  • Recently got the Kodak Ektar H35 Half Camera which I really wanted to test to see how it would be like...I never owned one so wanted to test is ASAP however you guys know it takes time for products to come from the States to Japan and I was becoming an Impatient bastard....
    FYI this video is not sponsored by Kodak (I have no sponsorship atm wink wink) hoping Kodak Official will see this video and fix the problem that this camera has in the end....
    this time around I went around to Shakujii Park in Tokyo aka Tokyo Metropolitan Shakujiii Park 15min from Ikebukuro on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line (one stop on express line) 10min walk away from the station....its famous for its pond and ducks
    so hope you guys enjoy....

    Remember it's not Kodak it's Reto Project that made these. Great review! I think I'm going to hold out and try and find an Olympus Pen. Going to Japan in April. Do you think I'll be able to find one there?!?! Thanks!!

    Is there a limit to the type of film speed i can shoot with a camera like this? Example, can i put 800 ISO film in this bad boy and go shoot at night? Thanks in advanced Ryo. I enjoy your videos, very soothing.

      Ur welcome it's good to comment for the benefit of the community thanks for watching... Unlike a film compact camera like Contax where the camera can Identify the dxo code (what iso speed film it's been loaded with) to this camera doesn't have that feature so you can put whatever film you like but keep it mind that it shoots at a fixed setting shutter speed 1/100 and F8/11 if I can recall which means that if you stick a 800 speed film it will shoot exactly the same as loading in a 100 film but since the 800 speed film is more sensitive to light you will get a brighter image and it will be great for night...but yeah if it's too dark you can use the flash don't forget loading a battery while your at it :) good luckkkk

    Hi! I really loved your vid! I also own one, and I'd just like to add to the cons: its exposure counter. I personally have a hard time reading the numbers (and constantly have a guessing game) of how many shots I still have left because of the interval by 4's. 😅

    • @RM.TokyoPhotographer
      @RM.TokyoPhotographer  Před rokem

      Oh yeah forgot about that too ...I also should of said...is my shot going to appear first or last in that single frame since it might screw soooo many ppl ...and guessing till 72exposure makes my head crack thanks for the input :)

    Thanks for the in-depth review. Lovely photos as well 💗 I just finished my first roll with the camera and look forward to the results. Did you happen to use the flash in some of your outdoor shots?

    • @RM.TokyoPhotographer

      Thankyou so much I actually an a type of person that doesn't like using flash since it causes weird reflection/things objects look too artificial/glossy in my opinion but if light is essential itscaways best to use 📸 flash

    Hello.. :) just want to address your concern about the rewind lever after you've finished the film.. There is a very tiny release button at the opposite end of the lever under the camera that is supposed to release the 'tension' of the film before you can wind it back into its film roll..
    Not sure if you're aware of this but if you already are.. i'm still going to purchase it anyway just to try/see it for myself.. it will be my first ever point & shoot cam btw.. 😅😂😁 and your vid helped me out a lot.. thanks.. 📷❣️

      Hiii thanks for commenting~ hope your doing great.. Thanks for letting me know I actually pressed that are before starting to wind the film and unfortunately maybe it's my copy that I recieved but it's hard as a 🪨 rock....I hope your copy won't be like mine good luck on your journey ~

    Hi! I wanted to ask you, when I loaded the film and unwind the shutter - I took one picture and then was about to take the second my the shutter wouldn’t stop , and the picture is not been taking … I just scroll and scroll that shutter…

    • @RM.TokyoPhotographer
      @RM.TokyoPhotographer  Před 6 měsíci

      I think the film isn't grasping the reel that you attach the film to if once you attach it to the reel and take a photo with the backside open it should wind onto the right side of the when with the sprocket holes top and bottom winding onto grasping it

    Hi! Just a quick question. I already took more than 10 shots but the counter is still on S, i think i loaded the film correctly tho. Kinda worried that those shots didnt count.

    • @RM.TokyoPhotographer
      @RM.TokyoPhotographer  Před rokem

      Hello...if the film is not attached to the winding pole there is an area where you attach the film sprocket holes the winding pole before to our close the film back you should try shooting two shots to make sure if it winds to the pole

    • @noreencalingasan3765
      @noreencalingasan3765 Před rokem

      @@RM.TokyoPhotographer thank you! I tried winding it, and i see that the winding pole rotates. Does that mean the shots are successful?

    • @RM.TokyoPhotographer
      @RM.TokyoPhotographer  Před rokem

      @@noreencalingasan3765 if its successful...the film counter should move to S->1->2->3 I cant vouch but if the film counter moves it should be working properly however...since you said its not changing...im kinda nervous ....

    • @RM.TokyoPhotographer
