The Lotus Esprit is a sports car built by Lotus Cars from 1976 to 2004 at their Hethel, England factory. It has a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. Together with the Lotus Elise / Exige, it is one of Lotus' most long-lived models. (Source below)

For me, it was in the late 90s when I first played this game. It was even the first game ever I played. I was so happy when I managed to install this game on my computer haha.

Why messing up the aspect ratio by stretching a 4:3 picture to a wide format?
It happened automatically when I installed this game, and it never bothered me too much. Therefore I just left it this way.
