I absolutely love your videos! I taught 2nd last year (virtually) so writing was an absolute struggle! Luckily this year, I will be in person for 2nd grade. I'm just curious for your fall opinion writing, did you just have all of your students write about fall? I made the epic mistake of letting my students choose any season for their first opinion piece and it was a HOT mess for me and them. Thanks!
I let them all choose their own favorite season, however it was really structured. We planned our writing in categories of - activities, foods and types of weather during that season. We brainstormed sentence stems so each student could easily plug their unique ideas into the sentence stems. I try to structure all my writing lessons this way to make them more manageable!

Robert Munsch is a very famous Canadian children’s author. There isn’t a child in Canada who hasn’t read a Munsch book. He has some amazingly funny books and you can also get audio of him reading his stories.
