-down wand". Don't like the idea of no ladder and no eating space. As per the layout drawing you can get a table less the recliners. Overall it seems a little tight for me.
So happy to see convection ovens in these. It just makes sense. That said, I think I'd save $20,000, buy the 2020 model, and get the oven replaced. I can scrape up the $995 if someone wants to give me $79000. :D
Love the RV my big complaint is lack of outside storage. We actually took one for a test drive and loved everything but lack of storage. Now looking at small class A's. As always great review
I like the theater seating, no bunk overhead and vessel sink in bathroom. I dislike outside storage (not enough), shower size and minimal counter space.

I wish they would include a slide-out counter portion in the kitchen counter, update the TV swivel, include a movable table with the theatre seating, and update the interior and exterior. Todays' market does not like the loud exterior that says, CAMPER VAN. Just a thought.

D: bedroom a bit too much of a tight squeeze (we rented a 28' Majestic in 2011, and the co-pilots complaint was the room space and how to make the bed along with the crawling around in the middle of the night for the potty run); accordion door (although with no other sleep-space who are you seeking privacy from.); the sloppy bay with the power cord; exposed water inlets (maybe make the ext. shower space a bit larger and place inside there). Stay safe and cool you two. 😷😷😷😷

I like your 89,995 sale price better lol. As I’ve done my research, nexus does build some solid coaches. But the interior besides the theater seats and convection microwave, does remind me of grandmas house. All in all, I can definitely solo full time in this thing.

Are we a little giddy over the 50K subscribers??? LOL. Would be nice if they put a flip up tables on the chairs. Since they don't have a dinette(and I am OK with that), that would be a good option so you can sit and eat watching TV. A flip up counterspace next to the sink would be an easy way to add space in the kitchen. Nice sized bathroom. Nice storage inside. I agree with Andrea I don't like the cabinet color. #convectionoven

Matt please take us for a ride in a V10 E450 and also a V8 E450 comparing the two. I'd love to see the difference in ride, handling, power, and engine noise. Dislikes: - Dated, busy decals/graphics on the over cab. - Needs three point belts in the coach. - Interior looks dated. Maybe not for my parents but no way someone in their 30's - 40's (which seems like a growing demographic) will think the interior is up to date. Likes: - Paint quality looks great. - Theater seating. - Nexus no longer direct from factory only. #convectionoven

Me and my family have a routine where we sit and watch Matt’s new video every time he uploads, we never miss it. We just loves Matt’s enthusiasm, and Andrea too of course :) it would be insane if I could surprise my dad with a belt, especially since Father’s Day is soon!

No bunk over the cab - the entertainment centre is great, no big deal to install a swivel arm for the TV

Interior looks very dated - they definitely need to update this
No table for eating - at least they should have thought of a removable table
No nightstands
Overall I like the Nexus products, but they urgently need to update the interior

I love the entertainment center over the cab, and the recliners.
Theatre seating is pointless if the TV is not at a comfortable viewing angle. When potential buyers say they prefer theatre seating, RV manufacturers should understand that tv viewing angle and theatre seating go hand-in-hand. Matt has made this abundantly clear in his video reviews.
P.S., I do like this B+. Three things I like. 1. Azdel 2. Fiberglass roof 3. Ducted A/C
I might take out the beautiful chair behind the passenger seat for a cupboard that houses jackets, boots, flashlights, etc. Also, I'd use the wardrobe cupboard for a combo washer/dryer! Thanks for the review!

Three things I don’t like....the accordion door-could have been a pocket door, I would love a couple of holes in the floor in front of the theater seating for small tables--where would I play cards at night, and no ladder. Theee things I like are....the extra recliner, the fridge, and the theater seats. This one reminds me of the one my dad had back in the 90’s, it brings back some memories.
Love the theater seating in this. We need to switch our sofa to that. Also, I understand their are limited options but the tv placement in most RV’s are horrible. Not sure what they are thinking sometimes. Just like this coach has we love having a #convectionoven in ours. Not having a traditional oven frees up so much space for drawers. Love this motor home except for the bathroom sink. And the color on the outside. Hate the maroon color. Rather have a dark blue instead.
I’d rather have some two tone colors, like taupe/khaki/white. Subtle, not loud and obnoxious. Too often they make them look like we all just left our double wide home and hit the road. I do not like tacky.
Love 1. No bunk over the cab. 2. Theater seating,. 3. Constitution.
Dislike: 1. Countertop. 2. Water fill area. 3. No ladder.
Keep doing the great job on the videos. Just wish I could talk my wife into buying one.

I have been looking to upgrade my Lexington and haven't seen a floor plan until you showed this one. My 3 dislikes outside tv (wish it was a outside kitchen instead)theater seating and the water hookup area. 3 thing I love the slides in and you can walk to the fridge, the fridge, no bunk over the cab.

Lot to like, some items I wish were different. Move the tv to above the chair across from theatre seats. Add an oven. Btw I thought the outside looked good.

Such a cute pup! Wow, congrats on the weight loss, Matt! Godzilla!!! Very attractive appearance with Azdel, we appreciate that it has the side and back up cameras. Great awning for plenty of shade. Some small pass through storage and enclosed tank controls. I agree, just how are you going to unlock that storage door? It’s a very nice decor when you step inside, with the theater seats (wouldn’t want to get out of them as they look so comfy), with air ducting throughout. Flexible shelving in the galley is appreciated, very handy. No counter prep space. Like the power tower. Drawers in the sleeping area are good and several windows give it natural light and ventilation. Small bath, but it’s a small motor home. My feet would swing.
Dislikes are lack of counter space, since there isn’t a dinette area there’s no other option for extra space, and the bathroom. Think it’s very nice for the price, but for one or two people traveling. Thank you guys, for the tour.

1. Because there is no dinette why there is a kitchen? I would love it more if there is a counter top from the outside, an open kitchen that connect to the outside.
2. I would like it more if it a folded bed. I forgot which RV I have seen from your video, but I like the one with the sofa underneath and kind of like a wall behind. Just to increase a little bit of space.

You had me with the reclining theater seats because the backs are high enough to support your head-a lot of “recliners” in RV’s don’t have head support. BUT I’m still not in love with the TV placement.
Yes I agree, you two complement each other nicely! I did not like the accordion door separating the bedroom nor did I like the tightness of the bedroom itself my third. My third dislike is if you had tried to shut that bathroom door or you definitely would not found it comfortable. Matt, Aundrea, I'm suffering from covid-19 belly over belt syndrome and need #microwave convection oven or a new belt to support the rest of my America physique!

In answer to a question you had in another video, "what do you call the kitchen faucet". Here is one answer "is retractable spout, with a flexible pull-down wand". Don't like the idea of no ladder and no eating space. As per the layout drawing you can get a table less the recliners. Overall it seems a little tight for me.

Ink removal...Amodex..works wonders..found in food stores or fabric stores...non toxic too.
Love the RV my big complaint is lack of outside storage. We actually took one for a test drive and loved everything but lack of storage. Now looking at small class A's. As always great review

Three things I dislike: 1) GOTTA HAVE THE BED OVER CAB. Especially with theatre seating. Otherwise you’re totally limited to just the bed for sleeping for longer than one night. 2) TV PLACEMENT BITES. What’s the point in theatre seating if you have to turn your head like that? 3) can we PUHLEESE get away from all these DARK interior woods & colors???

D: bedroom a bit too much of a tight squeeze (we rented a 28' Majestic in 2011, and the co-pilots complaint was the room space and how to make the bed along with the crawling around in the middle of the night for the potty run); accordion door (although with no other sleep-space who are you seeking privacy from.); the sloppy bay with the power cord; exposed water inlets (maybe make the ext. shower space a bit larger and place inside there). Stay safe and cool you two. 😷😷😷😷

I like your 89,995 sale price better lol. As I’ve done my research, nexus does build some solid coaches. But the interior besides the theater seats and convection microwave, does remind me of grandmas house. All in all, I can definitely solo full time in this thing.

Since they don't have a dinette(and I am OK with that), that would be a good option so you can sit and eat watching TV. A flip up counterspace next to the sink would be an easy way to add space in the kitchen. Nice sized bathroom. Nice storage inside. I agree with Andrea I don't like the cabinet color. #convectionoven

Matt please take us for a ride in a V10 E450 and also a V8 E450 comparing the two. I'd love to see the difference in ride, handling, power, and engine noise.
Dislikes:
- Dated, busy decals/graphics on the over cab.
- Needs three point belts in the coach.
- Interior looks dated. Maybe not for my parents but no way someone in their 30's - 40's (which seems like a growing demographic) will think the interior is up to date.
