Singapore airlines flight 6’s pilots actually made a bad decision to taxi slower than usual because they thought that they had reached the runway since they were slower than usual and went to the wrong runway, but the runway that they had wrongly went to was closed since there were still construction pieces on the runway not cleared and they hit the pieces so that is why they crashed.

One of the pilots was focusing on keeping the plane on the centre line while taxiing, and the other was focussed on other things. There was also no ground radar and (if I remember correctly) the taxiway lights were dimmer then usual on the path where they should’ve taxied, so the pilot just assumed he was going the right way. Also in Singapore, the taxiway lights are only lit up on the route where the plane will taxi, but in Taiwan (and most other places), all of the taxiway lights are lit up, so the pilots weren’t used to that. Sorry if this last part is confusing

As with any accident there are many factors involved. First, the typhoon which severely reduced visibility and implored the Captain to taxi much slower than would be normal. Second, the inoperative ground radar, which would have shown the controller the aircraft’s position. Third, the fact that the runway lights were still on despite the runway being closed for construction. Taxiing at a large airport in low visibility conditions in the dark is not easy at all - I can tell you that

😩" Truth is that We just NEVER know how, when, or where Tragedy will strike Us and Others. The passengers in the back could've just as easily perished, instead of those within the front or midsection. No one seat is really any safer than another. Some passengers just ' lived to see another day ' instead of the unfortunate ones. It is written.... "
" But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. " - Mark 13:32
